@Thegirlhasnoname for longevity have a look at Magnatiles for your little one. I bought some when DD1 was 11 months at Christmas and she liked stacking them, looking at them in the light, good for colour matching games as they get older. Then cam be used to build (only ever stables in our house…) for small world play. So popular that I bought a second set when for DD2s first Christmas.

Still played with now at 8 and 5. All aged cousins and adults like laying with them too.
We take them when we go on holiday with some animals and that’s all they need for in cottage entertainment!

Justrealised · 25/08/2021 12:42

Not very Christmassy but IWOOT have 40% off their Disney hoodies both adult and childrens. Some nice designs.

Lemonsandlemonade · 25/08/2021 12:43

@Smileatthesmallthings @crazycatlady7 thanks I’ll get it I think.

Any ideas my DN is very into crafts any ideas/bargains? She is 15.

Justrealised · 25/08/2021 12:53

Sorry not hoodies, they're sweatshirts.

oatmilkisntsobad · 25/08/2021 12:55

Was there a code for free delivery from House of Fraser?

MerylSqueak · 25/08/2021 13:04

@Lemonsandlemonade what sort of crafts?

Nothappyland · 25/08/2021 13:05

@happytobemrsg
Balance bike
Doll and pram
Dolls house
Sandpit
Trampoline
Scooter
Mine will be a similar age and I haven’t chosen her main present yet. Probs will just end up buying her lots of bits that will add up in cost!

UrbanMage · 25/08/2021 13:05

@shipperssss

I may have to see myself out as I'm almost done and I know this thread will encourage unnecessary spending (no shade, I just know what I'm like)

Just need to sort my Dad 👍🏻 so any ideas for him are welcome? He likes motorbikes (has a road bike and races and likes watching racing), dressing smart, has a beard, drinks alcohol and has a motorhome. (hoping the list may help for ideas)

Thanks.

Beard oil? Maybe find a local seller on Etsy or something? If it helps bought some through Beard and Wonderful a couple of years ago for DH, My DSD and my brother and I know DH really likes his. Not ultra bargainous but I know they are good quality.

How about a nice etched glass that's related to his motorhome? Maybe some drinks stones and a nice beverage to go with it?

Worst comes to worst a Hobbycraft voucher? Or sign her up to a class?

Lemonsandlemonade · 25/08/2021 13:08

@MerylSqueak

She is into she taught herself to crochet in lockdown.

Crochet
Painting
Cooking
Anything really

Smileatthesmallthings · 25/08/2021 13:12

@Lemonsandlemonade if she likes baking how about some sugarcraft equipment and books so she can make some fun cakes and biscuits (and of course you get to help test out her creations!) I did a cake decorating course which was fun, maybe you could get a voucher for that to do together as well, then you can help.

Twilightstarbright · 25/08/2021 13:18

@Lemonsandlemonade you could buy her a voucher for wool warehouse? Or a crochet kit? You can buy kits for blankets, animals, bags, anything really.

Scout2016 · 25/08/2021 13:26

@Lemonsandlemonade Rainbow Lux do glass decorating kits you post back for fusing
rainbowluxglass.co.uk/shop/

Something like that? Or a needle felting kit?

Scout2016 · 25/08/2021 13:33

@Lemonsandlemonade The range are good for watercolour paints. This Windser and Newton set is good quality and a good price I think and there are others.

woodwaj · 25/08/2021 13:40

@Froppysue Next sell Victoria's Secret now so you could have a nosey there?

Purpleheadgirl · 25/08/2021 13:42

@Lemonsandlemonade there looked to be lots of craft sets on the aldi sale site - variety of ages and abilities but good prices

cutebutscary · 25/08/2021 13:45

Blatant Christmas pixie place mark

MerylSqueak · 25/08/2021 13:54

@Lemonsandlemonade I knit and would appreciate trying something similar like Macrame. My link has failed but I have just seen reasonable price lots at Aldi and Hobbycraft.

DD who like baking I bought a cake decorating set, a waffle maker and a hand whisk.

DD who likes drawing I got the bargain Derwent shading set linked before. I'll see if I can find it.

MerylSqueak · 25/08/2021 13:58

It's not a bargain any more but it's the Derwent Academy Sketching Set on Amazon

Arthien · 25/08/2021 13:58

Inspired by the earlier request for rubber duck pictures, I remembered this website, dedicated to all things "ay up mi duck". I bought a few bits for my Nottingham born and bred husband and his family last year and they were all well-received Dukki Gifts

Froppysue · 25/08/2021 14:09

Thanks @woodwaj it’s a VS in next which is closest to us now, but still quite far tbh (the new st James quarter in Edinburgh) Dd has been once with her friend but its not accessible to me unfortunately. I’ll keep an eye out for sales online!

Willow4987 · 25/08/2021 14:23

@Lemonsandlemonade I recommend this crochet kit seller on Etsy. They have handy videos as well

RainbowPhilosophy · 25/08/2021 15:38

I'm going to attempt a link so bear with me if it goes wrong Blush

Amazon have Lego fire helicopter sets reduced to £15 from £24.99. My son has this and really likes it because you can shoot the "water" out of it Grin

Smile3 · 25/08/2021 16:06

Wtfdidwedo · 25/08/2021 16:07

Thank you so much for this! It's 3 for £16 on Disney t-shirts which is great for a family with 3 children to bulk out gifts Smile we might be going to Disneyland Paris in the new year as well so a great idea for outfits!
