No holiday in October half term as we usually do has meant I've started shopping so much earlier. I will admit I spend a lot on my children. We have no family/friends so buy for nobody else.
Hopefully we can get ideas from each other.

🤔 Has anyone come across any womens size slipper boots? Not from amazon (it's banned in our house) and no wool. I get some every year for DD & myself but can't find any this year.

OohKittens · 08/11/2020 12:45

They are lovely @pinkksugarmouse but quite expensive for what you get (as with most sole vegan companies). There's not much vegan food we aren't aware of or haven't tried. I get judged quite a bit with the children being vegan even though I'm a private person but you can get vegan anything these days. I'm loving vegan horlicks, just baking a malted milk cake right now.
Tkmaxx is always brilliant for decent slippers at supermarket prices.

‘Cheat’ gangsta granny card game
3x cake in a mug for stockings
panda eye mask (randomly on 8 years olds Santa list)
Kids kindle (my parents asked me to order this for one of my girls and have given me the money)

I fully understand having to deal with judgement having raised my daughter Vegan. Her father and were even subjected to a member of staff at a Subway rudely giving her opinion on our parenting. My own family were a nightmare, although they are a nightmare anyway. Her friends parents however were very supportive so it wasn't all bad.

Today I've spent £20 on two tins of beans and a bottle of ketchup which seems a teensy bit excessive but they're all personalised and I think they'll do well in various family members' stockings.

I'm also needing to get my arse in gear and organise advent calendars all around.

Lidl have some at the moment. I sent DH to get me a pair and am very pleased with them. Just little pull-on boots. I threw away the tag, but they don’t seem to be made of wool. £5.99.
Lisa78Lemon · 08/11/2020 14:25

Stocking for me, DH and DS. I've never had them before so am excited!
Anaphylaxis Campaign Xmas cards; they're lovely.
Few stocking fillers for 1yo DS: Dairy free selection box, kaleidoscope, Bath Toys

OohKittens · 08/11/2020 14:58

@Lisa78Lemon where did you get the cards? Two of mine have severe allergies the 13yr old has almost died twice because he has such bad brittle asthma he ends up on oxygen.

Lisa78Lemon · 08/11/2020 15:00

@Oohkittens I'm sorry to hear this; how terrifying. My 1yo DS is severely allergic to dairy/egg/legumes & others.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign sells the cards online on their website and I think they're on sale now. They're so Christmassy!

Wherearefoxssocks · 08/11/2020 15:01

Just been to Aldi to get floor cleaner. Bought a bath toy for DS and forgot the floor cleaner!

Xmasbaby11 · 08/11/2020 15:12

I'm ordering slipper boots for myself from Accessorize! Also getting some hair thihgs for the dds. It's 20% off until tomorrow.

TrickyD · 08/11/2020 15:34

Xmasbaby!, if it is not too late , look at the Lidl £5.99 slippers. They seem exactly the same as the Accessorize £22 Fluffy Boots with pompoms. (Not helpful if you don’t have a handy Lidl as they don’t deliver).

spagbog5 · 08/11/2020 15:39

3 white light up reindeer for the front garden as our village is doing a light up trail to follow and look at decorated houses in December.
Will look good hopefully with our existing white lights and lit trees .
We're going festive but classy hopefully Grin
