It's been uncomfortably hot here, and we spent 3 hours sat in FILs garden for food. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal though 😋

We're sat with a fan on, watching some rubbish on tv. I'm trying to motivate myself to crochet but it hasn't happened yet.
I have spent a lot of time nosing online at different species of cactus and have decided at some point im going to buy a Christmas cactus (pic) 🌵 🎄

Crazy that's beautiful. I think my mum had one of those.

I'm ok so far. A wee bit tired - I fell asleep without doing any crochet earlier but we had a quick BBQ and I'm watching the football with DH. DS has got a week of exams starting tomorrow so that's going to be fun in a hot exam hall 🥵

Crazy my mum had one of those in a macrame holder in the hallway. It was the only houseplant that survived

Woolly he has my sympathies! It's forecast a bit cooler here tomorrow, so fingers crossed it's tolerable. Glad you're feeling okay after your jab

Fighting cats (not mine) in the field woke us at 4ish...I don't think I'll survive until bedtime. 🥱😴
Off out shopping later, and DH has a lengthy list for B&Q, so we might save that for tomorrow for.
He wants to refelt the shed roof. We did it about 12 yrs back and it was a pita to do then, so I'm not looking forwards to that job! It's not leaking, but it probably will fail if it gets windy in the winter.

Morning all. Our dog woke me up at 6. Dh was already up but had come upstairs for something.... turns out our 6 month old puppy wasn't happy about this, jumped over the safety gate and flew up the stairs. After about 3 hours sleep with a snotty toddler I need all the caffeine today.

Morning , really dull here this morning, feels like a winter morning but not cold! If it stays like this I'll be lighting my candle and putting the electric stove smoke effect on while I work . Now I'm actually hoping it does stay like this!

I have a lot of sympathy for your DS Woolly - exam halls are stuffy and horrible at the best of times!

I drank so much yesterday to stay hydrated in the heat that I had to get up twice in the night (for a wee) so I feel a bit tired and unsettled this morning.

Is a Christmas cactus old fashioned given that everyone's mum had one?

I started work at 7:30 as I was up and had done a few bits already - was thinking I could finish early then realised I have a meeting at 3 so I think 3:30 is the earliest I can get away.
My house desperately needs a good vacuuming but I'm not doing that when it's bloody boiling (going to get to 24/25 here again today apparently) 🥵

Crazy well, macrame pot holders are old-fashioned to me Firefly isn't the only one who remembers them but they've made a come back and are trendy now, so I would go for it if I were you.
Normally anything I have chucked away becomes fashionable or worth something a couple of years later. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Puss a few friends of mine have taken up macrame since WFH and I've seen it become popular.
It takes me back to my nans house though so it's not for me.

Woolly yes it was me with the rubbish wildflowers. Apparently I'm growing various types of grass 🙄

I finished work at 4, just as my dad got here. He had to leave the job he was doing early because of a delayed delivery so he came here to cross a job off my list - the wall out the front it now half the length so we can get cars on and off the drive more easily.
While he was out the front working I ran around like crazy trying to tidy up as the house was clean but messy - not very mn I know!

To make myself feel better I've also included a pic of my lavender and thyme (with a bee hidden in there) as they're growing very well.

Hi folks, I am on the second of two days off. Yesterday was hideous so I haven't really done very much apart from a few loads of washing and changed the beds.
