I have a non-shifting headache from last night too, Crazy. I'm still bunged up so I've taken cold tablets and hopefully they'll work.

I'm still catching up from Friday's system glitch so haven't managed to look at next week's tasks while I'm off. Ah well, I can only do what I can do.

WreckTangled · 16/12/2020 07:49

A second loo is my dream crazy

The dc have their school Christmas lunch today and wear Christmas jumpers. I too have Christmas lunch and jumper via teams need to go to M&S to buy my lunch as we have a £5 allowance for it... woo hoo Hmm will try and get some chicken doughnuts too Grin

WreckTangled · 16/12/2020 08:12

I need to pay some cheques in. My nearest bank is 20 miles away and I'm so pissed off with the whole thing I wish they would just ban cheques. You can pay them in at the post office but need a paying in book which I don't have because it's not 1998 Hmm ffs. Does anyone bank with a bank than allows you to pay in cheques via the app because I'm going to change banks.

Carriemac · 16/12/2020 08:19

I just take a picture of mine with the app- first direct I really rate them as a bank

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 16/12/2020 08:36

Wreck Mine (Lloyds) does, so does Barclays and Halifax.

WreckTangled · 16/12/2020 08:48

I've been with first direct before and they were great.

Thanks boots I'll look at those too.

M&S had sold out of the doughnut dippers but I did get cheese in blankets which I can usually never find. Yum.

NerosFiddle · 16/12/2020 09:09

Wreck I still haven't got the doughnuts.

I had a look and Santander doesn't seem to take cheques via the app.

It's really stormy here. I think there's weather warnings in place.

Marshmallow I think I might watch Gavin and Stacey tonight too.

Dc are watching home alone again. They love it! They're even doing wee impressions.

CrazyBaubles · 16/12/2020 09:20

I'm with Lloyds too. LDHs grandparents send him a cheque for his birthday and Christmas & putting it in on the app is so easy. Def change banks Wreck

I have in and took some paracetamol Fluffy. I'm also using decongestant nose spray and have an Olbas oil inhaler thing which is helping.

DH is so excited about the second loo. I'm a bit 🤷‍♀️ about it - much more excited about the idea of a garden I can use!

Neros I have a bit of a love/hate thing with Gavin and Stacey. I find it funny but also think it really doesn't help with welsh stereotypes although I definitely know some people who are very similar to the characters 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 😂

It's so dark and horrible here, torrential rain so I've put Noelle on to try and feel festive. Never seen it before

NerosFiddle · 16/12/2020 10:34

Crazy I can't stand James Corden. But I do love Gavin and Stacey especially the 1st Christmas special. I can't believe that it's 10 years old.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/12/2020 10:47

Morning. Hope yours colds are soon finished Crazy and Fluffy

Productive morning here so far. I've made rolls for lunch, wrapped the last of the presents that DD1 asked me to wrap on her behalf and made up the last 3 parcels for the post. DS finishes school in just over an hour so I'm going to pick him up and bring him home for lunch. Then I'll do my post office trip this afternoon. I iced three cakes yesterday so the only thing left on my pre-Christmas to-do list is make a Yule log and that's going to be a job for Christmas Eve.

I'm still waiting on one item. It's a print I bought from Etsy for DD1. Tracking says it's in this country (from the US) but there's been no further movement since 8 December. If all else fails I wrap the frame and the mount and we can put the print in when it finally gets here.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/12/2020 10:55

You have been very productive Woolly. I am sat in a chair not doing much at all. I have electrician in replacing the bathroom extractor fan at the moment.

MarshmallowManiac · 16/12/2020 11:05

Morning everyone. Banging drum and jingling bells
Xmas Grin Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Star Star Star Cake Wine Gin Glitterball [santa] Star Star Star
YAYY single figures, can't believe we're that close!

Lovely and sunny, tempted to go into town but we have rain promised later.
Totally forgot our crib this year, finally got it down from the loft. DH tried to put some old lights round the door but some didn't work, so that squashed that idea. Sad

MarshmallowManiac · 16/12/2020 11:13

Back a little better this morning, have a B12 injection this evening, please remind me later guys as always forgetting them and nurse isn't ever very happy. Any ideas on how to get teens to watch Christmas movies, have offered hot choc and food but is not really working. My DD would watch them but my DS not so much. Sad

Wreck you've just reminded me need to get out and get that Christmas food.

