No holiday in October half term as we usually do has meant I've started shopping so much earlier. I will admit I spend a lot on my children. We have no family/friends so buy for nobody else.

I have actually bought the first Christmas present.

Two teddy bears (a snowman and a reindeer) for the neighbours dogs. They like sleeping with them, by destroy them after a few months by being a bit rough (they are Terriers and very cute. One loves popping round to see us, esp if he smells coming. His hobby is building tunnels out of his garden)

Chocolate vegetables for stickings

WonderMoon · 01/11/2020 13:57

3 more baulbles for the tree

For DD -
A mini kitchen
Wooden jigsaw from Kidly
A wooden piano from Kidly
H&M pyjamas x2
Some glitter and other craft things that were on sale in Paperchase.

DH -
Some Lush goodies (snow fairy, he loves it!)
A jumper from Carhartt
Stocking filler bits like shavers, face cream etc

Also bought a couple of candles, a Christmas plate, a bowl shaped like a star and some new roasting trays - all from good ol' B&Ms.

pinkksugarmouse · 01/11/2020 14:02

I bought the following on the hive for DH:

Books
Ian Rankin A song for the dark times
Christopher Brookmyre Fallen Angel

CD
Dion Blues with friends

That's it for DH. I now have 4 presents for him 3 of which he knows exactly what they are but he is very difficult to buy for.

Just DD now. I have her 18th birthday presents and have ordered 1 Christmas present (but will inevitably give to her for her Birthday).

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 01/11/2020 14:12

24m of wrapping paper. Didn't realise it was quite that much (2 bright coloured rolls)

MsMiaWallace · 01/11/2020 14:43

Hotel Chocolat goods for DH:

X2 bottles of chocolate liquors (different flavours)
Tin of biscuits of the Gods.

He's going to be very happy.

CloudyVanilla · 01/11/2020 15:33

Today I bought an electric toothbrush each for my older 2 DC, they said they were a third off but were half price in Boots so that was nice :)

Also got the chocolate oranges while I was doing the normal food shop. I did get a large play dough tub with 20 pots in it but that will be for DS's birthday which is a few weeks before.

I don't have much to get now, over the last 4 days I have bought:

My little Pony set x 2
Minecraft mini figure set
Tin tea set
Nintendo figures
Pokemon ball and figures
Lego mini figures
Nice stocking bits from rex London- fairytale dice, projector torches, spinning top sets and a music box
Marvel duplo
LOL Doll
LOL Pet
Orchard Game each

Plus have a few more bits. Just need to get 3 soft toys from John Lewis, and the consumables so bath bombs and edible treats.

SpamIAm · 01/11/2020 15:48

Just ordered Christmas pyjamas for the kids, matching Christmas dresses for me and DD, Christmas blouse for me and t-shirt for DH from matalan. Because we definitely all needed more novelty clothes.

Also bought two pillar candles which finished off our table decorations I think.

I am SO excited about this. My Dad who never asks for much asked for a really specific item he'd seen in a magazine a couple of years back. It was no longer manufactured but I contacted dozens of companies who might have one in stock. Noone did. I checked ebay today and there it was. So my lovely Dad will get his bonkers item on Christmas day all being well. I am completely overexcited about this!!!!!
