Last Yr me and dh didn't buy for eachother as we had a lot of debt and had moved home

This Yr we've cleared the cards. Got the house to a decent standard, done all the kids Xmas shopping so we've agreed on 100 each for xmas

We did say we wernt helping with the ideas but he's honestly awful at gift buying and I'm really not materialistic and want things. He's begging for help for ideas.
But I honestly have no ideas.

I'm not one for having loads of clothes because I'm fussy. Tend to just buy in supermarkets ( plus the kids tend to get stains on me etc)
Footwear hard as I have a painful foot so live in trainers.

I don't wear make up or wear jewellery.
Rarely get hair done, because I simply don't have time as dh works 6 days and only has Sundays off when salon closed. I can occasionally get a sitter for a wash and cut but not 3 hours for a color so home dye.

I like candles, pjs and slippers. That's it. And I've just had a birthday and got all that.

What else is there?
I need inspiration

A garden swing seat with padded cushions and a covered fabric canopy.

Holdingtherope · 01/11/2020 20:57

I'm gifting myself jo malone advent calender

Littleelffriend · 01/11/2020 20:57

I’ve asked for ridiculous shoes. I’m a mum of 2 little ones (very little), I never go anywhere that warrants wearing these shoes. They’re sparkly heels and I love them. This year I want beautiful but pointless things

OrtamLeevz · 01/11/2020 20:58

Not all that much really. Neither does DH or the (adult) dc. We've all decided to do a minimalist Christmas this year, and are spending no more than about £20 on each other - we are allowed to be as inventive as we like.

oo0Tinkerbell0oo · 01/11/2020 21:04

We decided 2 years ago to limit spend on each other at Xmas.....would rather spend it on a few weekends away for some 'us' time.

AldiIsla · 01/11/2020 21:04

These are all such thoughtful, lovely present ideas. I'm very envious of you all. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

Fairymaryprincess · 01/11/2020 21:10

Both pinch of nom cook books, 2 x Rachel Sargeant books, a silk pillowcase, some earrings, I'd quite like local honey but my husband thought that was an odd gift so doubt I will get that but other than that I have no ideas at all and he keeps asking me for some other things I'd like so watching this thread carefully!

nancybotwinbloom · 01/11/2020 21:10

I quite fancy that new piers Morgan book

movingonup201 · 01/11/2020 21:12

I'm being very grabby this year haha, my wish list (I have a birthday coming up too)

Jo Malone perfume
Some Charlotte Tilbury items
Some jumpers from Joanie
Brooks trainers
Sweaty Betty running outfit
Abercrombie sweaters
Veja trainers
Fat Face vouchers and Lush bath bombs.

I feel like a 10 year old this year with my long list ha, we've moved house so everything I've bought in the last 6 months was for the house so have a longer list for me now!

coronafiona · 01/11/2020 21:12

I'd like a new lamp and a rug. I'm ever so young and exciting Grin

Wheresmymind · 01/11/2020 21:23

I’ve always wanted an expensive beauty type advent calendar
One of those whole hoody, body duvet cover top thingies to sit in on the sofa 😂
Perfume

New sofa

Soft, fluffy thick socks

I will treat myself to a few bits. New dinner set I love. Clarins handcream etc. I never buy anything for myself.

Polly111 · 01/11/2020 21:31

Fluffy socks
New phone case as mines broken

BeBraveAndBeKind · 01/11/2020 21:32

Some big plant pots for outside (really heavy ones so no one can nick them) and a tool box to keep in the house.

HotPatootiebootie · 01/11/2020 21:34

@CuteOrangeElephant

I have just bought myself a Harry potter Lego calendar for Christmas! I'm hoping to get great Hall for my December birthday and have it set up like a little festive scene.

lotusbell · 01/11/2020 21:42

A towelling dressing gown that is so thick it looks like it needs to mowed

Now I really want this too!

101Pizzaqueen · 01/11/2020 21:50

The last few years I've only really asked for things I grudge spending money on myself.

Good quality shampoo & conditioner (not supermarket)
Moisturisers and eye creams.
Gym clothes
Perfume
Nice candles
New Pj's and slippers (my favourite part of Xmas)

Can't wait 😊

sugarplumfairy2010 · 01/11/2020 21:51

@Wheresmymind I've bought myself an oodie for Christmas. Can't wait to snuggle up on the sofa with it. I would also like slippers, nice makeup, chocolate and some new trainers. Probably won't get any of that

Jedstre · 01/11/2020 21:55

I just really want a robotic vacuum cleaner.

ReginaaPhalange · 01/11/2020 22:13

I'd like:-

Estée Lauder double wear foundation (my brother usually gets this every year for me and it lasts the year lol)

Nice new jammies

Luxury bath stuff and skin care

A dachshund (no joke lol!)

Chocolates - I love the guylian ones

A Thomas kinkade Disney puzzle - 1000 pieces by Schmidt puzzles! Currently working on the hardest one now!!

I'd love some Botox but not wasting money now as defo not going out out or holidays lol, so no point for sitting around at home or going to work...

ktp100 · 01/11/2020 22:33

Boden PJs
New Kindle
Clay shooting gun
One of those ridiculously chunky knitted blankets
A Dolce Gusto machine (because they do hot chocolate - bye bye Nespresso!!)
Ugg earmuffs
Huge fluffy socks
Dubarry boot liners
Hotel Chocolat florentines
A tub of Marshmallow Fluff

reluctantbrit · 01/11/2020 22:42

I also have a December birthday and have asked (we always do wish lists):

addition to my nativity set
Turtle Dove gloves
New phone (if I can get a decent deal for the iphone 12)

We will ask the PIL for a new tea pot. We will forgo Christmas presents with my mum thanks to lockdown and her not being able to shop online and we don't want her to go out more than necessary. We may ask for a chocolate parcel if she is up to it.

One of the best things I got was a powerbank which is also a chargeable handwarmer and a very good travel mug. DD rides and I am always freezing in the stable from October onwards. Now I am toasty. We had to get DD the same one year as she was always stealing mine when she was out with the Scouts.

Zixxy · 01/11/2020 22:46

Grow up all of you lol.

All I want is for Covid to be gone and get back to normal. Won't happen this year but hopefully soon.

Enjoy your virtual gifts though!

AiryFairyMum · 01/11/2020 22:49

Not giving or receiving gifts wont have any bearing on covid going though. So why not enjoy the time we have?

Mayhemmumma · 01/11/2020 22:57

What about a lovely blanket, maybe a heated one?
A silk pillow case
Nice shower gel or exfoliater
A scarf or new coat
Boots
Perfume
Mug set
An air fryer!