Neros my DD got me onto it and I am really enjoying watching it. Smile I haven't seen the first Christmas special yet but am looking forward to it. Xmas Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 16/12/2020 11:16

Wow Woolly you have had a powerfilled morning. Trying to coax myself to move out of the chair. Grin Think I'm going to write my Christmas food shopping list. Smile

NerosFiddle · 16/12/2020 19:58

I made a lovely salted Carmel and apple tart this afternoon with custard. Absolutely stuffed now. I want to go for a lie down but I'd probably sleep.

I have a Sainsbury's order coming on Sunday and then Tesco on Wednesday. Sainsbury's will have everything for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and stuff for my Christmas Eve buffet. Tesco has everything for the day itself and stuff to make curries etc.

CrazyBaubles · 16/12/2020 20:39

Neros it's Doris who makes me laugh the most. I met the actress once at a charity thing, she was lovely and made a fair few funny sarcastic comments 😂

DH had his last day of term today so he's on housework and shopping duty tomorrow while I work. Plan is for him to do a few errands, do the last of the shopping then we're almost in isolation (barring a meal on Sat we have booked for our anniversary which is on 22nd).

I'm finished except for DH who has asked for things over budget and it having a rethink 🙄
I also finished my snowman cushion today so I don't have anything that desperately needs doing. I feel a bit odd not madly crafting away Xmas Grin

NerosFiddle · 16/12/2020 22:44

Crazy I love the scene at the wedding when Doris is talking about which name is worse West or Shipman. 😂

MarshmallowManiac · 16/12/2020 22:58

That is so funny Neros watched it this week. Grin

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 16/12/2020 23:15

Crazy, are you trying to arrange things to get your DH out of the house?! Sensible, if so! Xmas Grin

I'm not a huge G&S fan. It's OK, but I don't find it as funny as some. It's not down there with Mrs Brown's Boys, mind you, which is terminally unfunny.

Show us your cushion, Crazy!

Woolly, come and do my wrapping! Xmas Smile I'm sure we'll get it all done on Saturday, but I foresee arguments. 😂😂

I've been beavering away on the cross stitch. It's gonna be tight as to whether it's done by Christmas. I need to do the outline on my cheese one too. Arggh.

Neros, do you trust the supermarket deliveries to bring everything? Our Christmas delivery is on Tuesday, but I'm also collecting from Booths, Sainsbury's and the cheese shop. Plus I need to pop into Farmfoods and M&S too. Hopefully M&S will be open early so I can slot it in between Farmfoods and Sainsbury's (7.30 Booths, Farmfoods opens at 8, Sainsbury's collection at 9-10, cheese shop any time that day). They're all within a 1/2 mile area, so it's doable, I reckon!

CrazyBaubles · 17/12/2020 06:57

🎄🎄 8 🎄🎄

CrazyBaubles · 17/12/2020 07:04

Morning!

Fluffy I need DH out as much as possible as he gets bored when stuck indoors and comes to chat to me a lot while I'm working 😂

DH is doing a final shop today, then my dad is going to the farm shop and picking up veg for us and dm and DH is going to his friends farm on 23rd to collect turkeys (for us, dm, FIL and a friend).
He also came home from work with the usual end of term sweets and chocolates so we now have a fair amount of rubbish to eat!

I'm still in bed but will get up in a minute. I have an early finish today - fingers crossed I'm logging off at 3:30 🤞🏼

Have attached a pic of my snowman cushion. I had to wrap him yesterday to make sure I give him away as I'm quite taken with him ⛄️

WreckTangled · 17/12/2020 07:05

I've got a click and collect on Monday but am also in town early Wednesday for dds physio so can always get what's not available. Although we're not entertaining so not a big deal if something isn't there.

Last day of work today! Going out for lunch with my colleague, dd is saying she feels ill but I'm saying tough. Of all the days I have to go in today as I'm going out for lunch

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 17/12/2020 07:09

He's adorable! He'd be hard to give away!

I had shit sleep and was awake from 3.50-5.30. I feel both tired and sick now. I need to get up though!

Thankfully my DH has learned not to bother me too much while I'm working. 😂

WreckTangled · 17/12/2020 07:13

I love the snowman!

NerosFiddle · 17/12/2020 08:23

Morning.

Fluffy I'm feeling the same. I woke up feeling nauseous and now Dh has said the left side of my face is swollen.

Crazy love the snowman.
