Wandered on to this lovely thread by accident but have got excited reading your plans.

Lovely plan to go to Celtic Manor Most and usually there are lovely Christmas things including skating and massive tree with train and lovely festive scene around the track. In the pic there are 3 floors of hotel behind tree to give you some idea of scale. Enjoy.

Thanks for the pics Cankles. We have now booked and the lady confirmed that the tree and train will all be in place. We can also have a tree in our room.

We had a tree in the lodge when we went to Center Parcs for Christmas when DS was small. I wish I'd known about it beforehand as I would have taken some baubles and some lights to decorate it. Mind you they would have been one more thing to pack and potentially forget.

DH was reading an article in the paper yesterday about how Hornby trains have experienced a boom during the pandemic and decided that we should get a train set. He was less enthusiastic when I suggested that he could set it up to run around the Christmas tree.

Woolly DH would love a bloody train set 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'd prefer Scalextric or a Lego Bugatti Veyron 😉😁 He also wants an Airfix A380 in the Emirates livery which they don't do 🙏🏻 thankfully

I haven't gone for HRT and hopefully (crosses fingers) I've come out the other side of menopause now . I never considered a coil when I was younger though , they were less sophisticated back then.

DH and I are planning a trip to London SouthBank in December to wander along the Christmas Market there . And if it's cold I can wear my new coat from Next

Well, I've had a very unproductive day!

DH made soup and we both did pumpkin carving with the kids. I have also made cookies with them as well.

Then it took me ages to motivate myself to clean the bathroom. I'll do the kitchen tomorrow before we go out for lunch.

And that's the extent of stuff I've done! 😂

Boots DH has a Scalextrix and it comes out every now and then, but is transformed back to a child every time he plays it.

Went shopping with DH this afternoon , treated him to some hot chocolate and he carried the bags (but I drove us there/back round the good old M25 on a Friday evening )

woolly I think you need to tell your DH that it is the law that if you own a train set, it goes around the Christmas tree. Fluffy works in law, I'm sure she'll confirm...

Fluffy my house doesn't get particularly dusty it's always full of bloody cobwebs though but when we lived somewhere more built up / nearer roads I noticed it was awful.
I get all sort of allergies so I 'wet dust' rather than using polish and that seems to help too.

I've finished the crochet Christmas tree for MIL. She doesn't put up a tree and every year I jokingly threaten to turn up while she's out and decorate - this way she'll have a tree to put up so I'll get my way and it requires no effort from her so she gets what she wants too. I'm quite pleased with it (pic)
