I slept well last night, for a change!

Not sure. My heart is going this morning like I have anxiety but I feel fine. Also I won £30 on the lottery

I couldn't get off to sleep again, that's about 4 nights now. All I can hear is DH breathing.🤬

Does dried pasta go off? I found a bag dated June 2020. Looks like we're on pasta bake for lunch all week 🤦🏻‍♀️🤫😂

Raises hand for the non-sleepers club. I read over 200 pages last night and still couldn’t sleep. Need more coffee. Dd is also dragging this morning, and DH is grumpy from lack of sleep and trying to get dd moving.

My cards arrived yesterday so I need to start writing those. And I made good progress on the last scarf for this year - its half done.

Need to get my head down for work. So need more coffee first... (did I say that already?) 🥱🥱☕️

Morning. I am still in bed, annoyed I am awake though. My next door neighbours yappy little dog was outside from 7am. I might try and squeeze in a Christmas film today. Polar Express maybe.

Boots, you could stay in your room and utilise your pillow for the DH problem? I'm sure we can cobble an alibi together!

Why, is that the 'have they done a bunk?' neighbours? Shame they didn't, if so!

fluffy, I quite like the back bedroom. It's smaller, so more cosy (and has squishy pillows and 3 duvets at the mo) and if I get to hot I can open the windows wide without the risk of someone climbing in they'd fall through the conservatory roof and without DH complaining of being cold.
I'd also get to starfish which is difficult with a hefty lump of snoring DH taking up 2/3 of the bed.

All of your problems could be solved with a pillow and a patio! 🤔😂

But the spare room will suffice, if you're still fond of your DH!

That's why I love our super king bed, boots. We both get to spread out, without disturbing the other! Doesn't help with the snoring, however

My parcels arrived from werchristmas. I'm really excited about the little trees I ordered for outside, but the Garland is a bit disappointing. I had visions of it being lovely and fluffy, but it looks a bit thin and threadbare. I'm going to get it out properly later, and see if it can be floofed.

I'm building my strength back up by taking little walks every day. Went for a wander last night, and one of the houses has their outside Christmas lights on. I'm sure others will follow soon! (Do I remember you saying yours are up, Fluffy?)

It's DS's parents evening tomorrow night. It'll be interesting to see what the teacher has made of him post-lockdown/home schooling. He was telling us yesterday how he had explained corona virus to the early years class. And the black death... Luckily, none of their mums have my phone number!!

That's a shame about the garland. They do free returns if it can't be fluffed. I got the little trees; they're very cute.

And yes. All of our lights are up now!

You should have a fun parents' evening!

If the garland is a bit thin, could you add some other bits Firefly - fairy lights, greenery "picks", couple of ornaments? I've done that and it can make a HUGE difference!

Fridge sounds like it's trying to die with (no) dignity Wreck, sorry I've no words of wisdom. (I just empathise with the tetris - but a full fridge is supposed to use less energy and keep colder better, I think).

puss if the bag of pasta isn't open I can't imagine there being a problem with it. I would decant it into a jar and use it like normal.

Also - sleep in the spare room. DH isn't too bad to share a bed with but I sleep so well when he's not here (we have a king size but he still ends up on my side 🙄).

I'm planning to finish my Christmas shopping (online) by the end of the week. Plan is for cards to be written and the next crochet present to be started on the weekend.

I am definitely on the no sleep express, sometimes I toss and turn all night and whatever I do I cannot sleep. I keep thinking about stuff, try to banish every thought from my mind but it is hard work. Last night, thankfully, I slept ok.

firefly I agree with Biddy, a cheepo pack of baubles tied in and some festive ribbon with a set of twinkly fairy lights should turn it into Hallmark film surplus bulk it out nicely...unless it's really bad.🤔

I have two WeR Christmas garlands on my watchlist , one is 9' extra thick more lights , one is 12' less fluffy fewer lights but half the price ,

So I'm debating buying two thinner ones and I can double them up or do the whole bannister and staircase ?
