@Thegirlhasnoname

There was me thinking I had got away with a £3.99 air fryer but woke to it cancelled this morning 😂

Just realised I’ve been focusing on DD (3 in Oct) for Christmas bargains when I will also have DS (11 months on Xmas day) to buy for too. What do you buy younger siblings when I’m pretty sure he will just want whatever DD has and probably be more than happy with wrapping paper?!

DS just got these for his 1st birthday from my brother (notoriously shit at gifts!) and they’ve been a massive hit: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/lalaboom-educational-beads-and-accessories-e7033.html

We also put away some toys that DD (4) has outgrown earlier in the year so we’ll be giving him them for Christmas. He loves things he can push and pull like this: Orange Tree Toys Jemima Puddle Duck Push Along www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MM6K3C0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_04ZM209JH401FRRN0D0E?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21 and this: Fisher-Price FGW66 Chatter Telephone, Toddler Pull Along Toy Phone with Numbers and Sounds for 1 Year Old www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LZYGY8H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CS0MB9VXYB0XJA6BB2D7?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Also the Plan Toys dinosaurs on wheels and Lanka Kade animals are firm favourites too.

Just went to check out the sale and House of Fraser are selling Slipknot tops.
I feel so old!

princessbear80 · 25/08/2021 08:34

Code BTS21 gets 25% of at Nike. You have to sign up as a member, and you get free delivery. Works on full price and sale.

Lemonsandlemonade · 25/08/2021 08:38

Argos have this ball pit on sale for £4 which is available at local Argos. Is it be too flimsy do you think?

Extra15 off all discounted toys at the entertainer. DN fancies this for his birthday, safe to say original price inflated as £39.99 on Amazon but still £6 cheaper.

We had one similar to that for my son's first birthday. It was fine for him to sit in and throw balls about. It's not one for leaping in and out of as it's just 4 plastic poles holding up the sides. Packs away quite small, unlike the 300 balls I got to go in it 🤣

Froppysue · 25/08/2021 09:34

How on earth did I miss the whole of thread 2?!
Need to up my game, thanks reastie.

This year is going to be a lot tighter than normal, struggling with advance buying now the kids are older though. (13,15 & 19) what do other parents of teens do? I know dd2 loves Victoria secret but a bit concerned if I buy a bra she will have grown again by December lol, I’m hoping they’ll do a Black Friday sale🤞

MerylSqueak · 25/08/2021 09:45

@Froppysue I'd do vouchers wrapped with a token gift like an eye mask or a really frilly pair of pants.

TheCrow · 25/08/2021 09:46

Sorry to repeat but posting this in the new thread as well as thought it was an amazing bargain- our local British Heart Foundation has brand new Claire's Accessories jewellery ex-sale stock at 3 for £1. The lady said they get sent a few boxes a couple of times a year by Claire's so it should be in other branches as well.

MrsS92 · 25/08/2021 09:58

Extra20 gets 20% off at Chelsea Peers NYC comes off sale prices too.
Really lovely pyjamas and loungewear.

That’s a really good idea thank you! Sadly no VS near me unless I could buy vouchers online… off to have a wee nosy!

@MrsS92 thanks for the Chelsea peers, always wanted a pair of their pjs

Sideorderofchips · 25/08/2021 10:18

Checking in!

Sideorderofchips · 25/08/2021 10:19

How many years have we been doing this now @Reastie 😂😂

shipperssss · 25/08/2021 10:33

I may have to see myself out as I'm almost done and I know this thread will encourage unnecessary spending (no shade, I just know what I'm like)

Just need to sort my Dad 👍🏻 so any ideas for him are welcome? He likes motorbikes (has a road bike and races and likes watching racing), dressing smart, has a beard, drinks alcohol and has a motorhome. (hoping the list may help for ideas)

Thanks.

Daisy829 · 25/08/2021 10:52

Just picked up the urban decay palette from boots. It’s stunning, especially for a prince fan. My friend is going to love it. Thanks so much for whoever posted originally about that.
I’ve been to b&m today. Lots of HP & friends xmas stuff out. They had a HP self stirring mug which I thought was quite cool.

Room4onemore · 25/08/2021 11:04

👋

PinkJam · 25/08/2021 11:14

@shipperssss I have to be careful on the temptation too! I am determined this year to only buy something that’s reduced if it’s already on my list.

Dogatetheleftovers · 25/08/2021 11:14

Place marking. Thanks everyone for the ideas. If I find any, I’ll be sure to post them here.

InglouriousBasterd · 25/08/2021 11:21

Place marking here too. Bloody love these threads

Restlessinthenorth · 25/08/2021 11:30

Thanks for the tip on free mascara. I am at the real life shops later so I will try my luck!

We have one like this and it's fine, it gets emptied on a regular basis but my son is nearly 2 and still enjoys playing in it
FlatteredFool · 25/08/2021 12:23

@shipperssss you could try the TT website for bike merchandise.

Bike chain photo frame
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077CM9PZR/ref=cmswwrcppawdbimmmZVK6JFBJWSR0KFE0V7T3?encoding=UTF8&psc=1

You can get a few similar things from that brand and other similar ones. The photo frames are lovely.

Room4onemore · 25/08/2021 12:25

Think I’m nearly finished for my will be 3 year old, just to get her a bike and a dolls pushchair
