I hate getting up early but at the moment am enjoying the walk to the station in the dark as some of the houses I pass have great Christmas lights.
We had a zoom family quiz last night as well crazy. I managed to decorate our tree at the same time (it had been soaking in a bucket in an attempt to perk it up a bit!
I looked for a cheap Christmas TV guide yesterday but couldn't find any!
I will look today - I need to buy stamps anyway.

I always buy the RTÉ guide (the Irish equivalent of radio times) but I can't find it this year. Not that I've looked to far for it.

Both dc are having their Christmas party today. We are given the choice of sending them in next week. I want to keep them off but Dh is saying to send them in.

Morning, dull and busy day ahead, and I need to find gold choc coins tonight, and make Caribbean fruit swords for our Caribbean pirate picnic tomorrow (kebabs of pineapple, mango and grapes; served with chocolate sauce...). And an eye patch or something to make me a bit Piratical.

DH has gone to school fully expecting some sort of announcement about closing early today. We're both hoping not but I can't see them handling the pressure to close here.

I have a nice day today - we have a work zoom quiz and am finishing at 2:30 to have a mini team Christmas party. Snacks, drinks and Christmas jumper at the ready 🎄

Crazy I bought a chocolate brownie and they're bringing me pea and leek soup! Can't wait it's been pretty busy though and because I have to wear a mask I've had to sip cold coffee in between customers. I think your dh is right unfortunately. We've still got fewer than 60/10000 cases here thankfully but I think it's going up.

Dd met Santa at pre school this morning. She's delighted with her selection box. She is running around hugging it. Little amuses the innocent.

Our Covid numbers are just insane - currently 503/100k! We've apparently had 473 new cases in the last week.
I know I can't but I want to get away from here so badly, it just feels so inevitable that we're going to get ill.

Work was nice, quiz and mini team party was fun. Need a nap now though.

Took ds to football training, last week a dog ran out in front of me and today a deer plus it's really foggy. Met dh there so dd and I are home now.

I had planned my whole week around having 3-4 hrs by myself to get things done this morning. Kids in school and husband away cycling. Shuffled around meetings and work to accommodate. Completely scuppered by a sick child and husband who didn’t want to go out in the cold.

I reckon I could get the non-children wrapping done tomorrow. And maybe the Garland up on the stairs.

I need to do my food list too tomorrow 70. I am annoyed I missed the venison wellington in Waitrose
