Anyone waiting for an Oodie?

Mine are supposed to be dispatched today but I'm getting a little twitchy looking at the last couple of weeks' Trustpilot reviews - lots of orders not arriving, customer service not responding...

They're not going to get here by Christmas, are they?

@AldiAisleofCrap I hope so too, I already went out and spent the best part of £200 on ‘replacements’

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 22/12/2020 09:01

I have just had a weird e-mail from Andrew 'Freight and Logistics Manager stating Brexit is causing issues and the oodies are stuck in a port. Thing is I work near the area with the trucks stacked up featured on the news, and this has only occurred the last couple of days and my Oodies should have been here by 15th December. It referred to my 'pre-ordered' items- none of them were pre-ordered as I made sure I only ordered in stock items.
I had an e-mail last week saying my oodies were "being packed ready for collection by one of our couriers". None of it makes sense. I think they just took too many orders and can't fulfil them in time.

I have been given an option of waiting and getting 10% of my order back or cancelling and getting a refund.

I now have to replace 6 presents and we are in Tier 4 so all the shops are shut. Grrrr

Yesbutno · 22/12/2020 09:38

@goldenlilliesdaffodillies - yes those are the 2 emails I got, but the second one made no reference to cancelling or getting any money off, just a "thanks for your understanding". Mine are for teens so I think I will just explain to them that they will be here at some point. Annoying when I ordered in October!

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 22/12/2020 09:46

Suddenly lots of positive reviews have sprung up on Trust pilot. I might try that. Weird that the Oodie phone line has been disconnected (and very worrying!). On my order form there is another e-mail for 'blankets and homes'.

I wish I had just ordered fake oodies from Amazon or Etsy now!

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 22/12/2020 09:47

I meant I might try emailing the blanket and homes e-mail- not writing a positive review on Trust Pilot. It's suspicious that suddenly there are lots of positive reviews!

MegBusset · 22/12/2020 15:23

Well despite Oodie saying my order has been dispatched, DPD has the status of it as 'not received' so not holding my breath...

Mine arrived today Royal Mail!
@goldenlilliesdaffodillies if you ordered in October as I did they were pre orders.

MegBusset · 23/12/2020 08:43

Mine's with DPD and due to be delivered today so looks like it'll just make it for Christmas!

I had an e-mail from a human today rather than a computer generated which is more reassuring. Unfortunately my order really is stuck at the port and won't get here until January. My husband ships items across the world and says that there is a massive problem at Felixstowe port and has been for a few weeks due to storms at sea, plus Brexit etc, so it sounds the Oodie hold up is genuine.
I have to decided to wait until January and because I agreed to this, I have immediately been refunded 15%.

SparklingLime · 23/12/2020 11:38

Mine were due for despatch in early January, and I’ve just got the email about not being able to get them from Dover. As others’ orders are getting through now and we’ve all been given the same lack of lorries excuse it’s not really adding up.

SparklingLime · 23/12/2020 11:40

Cross post, @goldenlilliesdaffodillies - I’ll take your inside knowledge and accept their explanation then.

SparklingLime · 23/12/2020 11:43

Mind you, I wasn’t offered a discount. And aren’t things likely to get worse lorry-wise in January, @goldenlilliesdaffodillies?

  • Felixstowe
goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 23/12/2020 12:13

Yes I think the lorry situation will get worse in January unfortunately. My husband says unless you are really on it and very well co-ordinated with shipments with very reliable people on the ground, things can go pear shaped very quickly. He says everyone is rushing to get things shipped before Brexit. Apparently there are 100's of grounded containers at the port with nothing moving.
I'm not too far from Dover and the pictures on the local news and situation with lorries being stuck due to Covid are really, really bad.

Sparking- I would keep e-mailing them- the first time I was offered 10% discount and then this was upped to 15% after I contacted them about 3 times.

SparklingLime · 23/12/2020 12:41

Thanks, @goldenlilliesdaffodillies. If things are going to get worse and the Oodie company don’t seem to have the best logistics in place, then I’m wondering if we have much chance of getting them in January?

Christmassequins · 23/12/2020 12:46

I ordered a Kudly instead and it was due to be despatched on 23rd December. It arrived early last week, so I can only assume the issue is company specific.

Maybe they'd be worth a try for any post Christmas orders?

Holothane · 23/12/2020 12:46

My friends has turned up, so that’s great, I’ve ordered another for another friend and I got the discount as well. Must admit I love mine.

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 24/12/2020 09:38

By some miracles all my Oodies have literally just been delivered! After accepting a 15% discount, which was immediately given, a couple of hours later I had a flurry of e-mails saying my order was on its way. DPD have just delivered a huge box of Oodies, so all was fine in the end. I had better get wrapping!

I hope everyone else receives their Oodies in time for Christmas . :)

vjg13 · 24/12/2020 10:50

Great timing!Xmas Smile

SparklingLime · 10/01/2021 21:56

Are people with post-Christmas delivery dates having their Oodies arrive? Not sure whether to cancel now.

SparklingLime · 11/01/2021 11:12

Bump...

tootyfruitypickle · 11/01/2021 11:26

My despatch date was meant to be 20 December and it’s not here yet I’m afraid.

Oodie says they are considering sending some more by air . Well yes....

SparklingLime · 11/01/2021 11:29

Thanks, @tootyfruitypickle. I don’t get how they can keep selling when they can’t fulfil orders from months ago. Where were they saying that?

tootyfruitypickle · 12/01/2021 08:50

Mine is now with the Royal Mail!! Grin

tootyfruitypickle · 12/01/2021 08:51

Hoping for delivery today so I can retrieve my fleece from dd!!

SinkGirl · 12/01/2021 09:09

I didn’t know what they were but got a similar generic thing for Christmas - my twins have these navy blue soft blankets with white fleecy backs as due to leaking nappies we can’t use duvets. DH got me a giant hoodie version from amazon for Christmas - I wear it a lot as it’s so lovely and warm, plus my twins want lots of extra cuddles which is bonus! Definitely wasn’t over £80 though I’m sure - if you can handle a plain one for anyone who just wants one, that’s an option :) (was under £30 IIRC)
