Evening!

New thread here. Probably not needed until tomorrow, but it's ready and waiting.

Don't forget: Booths' Christmas ordering goes live tomorrow, so food porn will be online to view!

Boots, get your Cumberland PiB ordered!

Today has been much better as we actually had sun and a lovely walk and play in park. DS' clothes all in the wash now as they were caked in mud.

Saw the first Christmas tree in our development on the way home!

WreckTangled · 31/10/2020 16:21

Inside a house most?! I feel it's acceptable to have something outside earlier than it is inside for some reason Grin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 31/10/2020 16:31

Yes inside a house!

pussycatinboots · 31/10/2020 16:32

anyone know where I put the superglue?

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2020 16:35

It's been dry here since lunch time too.

We're back after our lunch. We had to drink expensive drinks there as we can't go to the pub here! But it was lovely and the staff were brilliant too. We left a nice tip!

Our hairdresser is coming round at 6 to beat the lockdown. We missed getting in before the last one so I ended up about 4 months between hair cuts. No way am I doing that again if I can help it!

I need to start wrapping, Why. Shame we aren't local as we could do it together! Or not! 😂

Most, yay for the tree. 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

We're just planning where our outside lights are going. My pathway edging trees have been dispatched. Whoop!

WreckTangled · 31/10/2020 16:42

Ds just had his hair cut this morning. Dh had his last week so shouldn't be too bad for them.

Pleased you enjoyed lunch fluffy. I don't even have any wrapping paper yet! And I haven't really done any shopping 😭

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2020 16:44

I got this in town! Extortionate, but I only just looked at the price! Xmas Grin

Wreck, I have all the paper and most of the shopping!

We were 4.3 weeks into a 5 week cutting schedule last time. Not again! 😂

I got one of these. I already have one. Does anyone want it for £3?

Can I have it please Fluffy.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2020 17:35

Yes! I'll pop it in the presents parcel if that's OK?

CrazyBaubles · 31/10/2020 17:47

Will your lemon tree be ok Fluffy?
Glad you had a good lunch.
Report back a review of the magazine please, it looks good!

Hope work is ok for you tonight why

Wow this is early most - but I don't blame anyone for wanting a bit of early Christmas cheer this year.

puss if your DH has had it and is anything like mine, it's either in a random draw in the dining room dresser or on a random shelf in his office 🙄

The sun came out as we walked DDog so that was nice. Did just over an hour then came home in time to watch the rubbish rugby.
My lovely ceramic tree arrived to my parents today. Best present I've had in a while, it's beautiful Xmas Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2020 17:58

It's been blown over so many times. No wonder it has no fucking lemons on it! It'll live in the greenhouse with the other one (the one with fruit on it!) once we get the shelving sorted.

Once I get a look at the magazine I will report. DS nabbed it!

Yeah. Random place here too if DH has been involved. Just abandoned somewhere unexpected.

I'm tired after lunchtime drinking! 😴

I have sent the money Fluffy and however it arrives it fine.

WreckTangled · 31/10/2020 19:46

Ds is going to be so sad that football will have to be off again 😭

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2020 19:48

Our swimming has been on / off / on / off too. It's a pain in the arse.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 31/10/2020 19:53

Our swimming still hasn't started again since March! I'm pleased I haven't paid the £60 due for this half term for football though. Ds is meant to be doing an after school activity from next week too, I assume that won't go ahead? It's with an outside sports coach...

TheWoollybacksWife · 31/10/2020 20:05

DS's karate class was finally going to be in person on Wednesday 🤦🏻‍♀️

why if she's there next week I can highly recommend the mobile pizza truck that has been parked at the garden centre the last few Saturdays.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 31/10/2020 20:19

Ooh Woolly I had not heard about that and I am off next weekend as well, thanks.

Morning!

I woke early again. Kill me now! It's so annoying.

It's quite windy by the sound of it. I suppose the door banging may have woken me.

I've said to DH that I might just get up and go to the allotment today. If I have a lazy start I struggle to motivate myself! We shall see what happens.

Wreck, we've managed 4 lessons since they went back to school. We changed teacher and had to wait for a gap though; they'd have had a few more if they'd started as soon as the pool reopened.

Morning.

I haven't actually been to sleep yet. I've had restless legs all night. Don't know what wrong.

Thank you all for wishing ds a happy birthday. He was spoilt rotten.

NoWordForFluffy · 01/11/2020 06:46

Bloody hell, Neros. I think I read that eating bananas is good for restless legs. They must be bad if you can't sleep. 😢

FireflyGirl · 01/11/2020 07:02

Morning! I'm back Grin

I've a fair bit to catch up on, and I'm juggling my phone between feeds, so I'm going to just jump in.

Wreck DS's swimming hadn't started back either.

He wasn't a confident swimmer before, and I think he'll struggle after what I reckon will end up being 12 months off. Can't be helped, but it's another thing I feel he's missing out on. We didn't let him start back at Rugby Tots either. DH was wavering about letting him go to school tomorrow, as that's our only exposure, but I've put my foot down. There haven't been any confirmed cases in the village, and he needs some normality!

I've developed a water infection (actually much more problematic and painful than the section wound, which hasn't bothered me at all!) so he's worrying about me catching CV on top of trying to recover from everything else.

He was really short with DS yesterday during our Halloween 'party', because DS was (understandably) hyper, which isn't like him at all Haloween Sad

I've started the morning with some Christmas songs - definitely feels needed!!

NoWordForFluffy · 01/11/2020 07:13

Firefly, DS isn't too confident, so I chose 1-2 lessons with the teacher for now (him and DD together) to help him. She's apparently really good with him, which is brilliant.

I bet there are negligible numbers of cases originating from swimming lessons, but there you go. 🤷‍♀️

I hope your water infection clears quickly. Just what you don't need when you have a newborn to cope with.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 01/11/2020 07:13

Oh no fire is the lack of sleep and stress of lockdown just getting to him? Can dh take ds swimming once things are open again? I know he's quite risk averse.. we always take pro biotic when on antibiotics seems to help the upset tummy, I did when breastfeeding too.

Neros how horrible! If it continues do see a doctor

Ds has football this morning then I think we're going to see PIL's.

WreckTangled · 01/11/2020 07:15

Oh yes I did the same as fluffy. Dd always had group lessons and when ds started he was (still is) so shy he would mainly sit on the edge. I got him 1-2-1 lessons for a while then in the end cancelled both group lessons and they both have private lessons together. They do it fortnightly instead of weekly and because it's just the two of them get way more swimming in than in groups and it costs the same amount as if they had weekly group lessons.
