Evening!

New thread here. Probably not needed until tomorrow, but it's ready and waiting.

Don't forget: Booths' Christmas ordering goes live tomorrow, so food porn will be online to view!

Boots, get your Cumberland PiB ordered!

Fabulous bedding Fluffy

Good luck with the job application most

70 I had a general so was out of it. Thank God. The consultant did come and see me afterwards to tell me he'd removed a polyp and "had a good scrape" 🤮 so I'll know for sure it isn't anything sinister in a couple of week when I see his for pathology results.

I've got fruit soaking for a couple of mini Christmas puddings for DH that I'll make imminently as DS is in his zoom karate and DH is supervising and DDs won't surface until nearly lunchtime.

My plan this week is to wrap as much as I can. I'm going to get DD2 to take a look at DD1's present pile as I think it's a bit dull. I don't think they've got any actual stuff that's the same apart from in their stockings but I'm not worried about those.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/11/2020 09:06

We're 11°, feels like 8-9°. We don't get subjected to fires round here, thankfully.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/11/2020 09:08

A good scrape?! Oh my! 🤮🤮 Do you feel tender?

I still have 2 mini puddings I made last year! I'm not sure how well they're faring. 😂

Morning.

I've just spent the last hour trying to buy something on the boots website with my points and I'm no further forward.

Love the bedding. I still haven't got any for my new bed.

I've also been glued to the news since Tuesday. I haven't watched so much cnn in years.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 07/11/2020 09:14

Love the bedding Fluffy. Ouch a good scrape sounds horrendous Woolly.

pussycatinboots · 07/11/2020 10:34

most 🤞🏻 good luck.
fluffy lovely nutcrackers. I assume you're switching between this and the blue M&S one? I've got wintery red berries on the spare bed and robins/scandi cabins with reindeer on our bed.
wreck 16?! it's about 7 out there now, DH went for a walk when it was 4 🥶...nicer in the sun though. There is one wanker arsehole that burns stuff in their garden, but I think we may be up-wind today.
Woolly that sounds, erm, sore. Take it easy today at least 💐
Does anyone know if Sains are enforcing the 1 shopper per household? If so we'll have to cheat and I'll send DH for the heavy stuff I can't lug sacks of cat litter, it'll knacker my neck for days and things he can recognise 🤦🏻‍♀️like bread and milk, then I can do the lighter and more complicated specific brand/flavour stuff

WreckTangled · 07/11/2020 10:55

It's saying 17° for later now Confused

I've just redone our budget. I hate paying council tax especially when we don't get anything for our money Hmm

'A good scrape' is making me cross my legs.

ConstantlyCooking · 07/11/2020 11:21

Love the bedding Fluffy. With my stealth approach, we now have two sets of Christmas/winter bedding although do fad DH has only seen one and DH chose to use it last week because he decided that brush cotton is nicer when it's cold Smile
Most the new job sounds interesting and three days a week is perfect. I did this after DD was born and felt I had a good balance and saved some money because I had more time and energy.
Nero - the election has been really bad for my sleep! I am in awe of some of the presenters on CNN who seem so groomed and together after so many hours on air.
My plans for today include feeding our Christmas cake, making mini cakes for MIL and DH's uncle, going for a run and doing the weekly shop including chocolate for stockings and gold coins.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/11/2020 11:46

I actually feel fabulous but thank you all for your solidarity. Puddings are having their first cook in the slow cooker and I've got mincemeat cooking in the oven too.

DD2 is doing the ironing in the kitchen and has insisted that the only way to do it is to have Christmas songs on. That's my girl!

NoWordForFluffy · 07/11/2020 13:00

Maybe a good scrape and GA sleep is exactly what you needed! 😁

boots I was in Sainsbury , there were people in groups/pairs so no enforcement going on.
It was quite quiet too which I was surprised at .

I bought a chocolate advent calendar for DD , she just wanted a Cadbury Dairy Milk one , not the filled chocolate .

