@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah is your DC interested in anything in particular? DS loves Frozen so we started with some frozen Lego.

Duplo is great if you have a younger child around, we do more of our elaborate constructions in duplo as they are a bit more sturdy. As DS got older we got the character duplo like the toy story sets.

Just wanted to repeat something a PP said about amazon warehouse. I've had some cracking deals from there of late, including dragon snacks board game for £3, an indoor ice curling game for DH (looks fun) for £3 as well as disney cars mini metal cars for £1 each for the advent calendar drawers. All we're in good condition, certainly not enough for my boys to notice anyway! The cardboard box goes in the recycling bin and they have a brand new toy just the same. Winner winner.

Thanks for the We print balls info. When I first looked it was only size 3 balls in the sale but now size 5 which i have purchased as the size 3 was too small for my nephew. Serious aunty brownie points on xmas day for me!

Was looking to buy some stationery for DNeice. She is (a young) 12. Looked at Typo, but I think the cultural references are beyond her. But smiggle seems a bit young. Thanks for the barbie babysitter tip from bargainmaxx. Added in a box of those stupid twisty pets. 2 braclets and 4 rings in a box for £8.99. I split everything into little paper bags for stockings so a nice wee mini set.

Also- order your paper bags for stockings now- been doing it for years now having read it here. Saves wrapping, but gives the excitement of wrapping. I use a different colour for each child to chaos. Just type striped paper bags into ebay or amazon and a selection come up. I have loads left.

I recommend getting a Papergang box - there's usually offer codes floating around for a 1/2 price 1st box

Do we think Amazon will reduce kids fire tablets again before Christmas? I was hoping for black Friday discounts after prime day in July. But them being reduced this weekend has thrown me.

I don't want to buy them too far away from Christmas and miss out on the full guarantee/subscription
