No holiday in October half term as we usually do has meant I've started shopping so much earlier. I will admit I spend a lot on my children. We have no family/friends so buy for nobody else.
Hopefully we can get ideas from each other.

@Cupcake272

I smell 💩

RickOShay · 02/12/2020 07:58

Oh Cupcake that’s not really very festive you know.

PinkJam · 02/12/2020 08:04

@Cupcake272 You are pulling our leg I think. Have seen another post of yours in a different thread bragging about how much you spend as well. Please go and troll on a different topic. That’s not what the Christmas forum is about.

Lovemusic33 · 02/12/2020 08:18

Is this the lady with a long list of Lego sets she has bought her dc? The Lego sets that are not even available yet or are discontinued?

CastleOfDoom · 02/12/2020 12:08

She also gives her DC five advent calendars each 🤣

WeAllHaveWings · 02/12/2020 12:38

@Cupcake272

We spend around 1-3k on each child, we love Christmas so coming down to a pile of presents the size of the tree is magic. I buy about £300-500 in stockings on top of that eg small things like aid pods and such, they want the latest I-phones this year, kids hey😭so that’s another £6000
I know, it is such an expensive time of year!!!

I have found you can make it much cheaper if you just get your favourite child the tech and tell the other ones wooden toys are educational.

*New tree lights on clear wire (online purchase)
I've spent ages on their placement on the tree only to realise they've turned from warm white to tobacco yellow, led burn out apparently according to doctor google. I'm not setting foot in real life shops today as I imagine it will be chaos up there today
*3 x copies of Private eye annuals for DH, DB and close friend. I've given up buying books with too many words in for the men in my family.

RickOShay · 02/12/2020 19:13

Firework fairy lights
A Fortnite bundle for ds11
A bottle of blossom hill for dd to have on Christmas Day
A Kick in the belly book for dd18

OohKittens · 02/12/2020 20:16

Wwe battle pack which was very difficult to get hold of

You’ve read the room wrong Candy.
I save all year for Christmas, this year is tricky for a lot of people because they want to treat their children even more than usual, but finances may be tighter.
Great that you have the money and buy lots, but I would suggest you keep that to yourself.

IDontMindMarmite · 03/12/2020 12:16

Why would you come on a thread purely to talk about how much you spend and why would you call things like air pods, small stocking fillers? You are just trolling.

OohKittens · 03/12/2020 12:20

I have reported this user so many times since yesterday. They are popping up on so many christmas threads saying the same shit.

Went real life shopping at Lidl and got christmas trees for the garden and little mini ones for the house. So cute.

Lovemusic33 · 03/12/2020 12:56

I want a mini Christmas tree 😁

I think Cupcake is a troll, this thread is to discus “what you have bought today” not to brag about how much you have spent on your dc this Christmas. We know from your other posts that you are lying as you have listed things that don’t even exist in the shops yet (Lego sets that have not yet been released). You sound like a horrible person who just wants to brag and lie to make others feel bad or to make yourself look good, though your posts just make you look like a twat and your kids sound like spoilt brats.

Anyway, today I bought 2 fairy houses thanks to the bargain thread, I think I will gift them to myself and I have been eyeing up fairy houses in a local shop for ages 🤣

OohKittens · 03/12/2020 13:00

Is cupcake the person who gave the shit lists of just lego that cost a fortune? I didn't realise.

I also want a mini Christmas tree now! Grin

Have bought a Frozen fleece blanket and some paw patrol figures for DN from Argos.

I think so
Lovemusic33 · 03/12/2020 16:00

I have just ordered my meat, veg and cheese from a local butcher so I don’t have to face the supermarket on the 24th, feeling very relieved. Think I have finished all my shopping now.

Mrsfussypants1 · 03/12/2020 16:03

2× boxes of master roth chocs (tipsy & patisserie) for dhs friend to go with the private eye annual & cosy socks we've bought
Aldi the giant box of Artisan chocolate £14.99
Its just hit the shops today and i managed to get the last one. Its beautifully presented but its huge! Its for my mum who swears by Aldi chocolate.
Manucca honey for dhs stocking
Sainsbury's 1×jar of peaches with courvisier
1x jar baby pears with ameretto
Forgot to get some cherries in kirsch and some pears for me! Also forgot to get the chilli jam in Aldi.

Mrsfussypants1 · 03/12/2020 16:07

Congratulations lovemusic on nearly beibg done. Im almost there just need to buy a couple of gift cards, selection box, cashmere socks, more gift wrap and some food goodies for me if i rememeber.

Mrsfussypants1 · 03/12/2020 16:10

I need to write a list and hang it around my neck! I also need to choose and order a print and frame by a local artist for my brother and a Fenwicks window print for MIL.

UndertheCedartree · 03/12/2020 18:26

Selection boxes for the DC's dad to give them alongside cash as he apparently 'couldn't find them' in Asda!

Batteries for all the fairy lights. A couple of spiced apple candles. A Harry Potter notebook I came across in WHSmith when I was posting cards and parcels.

Cheese, Mince pies, Baileys cream, Christmas tree vol au vent cases, stollen bites, Chocolate tree decorations in Aldi. Also a hooded cat bed - hoping my old cat will sleep in it as he slerps a lot and always picks the most annoying places to do so!
