Well done Twnkl sound like you've got lots done. We have been doing a little wrapping each morning so at least it doesn't drag out all through the day, slowly getting there. Also wrapped DH's presents this morning so well happy.

Afternoon... still so tired. Had a 2.5 hour safeguarding update today followed by a 1 hour meeting. Things are going to be crazy after Christmas. Three more days. Well 2.5. Plus two more days at the shop. The dc are tired too. Also I coughed twice earlier and got the fear but I think it was just from singing loud to the radio on the way home

Hope you feel better soon Wreck I feel recovery will begin in earnest after the 3 day window. I always sing shout the songs on the way home, feel it's like my release valve popping.

Weirdly, my glands aren't joining in. And my glands do like swelling up (post-glandular fever many moons ago, especially). It's in my throat and ears, though DH says my throat looks normal, weirdly!

I'll see about getting a spray as I'm not too good at gargling salt water! 🤢

I feel my few weeks of drinking every night may kick in this week...my raspberry vodka won't drink itself!

All of my presents have now reached their intended destinations, so I can relax safe in the knowledge everybody has what they need!

I'm going to have 1 more wrapping session, possibly Sat morning as I've still got some presents due to be delivered this week, then I'll be done.

I have images of you singing your heart out in the car wreck. It's one of the only things I miss about having a commute - I have a terrible voice but loved singing in the car on the way home.

Drinking every night Fluffy? I think I'd be dead! We bought 1 bottle of wine (for me), 2 bottles of Bucks Fizz and some Diet Coke to go with the rum and whiskey we have and that's us done.

Tea is done as is my hoovering and washing so I'm about to attempt a hat for my snowman cushion.. going to try a top hat but have a vague idea of a bobble hat as back up because I know how to make one of those.

Crazy Dnephew is 6 and very cute.

I daren't list all our booze 😂. There's at least half a dozen bottles of cranberry and clementine Bucks Fizz. Whiskey, two types of rum, vodka and gin plus a case of wine and a couple of bottles of fizz. Not all for drinking immediately, but we are unlikely to run out any time soon.

Crazy that would be the correct image of me nothing more annoying than having the dc in the car wanting to talk to me when I'm trying to do my best Beyoncé impression so I make the most of it when I'm alone.

Oooh tomorrow we're into SINGLE FIGURES

And we're going into Tier Three so although I can go to London to do some Christmas Mooching it would be ill adviced , nay, foolhardy , so I'll pass .

There are some fabulously over-decorated houses round here so I might grab DD and go out to gawp at some (knowing DD she'll make me drive her round )

We have a fully stocked booze cabinet woolly as DH collects whiskey but we don't buy much in specially for Christmas.
Still gutted out mini M&S doesn't sell alcohol though - am considering stopping at one further away on the way to pick up something I've ordered for DH and hoping they have some.

Sounds like a nice way to kill some time 70 - I thoroughly enjoy loooinf at nice decs.
When FIL used to live an hour or so away we used to drive through a village that had wonderful old cottages that were tastefully decorated and the street decs were amazing. I've missed that the last few years.

I made my snowman hat. Not particularly happy with it but I'm a perfectionist and this doesn't need to be perfect.
Some holly and ribbon on the hat tomorrow and he's done 👍🏻

I was in Covent Garden at the weekend as well Wreck - it was packed! I then walked up Regents St which was also v crowded - not much social distancing. It was like a pre-covid christmas!
Love the cross stitch Fluffy - it makes me want to sew but I don't think I have the skill, patience (or sad to say eyesight !)
I am posting my last cards and gifts today. Then tonight I need to write cards for my team at work and make a start on wrapping DD's gifts including the last few for her advent calendar.
I had a lovely Sunday afternoon writing cards and wrapping whilst watching a Christmas film channel.
I think the confusion re the countdown is whether we are counting down to Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. But then I think this thread is about the journey not the destination (can you spot that I may have watched too much Hallmark!)

I think it's my general baffled-ness this year! I've just checked the water level in the kettle and turned it on. I only clicked after a few minutes that it wasn't on at the socket! 🙈🤦‍♀️

I've made tea with cold water from the kettle - I wondered why there was no steam coming off the mug so stuck my finger in and it was icy cold 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't mind, but the kettle we had at the time Morphy Richards Opera whistled when it boiled... 🤣🤣

I have a lot of alcohol in. Couple of bottle of Buck's Fizz, couple of Prosecco, a few bottles of gin, whiskey and brandy. Knockoff baileys, mulled wine and a case of red and white wine. Still have to get a case of beer.

I'm off to make a lasagna for tomorrow's dinner.

Got up early and have myself a nice relaxed morning (bath, got ready, made breakfast then just caught myself about to put squash in my cuppa and milk in my drinking bottle 🤮).
Ordered some last minute present yesterday and still need to find something to even up things with my niece and nephew 1 after DH bought nephew 2 a twitch present 🙄

One year I WILL be ready by the start of December. I thought I was doing so well this year but I'm not done so must do better!

What age is she crazy? I might be able to give you some ideas.

I've done the cold water drink too, Stockings. Only once for now!

The booze we have is a few Buck's Fizz, a couple of prosecco, some Moscato, then a mix of white and red (mostly white) and maybe a rosé or two. Plus I'm getting a litre of vodka on Thursday. I have peach schnapps and cranberry juice too. Plus my homemade raspberry vodka which I started last night.

I got some beer last week. Plus I'm getting more on Thursday and both me and the inlaws have got beer for DH for his birthday. I think we'll be right!

I am soooo relieved we are not into single figures yet!! I need to buy things for sending "down home" (and finish sewing things for same) before Sunday. And wrap the last few of those. I think, on a quick count, 5 things to sew, 4 to buy, and those plus others I have finished/sorted makes 14 to wrap. I need to go to the office all day tomorrow (long VC meetings with EU), and again on Thursday (another EU meeting but short, and printing needs to be done) - at least on Thursday I can go shopping on lunchbreak for the last bits.

I'm feeling pretty smug as I'm all done apart from food. There's also dh's family secret Santa but I don't see why I should do that so I'm leaving it for him.
