No holiday in October half term as we usually do has meant I've started shopping so much earlier. I will admit I spend a lot on my children. We have no family/friends so buy for nobody else.
Hopefully we can get ideas from each other.

Today Ive bought Connect 4 shots for DS2 and Subbuteo for DS1 plus a personalised football calander for my Godson. I think i am almost done now except for stockings which I'll wait for the shops to open for!

Also I really, really want to buy a huge Eiffel tower lamp from the Range which is half price right now but DH says it is hideous...DS1 (14) has a city themed room (New York, London, Paris black and white pictures so I thought it would look lush but now I am torn...

Have bought 4 Cheese boxes for delivery to family from The Mouse House Cheese Company.

Also: Haynes Guide to Millenium Falcon and Harry Potter 3D jigsaw for DB.

And a book on the Battle of Britain for my Uncle.

Have just a couple of stocking fillers left and remaining Uncle to buy for and then I'm done 😁

A couple of glass insulated mugs from Whittard, as well as their Turkish Delight hot chocolate.

Some Danish foodstuffs for our Danish Christmas dinner.

I brought some things from the Disney store sale yesterday

• a pixar mug for my mum to give dh (also took the price up to free delivery limit)
• next size up Marie cat slippers for dd1 - not for Xmas just got them ready as she will love them
• Minnie mouse delux artset for dd1 (will be put away til her birthday in summer as she already has enough for Xmas)

-Minnie mouse fleece throw and olaf fleece, one each for dds. Will give them on new years day as they both already have more than enough for Xmas, but I saw them ages ago and loved them and couldn't resist at sale price

I really need to stop buying now

My mum made a crisp selection box for dd last year as dd said “I wish they made crisp selection boxes instead of chocolate” so her wish came true 🤣🤣. I’m sure your sons will love it.

I bought a skateboard for my oldest nephew and got the final digital file of a picture of me, Mr Chicken and the cats as if we were Simpson’s characters, which I’ve ordered to be printed onto a canvas. ☺️

Tinsel to decorate our bikes for a local event that hopefully still gets to happen.
The new Cat Kid book for ds2 but I will probably end up giving him that early as he’s very excited to read it and reminded me it was coming out today.

We are making a couple of bags for homeless people. I ordered the drawstring bags today and fleece blankets to go with them. We already have toiletry bags with toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, showergel, handcream and lip balm. Also gloves, a selection box and sweets. One has a novel in and will pick up a crossword book and pen for the other. Just need to get biscuits.

I also ordered a small light-up reindeer for the windsill and some stick on snowflakes for the windows as DD is dissapointed in our outside decorating!! We tour all the lovely decorated houses on the way back from school and she gets envious! Trouble is we have no front garden which limits things a bit! We do have a string of star fairy lights on the front windows but hopefully the little reindeer and snowflakes will bring us more up to scratch!

We spend around 1-3k on each child, we love Christmas so coming down to a pile of presents the size of the tree is magic. I buy about £300-500 in stockings on top of that eg small things like aid pods and such, they want the latest I-phones this year, kids hey😭so that’s another £6000

Where do you put that amount of stuff after Christmas? My house is already overflowing with stuff, if I spent £2000 on each child we would have nowhere to put things. Does that include clothing etc? Just sounds crazy. This year I have spent more than usual as dd needed a ipad but she only has 5 other gifts plus stocking (probably about £25 on her stocking), she hates piles of gifts as she sees it as a waste and uncalled for. Dd2 on the other hand loves opening things (she has ASD) but I still struggle to spend more than £150 unless I include clothes/new bedding but she wouldn’t enjoy opening those.