DD has asked for a gold chain for Christmas but I'll need to get her to look at lengths, links and weight to give some ideas before I start searching .
Might be a Black Friday deal search here Xmas Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/11/2020 17:25

Ooh and I bought a copy of W&H , I wasn't going to but I thought
"what if I find a copy of this in March and read it and think Oh this is fabulous , I wish I'd read this in November "

I can wager it won't change my life but I'll take a chance .
Might be worthy of a Lock The Bathroom Hot Bath Read Xmas Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 17:44

Afternoon everyone. Lovely day here, really calm and sunny. Most get my Christmas bedding sorted out, we have a duvet with Christmas baubles on, might keep an eye out for another Christmassy one. [santa]

Crazy hope you find a lovely Christmas dress, all festive and sparkly. Grin Went in for both a colonoscopy and endoscopy didn't enjoy it for one minute. Sad When I had an endoscopy I was awake throughout, and heard them talking about their golfing pursuits!

Good luck with your interview Most

Oh no Woolly 'a good scrape' yuck, hope you're feeling ok, hope you're putting your feet up and resting. Smile

Good luck with the Boots website Neros

The election has also been very bad for my sleep Constantly but am so happy now and all the late nights have been worth it. Smile

Boots we used to split up and my DH used to buy and carry the heavy stuff. Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 17:46

Also some lovely Christmassy goodies in Lidl today, I may or may not have indulged. Grin Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 17:47

Just received an email from my DS's school and apparently he has been in contact with a child with Covid so he is at home until the 16th.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/11/2020 18:32

Eek MM. Hopefully nothing will come of it and if DD's school is anything to go by there are better provisions for home learning now.

My sister and BIL have tested positive this week too. Both doing ok so far. I haven't seen either of them since this time last year Sad so I bloody well hope I'm not getting a message from Track and Trace.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/11/2020 18:35

Goodness, Woolly, do they know where they caught it?

OP posts:
MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 19:15

Hopefully Woolly yes the online learning is much better now thank goodness. Sorry to hear about your sister and BIL.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/11/2020 19:23

My sister is a nursing lead in a care home

WreckTangled · 07/11/2020 19:34

Oh no Sad I still don't know anyone who's had it. Fingers crossed no one is badly affected.

I've broken out in loads of spots. No idea why Sad

Dh washed and cleaned my car today. Good job as it still had loads of sand in it from the summer. I didn't end up doing anything today, except having a bath Grin

CrazyBaubles · 07/11/2020 20:21

I'm so happy right now. I've been watching CNN and following the Trump threads here for days and am so pleased Biden has it. The man on CNN cried talking about it and it was like I could feel his relief, and a friend in NYC sent a video of people celebrating in the street when it was called.

Fingers crossed for the job most, it sounds perfect.

Love the new bedding Fluffy

I begrudge paying council tax too Wreck. We live on a 'private / unclaimed' road so they collect our bins but don't do anything else.

Oh woolly, best wishes to your sis and BIL.

I've been out for a walk and bumped into a friend of mine so that was nice. We had a socially distanced wander while her OH and my DH took the dogs elsewhere.
Have come home and had a bath (with a fizzy bath bomb / bubble bath thing) and just eaten homemade kebabs for tea.

Evening to be spent cross stitching and watching a film (I'm such a slow cross stitcher, I'm currently doing what I think is a Bush / hedge with snow and Christmas lights on it so I'm changing colours every 5 mins).

NoWordForFluffy · 07/11/2020 20:33

Me too, re Biden, Crazy. I got all teary in the bath when CNN called it. Then again when I watched Van Jones in tears.

OP posts:
MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 22:10

Hope your spots soon disappear Wreck maybe it's a stress thing. I have small and large pink spots which seem to be under my skin. Think it is something to do with having low platelets, doctor seems baffled. Sad

MarshmallowManiac · 07/11/2020 22:12

So pleased about Biden Crazy now at least America can begin to heal.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 08/11/2020 06:28

Thanks for all the luck everyone :) It would make such a difference, at the moment working five days a week I feel as though I am always behind on stuff.

Great news about Biden and Harris!

DS had me up at 4:30 today, by this afternoon I will be ao grumpy! Angry
