Been picking up non-perishables as I’ve been going along. Need to do fresh food, Veg, cheese etc.
Was planning on 23rd but now wondering if that will be too late as imagine with more people staying home and having to buy for thier little family things might run our earlier this year?
Eg in normal years for example with 4 households going to one house for Xmas dinner only 1 pack of sprouts, 1 jar of cranberry etc will be needed but if those 4 households are now all staying home then they will all buy a bag of sprouts and a jar of cranberry (as not really easy to get 1/4 bag of sprouts for instance)

I bought non perishables over the past few weeks, bought cheese last week. I’ve already prepped and frozen some of the meal. I just need to get salad stuff and bread from Tesco express early in the morning

We did major stock up including delivery today.

I’m doing my big shop tonight at about midnight as our local Tesco has switched back to 24 hour opening which it stopped a few years back (very happy about that).

I nipped in at 3pm for a few bits after my jog and there was no queue and everything was well stocked.

I've got a delivery booked for tomorrow night, and a click & collect at M&S and Sainsburys tomorrow and Thursday.

I've got all my dry stuff, sweets and crisps etc but need all fresh fruit and veg and some bread. Hoping what I've got will last us all week as don't really want to go to shops before NYE.

I went to Sainsbury’s last night at 8.00 and it was really quiet. All the shelves and fridges were well stocked although some of the dates weren’t brilliant but I got everything I needed.I just need to go to my local co-op to get some bread and milk on Christmas Eve.

I was awake early this morning so went to M&S before 8 and got turkey and a few (?!) extra bits, with main supermarket delivery tonight. Dh got sliced beef at the weekend and I got cheese and Chocs last week.

We do not plan to leAve the house except for smears (and maybe milk) for at least a week now

BiddyPop · 22/12/2020 21:45

Dh got SPICED beef at the weekend - it's an Irish (and family) tradition...

BiddyPop · 22/12/2020 21:47

And we only intend to leave for WALKS (and maybe milk) .. I may have delved too deeply in to Christmas red wine supplies tonight....

Got my Tesco delivery last night - got everything I ordered. Just subbed my pasta salads but I can live with that.

Did mine today...in Oz so a bit different here. Went to supermarket on bus at 11,00am, visited local gallery shop first to get DH's present...then to shops...spent a bloody fortune and then had to drag it all home in an old-lady trolley Grin and a full cooler bag. I'd already got all the chocolates luckily!

Then...got home, had an hour sit down and went to local farmer's market for cherries, potatoes and olive oil.

DD ripped me off into getting some posh soaps and pressed juices.

Tomorrow I have to collect the sushi platter I paid for on the way to the shop today!
