What dessert are you having on Christmas Day?

DH not too keen on Christmas pudding so we have to do something else.

I just did a trial run of Nigellas Tiramisu with basically half a bottle of Tia Maria in it. It is lovely, but it is too heavy after a full on roast. I'd make it again but I'd swap some TM for coffee. I'm sure my DS was a bit wasted after eating it.

What desserts are you having. I want to do something decedent, but not too heavy. A few years back we did Delia's chocolate torte and it was so rich I binned it. I keep thinking possibly a fancy cheesecake?

Pavlova, with the perhaps drunk mandarin slices...

We are having a chocolate Christmas pudding with salted caramel middle, different ice creams and christmas sprinkles.

Vegan chocolate torte or as we had this recently for DD's birthday maybe I will get an apple strudel and dairy free ice-cream.

M&S Sticky Toffee Trifle

M&S woodland yule log. Still planning on baking cookies with DD though!

Raspberry mousse, fresh fruit with meringue nests or just Eton mess. Trifle, lemon tart

😂 On re-reading the OPs first post I see she doesn't like chocolate torte. Ours is rich too but you only have a small portion. Probably will opt for strudel and ice cream but we have dessert several hours later so the main meal has gone down.

We're having chocolate mousse cake this year ( www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/rich-raspberry-chocolate-mousse-cake/amp ) and there will also be birthday cake floating around. We have a Christmas Day birthday in our family.

Boxing Day will be Trifle/Christmas Pudding.

I love seeing what everyone else is having and when things are served. There's no way we'd manage a massive meal at lunch time or mid afternoon so we sort of split it up. We have the 'starters' for lunch and then sit down for the roast and pudding at tea time. It works well for us. 🙂

I’ve made that before, it’s so good.

Christmas pudding with extra thick cream has been requested.

I made a gingerbread trifle last year (using a bought ginger cake) but it was just too much.

I might make creme brulee this year.

Gingerbread trifle does sound delicious, @evilharpy.
