Evening!

New thread here. Probably not needed until tomorrow, but it's ready and waiting.

Don't forget: Booths' Christmas ordering goes live tomorrow, so food porn will be online to view!

Boots, get your Cumberland PiB ordered!

Went to the park in the torrential rain. Just taken the Dcats for their vaccinations and now in the McDonald's drive thru! This afternoon will be PJs, TV and cross stitch at home :)

I have a couple of days off before nights again all weekend. Have been contemplating with Fluffy whether my next door neighbour has done a bunk, which is fascinating me and my daughter.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/10/2020 16:55

Wish our neighbour would do a bunk (we call him Loud John, or 'what is that loud twat up to now?').

Ooh is there a back story?

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 28/10/2020 17:15

Neros not much of a back story but there are (polite version) extremely messy, and have a couple of cats which hang round my house and the noisiest yappiest dog in the world. They said last week that the boyfriend had lost his job and she had her hours reduced then since Friday there has been no sign at all. Both cars have gone. (They could have gone on holiday but with both cars seems unlikely) I suspect they will reappear but I am enjoying the mystery 😂

BiddyPop · 28/10/2020 18:59

Boots I have 666 in DMC, and not the exact 400 anchor equivalent of 317 DMC but I have 401 anchor (which is grey) if that is any use?

It's been dry here all day but windy. Work manic (I got quite a lot done, there's just an awful lot to do), body aches, need shower, teen hormonal....I think I'm about to give up on trying to get work done tonight.

NerosFiddle · 28/10/2020 19:44

Why a midnight flit? Intriguing 🧐

Since lockdown I've become quite the curtain twitcher 😂. There's been nothing else to do but talk about the amount of cars that come and go every day across the street. We also wonder where they get the money for all their takeaways. At least one a night, sometimes two about 5 days a week.

Biddy we've been having storms up North and in the west.

MarshmallowManiac · 28/10/2020 20:37

Evening everyone. Haven't been on for a while as cannot always seem to access Mumsnet for some reason sure it's my computer it's on it's last legs Hope you are all well and storming along with your Christmas shopping. Have been buying a few sf and today my DD1 was shopping with me and asked for some stuff for Christmas clothes which I bought and put away. Feel good to have at least started the big pressies. [santa]

pussycatinboots · 28/10/2020 21:03

Biddy That's incredibly lucky! I managed to get the 317, but no 666 (I think because it's Christmas and red is popular) I'll PM you.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/10/2020 21:30

I was driving home tonight , the moon looked near to full..............
Full Moon this Saturday , Hallowe'en

NoWordForFluffy · 28/10/2020 21:40

Good timing with the moon!

I've clicked that we can't go to the pub on Sat. Unless we eat again! We'll just have to buy more booze in Prezzo. Or go home to drink! 😂

Not sure why I'm awake. It's annoying though.

Today is my Friday as I'm off tomorrow. I have one more day off I can book, but I really don't know when to take it. I'm off the 4 days before Christmas as well. 🤔🤔🤔

The weather forecast was all lies yesterday (well, they changed it to the reality after we'd trusted the dry forecast and done washing). Thankfully it was very breezy, so the washing did manage to mostly-dry outside. The forecast for the next few days is abysmal. It's been a shitty couple of weeks.

DS had me up at 4:50 too fluffy :(

Today and tomorrow are just torrential rain all day. My cross stitcj subscription box should arrive today though so that's good and tomorrow is payday.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2020 05:42

Cross stitch subscription? Enable me! 😂

pussycatinboots · 29/10/2020 06:13

most you've enabled me too...🤦🏻‍♀️
I really really really don't need any more projects to do. I found another yesterday (while fruitlessly searching for 666) a chart my mum stitched about 30yrs ago for her friend, it's of the Cross and the Rows in Chester. It has been added to the ridiculously enormous to-do list.
I slept much better last night, we swapped the 4.5 tog for a 10.5 tog duvet (DH still has 13.5 too) so I was quite snug and it made the difference.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2020 06:21

I'm still too hot with the 4.5 tog!

I've decided not to subscribe. I have too many projects already. And haven't stitched for almost a week!

OP posts:
Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/10/2020 06:28

Fair enough fluffy. I am trying it out and will see how I find it.

pussycatinboots · 29/10/2020 06:30

I've kept a note of it - you never know...I might grow more hands 🤭

I was waking up with no duvet most nights due to DH and his Grand Theft Duvet, so it made a nice change to be a bit too warm.

WreckTangled · 29/10/2020 06:47

We only have one duvet. Not sure what tog it is but it's a medium floofy feather one. I love it. We're going to hobbycraft today just to have a look around. It's next to a garden centre so will probably go there after.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2020 07:20

The designs were lovely, Most. But I have about 15 or so waiting to be done, I think! 😂

OP posts:
NerosFiddle · 29/10/2020 08:01

Morning.

I was up at around 4 too. We had a really torrential weather last night. I wouldn't be surprised if some places are flooded this morning.

My duvet is15.5 I think. I like to be snug. But I've panicked a few times waking up in the middle of the night thinking I've a temperature.

CrazyBaubles · 29/10/2020 08:14

Morning.

10.5 tog duvet here (swapped from the 4.5 one last week). It's a little bit too warm for me at the mo but DH was freezing and I can just stick a leg outside of the covers.

We went to the boating lake after dropping a prescription to FIL yesterday and a lot of the paths were flooded. Ddog had a lovely time though, and I don't mind walking in the rain (which is good because that's all that's been forecast for the next few days).

Report back about the subscription box most, I'd be interested to know if you like it.

BiddyPop · 29/10/2020 08:32

Morning all,
Rain here too, but DH went for a walk (there was a pile of letters to post guilting him into it 🤣).

Made some progress on lantern too, just need to finish the white and then do some single black outlining. And I’m wearing makeup (well concealer on a spot lead to doing eyes and lips as well) for the first time since February - I hadn’t even put it on going to the Dáil as we were all masked up.

BiddyPop · 29/10/2020 08:33

Sorry photos didn’t attach
