Last Yr me and dh didn't buy for eachother as we had a lot of debt and had moved home

This Yr we've cleared the cards. Got the house to a decent standard, done all the kids Xmas shopping so we've agreed on 100 each for xmas

We did say we wernt helping with the ideas but he's honestly awful at gift buying and I'm really not materialistic and want things. He's begging for help for ideas.
But I honestly have no ideas.

I'm not one for having loads of clothes because I'm fussy. Tend to just buy in supermarkets ( plus the kids tend to get stains on me etc)
Footwear hard as I have a painful foot so live in trainers.

I don't wear make up or wear jewellery.
Rarely get hair done, because I simply don't have time as dh works 6 days and only has Sundays off when salon closed. I can occasionally get a sitter for a wash and cut but not 3 hours for a color so home dye.

I like candles, pjs and slippers. That's it. And I've just had a birthday and got all that.

What else is there?
I need inspiration

£100 new pair of boots
Handbag
Nice pair of earrings
Perfume
Naice Smellies
Coat/ jacket

jambeforeclottedcream · 01/11/2020 23:01

Although clothing might be a bit tricky due to trying on and covid

DilysPrice · 01/11/2020 23:11

Micro scale Lego Hogwarts/Lego Diagon Alley
iPhone 12 (old phone is 5 years old and really struggling with age)
New Nigella book
Couple of other books

If I were struggling to find ideas, which I’m not, I’d ask for a brand new duvet, a gorgeous snuggly wool throw for the sofa, a pair of comfy but cool waterproof walking boots and perhaps a year’s subscription to Disney Plus (I’m a sucker for Disney and Marvel movies).

ShoppingBasket · 01/11/2020 23:15

I never buy myself things so my wish list is very boring!
New Jeans and pyjamas but a bit posher than usual.
Green angel exfoliator - love this, makes skin so soft but never buy it for myself as 50euro but as I work in healthcare, I deserve it this year! 😂
I really want an egg chair but the one I want is $$$ so I won't be getting that.
Last year I wanted a good hairdryer and straighteners and a good rain jacket.
So really normal, regular things but a little bit more expensive than I'd usually buy. Treat yourself, I think a lot of Mums are like me or you, last in the list to get things and never end up getting it. Last year I decided to change that!

Books
A small box of Ladurée macarons
Leonidas chocolates
A small bottle of perfume that I wore in my late teens (I’d never wear it outside the house now Blush so I’d never justify the expense)
Books
Super soft bamboo socks
A bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of passion fruit syrup.
Books
leuchtturm bullet journal or the Tiger version
Silk lined gloves,
a cashmere scarf,
Books
lily o Brien’s salted caramels or crispy hearts
silk pillowcase,
Books
chunky knit blanket that sheds like crazy but is so lovely to snuggle under.
Speculoos biscuit sauce
Jules Destrooper Almond Thins
drawstring make up bag
Maybe a book?

MerryGoRoundBrain · 01/11/2020 23:28

I want all the boring stuff:
a fluffy dressing gown
slippers
pyjamas
books and/or gift cards for kindle

These things I’m likely to get.

I would also like:
a silk pillowcase
a designer handbag I fell in love with recently
Penhaligon Heartless Helen
earrings to go with my new-ish necklace

I would never put pricey stuff on my wish list though. DP knows about the handbag though, so who knows Grin

IndieTara · 01/11/2020 23:41

DD keeps asking me this and I have no idea. Last year she bought me an owl ornament and a Xmas teddy ornament!

AgnesNaismith · 02/11/2020 17:01

A cashmere travel wrap - I know, I’m going nowhere...but it’s nice as a grown up comfort blanket between shitty teams meetings.

Veja trainers...baa baaaaaaa

Looking at another thread just now, all I really need is Audrey's chocolates.

teenagetantrums · 02/11/2020 17:21

Warm fluffy dressing gown. Fluffy socks. New PJs...I see a theme developing here🤣

73kittycat73 · 02/11/2020 20:09

@Ninkanink

Cashmere scarf.

Good pair of boots.

A watch.

Half of a Barbour cape.

Half of a Russell & Bromley handbag.

I can't believe nobody has taken the bait...I've got to ask, why half of a cape and bag?!
Wheresmymind · 02/11/2020 20:11

@sugarplumfairy2010 An Oodie,.that’s the name! So want one 😂

Ninkanink · 02/11/2020 20:20

Heh! Wasn’t baiting...

I just meant that I’d have to put the £100 towards those items as they cost more than that. Xmas Smile

whynotwhen · 02/11/2020 20:24

I want a Pilates reformer machine Grin

LadyCatStark · 02/11/2020 20:28

All I want is a treadmill so I can carry on running for my mental health during winter. Today I had to wade through puddles every few feet in my lightweight trainers 😢.

Spacerader · 02/11/2020 21:37

I have a birthday coming up, and dp forces me to send a list for my birthday and Christmas, it scares him having to think for himself.

So my list includes
My favourite perfume
Trainers
Two necklaces I love
A new jewllery box
A facr spray
foundation
Charlotte tilbury lipstick
A new velvet Teddy mac lipstick as mine is running low
Benefit brow set
A big cuddly blanket
Bath bombs
A new coat.

I fully dont expect it all, he will pick some for my birthday and some for Christmas, then will save the rest for future gifts. Valentines etc.

I know lots of people like recieving gifts for the home, but I'd be less than impressed if I ever revieved a home gift like a frying pan, hover etc.

AvocadoBubbles · 02/11/2020 22:02

Silk pillowcase
Cashmere socks
Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, Hourglass and Benefit makeup
Vivienne Westwood earrings
Chilli water bottle
Cillian Murphy
New journal
YSL Libre perfume
Alpha H Liquid Gold
Midnight Sun book

Ellapaella · 02/11/2020 23:13

Le Crueset Teapot
Frankincense scented candle
Ylang Ylang Bath oil
Himalayan salt lamp
Some posh chocolates
A book to read all day on Boxing Day

Any of the above would be lovely 😊

PolkadotGiraffe · 02/11/2020 23:17

To be able to see my family.

@reluctantbrit do you have a link to the power bank hand warmer thing please
@reluctantbrit do you have a link to the power bank hand warmer thing please
I think we have one of those but there are p,entry around

www.amazon.co.uk/Rechargeable-Portable-Reusable-Handwarmer-Double-Sided/dp/B08LGLQWBX/ref=sr_1_35?dchild=1&crid=31ZE7T1YGIWH1&keywords=hand+warmer+power+bank&sprefix=Handwarmer+p%2Caps%2C168&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1604429865&sr=8-35

They hold less power than a normal power bank but still enough to charge a phone on a day out if you don’t use the warming function.

And for the hand warmer it is easier and less messy to charge then boiling the gel ones.
