I wouldn't go for a run either it's freezing. I need coffee but that means going downstairs. Will wait until he's in the bathroom.

It was really frosty here this morning as well. Winter wonderland it was so heavy.

It's chilly but sunny here too this morning. Am debating signing up for a pilates class on zoom starting tonight - it would mean 2 in the week but I need more movement and it's with a nice group of local ladies.

Wreck that does sound annoying about the "see no evil, hear no evil" on the money front from DH - "I don't see it being spent therefore it's not being spent"....

Fluffy and Woolly we are feeling the same about the elections - DH was awake at 4am to listen to it, and got up at 5 to watch it. I had decided months ago that there is no point trying to get a passport for DD if Trump gets back in - I don't want to go there while he is in power and I can still sponsor both DH and DD if we ever decide to go for longer than a holiday (although it is so unstable right now that I can't see that happening anytime soon).

We're also huge WW fans here Boots - I have all 7 seasons on DVD from years back (and recently got a connection to allow DVD player "talk" to the new tv again).

Marshmallow that documentary series was really interesting, and quite true to life in lots of ways (a family member is in the force, not in that district but spent time in another similar area, the censored tales he tells are eye opening, and we know there's so much he will never say). But not everywhere is as violent or non-respectful of law/everyone else as that area.

Groceries just delivered, and I am procrastinating about diving back into constitutional law issues....but I need to do it. Well, maybe I will make a fresh cup of coffee first as it IS very cold...

I'm definitely on your team - my DH sometimes does the whole looking forward & raising his eyebrows thing too. Now I point it out (I think I've said "you can raise those brows all you want, it doesn't make you any less of an arsehole wrong" a few times)!
Ignore him, use the cheque to pay your CC and just keep using his CC for Christmas shopping. I'd be tempted to get a Christmas magazine or 2 for myself too if I were you!

It was freezing here (literally) last night. DH had to de-ice my car so he could take it to work today. Sun has come out now though so hopefully lunchtime walk will be nice.

I'm also 😳 about the election. I just never thought so many people would want to keep Trump in the White House, he's so incompetent - but then look who we've got in power here so what do I know?

My dad delivered my ceramic Christmas tree to me this morning as he was paranoid it was going to get broken. I've set it up in the bedroom as a surprise for DH when he gets home 😂
Once he's moaned about it I'll put it away (or relocate it to my spare room / office) 🎄

I managed to not talk to him before he left crazy he did make me a coffee and leave it on the side so I'm guessing he knows he's been a dick.

Ah DH does that and it annoys me. I've learned that if I say my opinion very clearly then leave him alone, he doesn't have the chance to dig his heels in so he ends up thinking about it. Then, when he inevitably realised that he's wrong, he appears with a cuppa or brings home my favourite cake / chocolate etc. Very rarely actually says sorry out loud though 🙄

I stand by my advice - order yourself something on his CC while Christmas shopping, just because you can and he was being an arse

Morning Afternoon all.
I woke up at midnight with really bad tummy ache and spent a couple of hours watching TV between visits to the bathroom. Let's just say my digestive system was passing it's opinion on the US election results. 💩😱
I still hold out some hope that it's all a bad dream and we'll wake up in the shower with Bobby Biden will be inaugurated in January.🤞🏻

Crazy just keep the tree out, and prominent. It's November and my fairy lights are up...just debating when to set up the tree...and if I should replace it's balls🎄and maybe buy more lights...
The heating kicked in at about 4am as we didn't turn the thermostat down before we went to bed.
Wreck stuff for the kids should come out of the joint account, especially clothes and Christmas & Birthday gifts. Add a few things to the next online grocery shop - Sains have cards and wrapping paper in now - and a few naice things for you to even up your spends 😇

Evening everyone. Really frosty and foggy here this morning and so so cold. Sent a boy home this morning from school with high temp in our corridor this morning, and another one with her temp rising through the day. Went to the town again this evening to buy some Christmas cards, really, really packed. The traffic was mad too in and out of town.

Went to bed later after watching US elections, now feeling tired and no result in yet! Really enjoying the series Biddy yes you're right most places are not like that at all and not as disrespectful, was really interested as have Irish Mum and lived there for 5 years, and have many friends who live in Dublin but not in those areas.

Biddy, are you American? I knew you had a Thanksgiving dinner, but hadn't really clicked that you're from the States!

Fluffy I was born there, and moved here before I was 1. My parents are both Irish too. So I am not really American, but I like the idea of TG so make the effort to do it in a small way. We did look at moving over years ago (our research trip was booked for October 2001...and by the time we actually got there in late 2002, there was a completely different economy and vibe so we postponed, then life got in the way, and now...…). I do have a passport, but because I voted here first, I can never vote there now. (I also, very importantly, also have an Irish passport ).

Work was insane today - so after it, I sat on my bed with the Christmas tree light on and listened to 2 Christmas songs. It was so relaxing! Little pic so you can all enjoy it with me!
DH has already rolled his eyes a million times about the tree too

I have fantasies of moving to Alaska but would never actually do it.

We're just going to bed. We are on the last ever episode of The Americans with half an hour to go so going to watch it in bed then try and get some decent sleep.

I could've done with sleeping longer, but at least it wasn't as bad as yesterday!

Thr children had the Buble Christmas CD on repeat last night. They're too funny!

I had the best sleep I've had in a while. 7 hours 52 minutes.

Oh I need to phone the electricity company too as they emailed to reduce my direct debit by 20%. Bearing in mind we're all electric and have only recently turned the heating on it's not very sensible...
