Arf show of hands, that's what I was thinking!!

So far a lego toy 😂😂😂 it had good reviews on one website then crap on another ie easy to build.

I'm so disappointed with the lego shop sale.. I thought it would be 20 % of everything and it wasn't so I had to get a smaller toy..

But I'll bump it up with some bottles of booze,...
Sounds pitiful compared to some stuff on here like.. BOATS 😂😂. I'll think of the dh receiving a boat as dh opens his toy. But to be fair he doesn't really get anything for me either so...

SpnBaby1967 · 27/11/2020 20:53

I just bought a new TV because he wanted ultra 4k to go with his new xbox so think he's set.

He has socks and star wars car air fresheners too.

SunshineOverStress · 28/11/2020 08:28

I’ve got my boyfriend an Apple Watch 5, a gym king tracksuit, a massage machine, Elemis skin care, a bonsai tree kit, sauvage soap, a father sons polo top, also gonna get him some Chelsea boots and some little bits!

pinkksugarmouse · 28/11/2020 12:58

A CD he asked for
3 books, two he asked for a one I chose "The Louder I Will Sing" by Lee Lawrence

He isn't easy to buy surprises for. There is a big age gap between us and at 74 he has everything he wants. I did get him some binoculars last year though. So pleased I found something different that he would like.

DeeandraReynolds · 28/11/2020 13:14

NOTHING!!!! HELP MEEEEEEEEE 😂😂😂.

DH is a ball ache to buy for. So am I tbf. I love the sound of some of these and love how people do stockings for their dps! That's so lovely. Must do better this year.

lockitdown · 28/11/2020 13:17

I am very jealous at some of these. I would love to be able to buy stuff like this for my Husband.
He has no interests at all except for tinkering outside, fixing fences, collecting wood etc . No gaming, no drinking, no sport, no interest in toiletries or clothes, no hobbies, doesnt read...my god he is a bit boring and has all of the tools he wants (he is a second hand kind of guy).

lockitdown · 28/11/2020 13:18

Also no tech....sheesh

DeeandraReynolds · 28/11/2020 13:21

😫 mine is a bit like that too @lockitdown. No tech, no sport (except watching), he doesn't read books, he isn't arsed about movies, he isn't into fashion, he doesn't do anything with his skin, (still has beautiful skin though Hmm), no gaming... need to have a think.

Maybe an experiencey type thing? We did a vineyard tour a while ago and he liked that. It was a Christmas present. He loves puzzles and escape rooms, so maybe something like that.

Purpler5 · 28/11/2020 13:22

A book so far. Looking for ideas....

@Mustbethewine. Can you post a link to the back massager you mentioned? Thank you!

Gazelda · 28/11/2020 13:24

A couple of books and a subscription to Disney+ so that he can watch Mandelorian.

And a choc orange, choc coins, socks etc.

DeeandraReynolds · 28/11/2020 13:27

Ooooo the pizza oven idea is so cool! That might work for my DH. I hate pizza, but he and dcs love it, so think that might be a nice idea.

Also think he might like a gilet...

Very useful thread Flowers.

HeyMicky · 28/11/2020 13:29

Everlast notebook

Cold smoker
Waterproof beanie for dog walking M

HeyMicky · 28/11/2020 13:31

Oh and in stocking:

Roast potato oil
Whiskey stones
Saker tool
Bakers lame

ErrolTheDragon · 28/11/2020 13:35

Nothing, because we tend to buy stuff we want for ourselves.
He's bought some more Michael Portillo Great Train Journeys DVDs (he likes them when exercising) nominally for Xmas.

Solidarity. Mine too. I've had to ask him in the end and suggested headphones which he agreed to. Found the best option but they're £15.

Now I feel like a tightarse and will end up buying stuff he doesn't want so he has things to open!

He's buying me a kitchen aid stand mixer as joint birthday/Christmas present!

Thewinterofdiscontent · 28/11/2020 13:44

Mine has a birthday the week before 🙄. He’s getting a Hori Hori tool for that and a bottle of Baileys.

Stocking - front door key and socks from his favourite team.
Packet of posh Spanish pork scratchings
Peppermint foot spray ( had to find new work during Covid and it’s killing his feet.
Testicular moisturiser
Chocolate

Main present - belt, book and an absail.

blowinahoolie · 28/11/2020 13:47

Philip Pullman books. Books 1 and 2 Book of Dust.

If he likes collecting wood and outdoorsy stuff could you get him a whittling tool and a book on whittling?
IWouldBeSuperb · 28/11/2020 14:00

Testicular moisturiser?! Shock

Onedropbeat · 28/11/2020 14:02

My DH wants new fancy wheels for his car.
I won’t be buying them and he won’t organise it for himself until spring so I am buying him to open on the day...

Nike blazers (in black Friday sale for £50)
A polo neck jumper (in Black Friday sale)
Small Lego speed champions from the kids
Some aqua di Parma beard balm
Boxers
Christmas coffee
Small port

I’m tempted to buy him more stuff but I’m on maternity leave

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 14:08

Barbour slippers, pjs, trainer liners, sports socks, boxers, cashmere jumper, Tom Ford aftershave

Lyricallie · 28/11/2020 14:10

So far a PS4 Virtual Reality headset I bought off my friend for him and the controllers and a game for it. I'm thinking getting him some joggy bottoms as we are working from home until at least end of next year now.

Not sure what else maybe some chocolate and I have some nice lip balm for him and moisturiser for his stocking.

Maybe get him a cool cookbook and a small Lego set. This has been good for inspo though!

firedragon101 · 28/11/2020 14:21

We have a £50 limit to spend on each other, but both happy with preloved stuff so....

Under the tree
Cashmere jumper
Sealskinz waterproof socks (seconds...but hopefully waterproof 😬😂)

Stocking
Waterproof gloves (non-branded)
Snood
Boxer shorts (not prelovedGrin)
Socks
Choc. Coins
And the traditional satsuma

Thewinterofdiscontent · 28/11/2020 14:23

Testicular moisturiser?! Shock
It’s quite, er effective actually! They come out a bit smoother. Apparently makes them more comfortable if they have to sit down a lot. Luckily we won’t be opening gifts in front of parents this year!

TK Maxx had it for £3.99 and it’s about a fiver on their website.

Wherearefoxssocks · 28/11/2020 14:24

PS4 game
spice rack
Jigsaw
Touch screen gloves
Terry's chocolate orange
Star wars socks

Hmm might get him some whisky
