Evening!

New thread here. Probably not needed until tomorrow, but it's ready and waiting.

Don't forget: Booths' Christmas ordering goes live tomorrow, so food porn will be online to view!

Boots, get your Cumberland PiB ordered!

Happy Birthday Fluffy Grin

Yes we were planning to go to the SouthBank on Dec 1st if they'd lifted the restrictions but looks like it's off the agenda for this year

I was woken at 3am by someone in the street starting their engine and scraping away at the ice

3am Xmas Shock I was debating if I should go to the window for a glare but decided to stay under my warm brushed cotton winter bedding ...

Plan to go shopping ( food) tomorrow I can blag my way in with my NHS badge !

WreckTangled · 05/11/2020 18:08

I've got to go shopping tomorrow too 70 it'll be Aldi and Sainsbury's though I expect

WreckTangled · 05/11/2020 18:30

Oh I want to go to the range too.

pussycatinboots · 05/11/2020 18:32

Is the Range open? Not sure what you'd count as "essential" from there...

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2020 18:35

Ours is open. They sell food and cleaning stuff, don't they? Can't think what else is essential in there!

Turns out we have two four candles (fnar fnar)!

Looks tasty fluffy!

Yes the range has a teeny freezer with food in and some other non essential food stuffs. This is why the lockdown is a pathetic waste of time. B&M is also open apparently.

MarshmallowManiac · 05/11/2020 18:43

Evening everyone. Quite a nice day today but a little colder. Mad day at work all the kids seemed to be hyper today.

I'm with you Constantly looking forward to my After Eight Hot Choc. Grin

Happy Birthday Fluffy

Yep the Range is open Boots Smile

pussycatinboots · 05/11/2020 18:52

fluffy are you 44?
why is she really only 44? I thought she was catching me up quicker than that Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2020 19:10
Grin

You need to speak to Why about catching you up...#imthebabyofthefamily

We decided to do fireworks at home for the first time - DS has never really liked them so we usually go to the local display and leave straight away when he's had enough.

Obviously can't do that in the current circumstances, so DM got us some sparklers and fountain style ones.

DH read the instructions and set them up outside, sticking them in sand. What he didn't think about was that the sand has been open to the weather for the last week.

Turns out, if you stick fireworks in damp sand they won't go off! So, we turned all the lights off in the living room and watched professional displays on YouTube instead Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2020 21:37

Firework fail, Firefly!

Weirdly M&S on Oxford Street was open today. I was just going to the food hall but walked through the store and nothing was taped off and there were people browsing!

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/11/2020 23:09

Popping on quickly to wish Fluffy a happy birthday. Sorry it's a bit late in the day. Hope you had a good one.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2020 23:53

Thank you! The best part of the day was shifting my headache, in reality. It took codeine to do it though. I'm thinking it was probably a migraine where the visual disturbance part was while I was asleep, so I missed taking the preventative painkillers!

I've actually slept a fair bit of the evening. Rock'n'roll birthday indeed!

Boots Fluffy is 44. I will be 47 next month but thought I was going to be 48 which is a result of sorts I think.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/11/2020 06:44

49

Morning!

Sleeping fail last night. I took the edge off o the sofa so then took ages to nod off again. Oops. 🤦‍♀️

The US election results weren't helping me sleep!

Weirdly, I have to keep correcting my brain saying you'll be 48, Why. How odd!

It's Friday. Whoop!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 06/11/2020 06:51

Hope you're ok woolly

I was hoping there would be some more election news this morning but nope.

Still no apology from dh.

Constantly I wonder how they're getting away with that?!

I'm surprised ds' after school sports club is going to continue. The guidelines say only if it's for childcare reasons and it's really not but I'm pleased the school have managed to get round it, maybe it's because they're still in their class bubble to do it.

Food shop today then I hope it's not awful. I've suddenly got loads of spots too so glad I have to wear a mask Grin

WreckTangled · 06/11/2020 06:51

It's foggy and frosty again here
