Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Friedbanana

Sorry no bargains- but I wondered if anybody else has received a note from Royal Mail to say they can’t deliver item as there is a fee to pay- £1.50! The only thing I think I’ve ordered and haven’t received is Uno Flip, so wondered if anyone else received this notice!
We had this recently, and it was a actually an NHS appointment notification and accompanying bumpf!
Luxplus · 30/09/2020 12:57

@IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece Copenhagen is a wonderful city, lived there while doing my education in a bank. I now liv on Fyn in a small coastal village close to the great belt bridge.
@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts
Hmm a book about nisser Smile I'm not sure but my kids have an English book about Christmas around the world where Scandinavian Christmas are mentioned, I'll just try to search around. If I find some I'll let you know.

Luxplus · 30/09/2020 13:05

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts I found this book, which I actually had as a kid, translated into English

I have it! I enjoy it but I think it's a bit too old fashioned for my Minecraft/Lol-addled children! 😂

PowerslidePanda · 30/09/2020 13:16

Thank you for the suspend game, @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts!

LittleMissA · 30/09/2020 13:21

Does anyone know what the 10% discount code is for cardholders at Debenhams? I don't seem to get sent anything from them anymore but their site says there is one valid until 04.10.20.

WoahBodyforrrm · 30/09/2020 13:22

@Elskerdeg I'm a lazy bargain hunter and didn't bother to check them directly. Rule number one of Bargain Hunt club... 🤦🏼‍♀️

Well spotted!

Shufflebumnessie · 30/09/2020 13:23

Apologies if this has already been asked/mentioned but does anyone know if the actual Playmobil website has any offers (e.g. 20% products) in the run up to Christmas? Thanks

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 30/09/2020 13:32

@Olliphant

Has anyone bought an oodie, a sort of oversized blanket hoodie? Or have you bought a similar item? I know my kids would love them but not sure if they are worth the money?
Check the last thread - TONS of Oodie and fake oodie chat/recommendations
Olliphant · 30/09/2020 13:33

Ivegotalovelybunchofcoconuts ooh thanks so much!!!!

Furlougheddrinker · 30/09/2020 13:38

Just a reminder that the code OODIE30 will get you £30 off an OODIE making it £49 instead of £79.

Just incase anyone missed it in the last thread ☺

whoknows1230 · 30/09/2020 13:41

With the Beer 52 offer, I see that it says you have to phone up to cancel the subscription.

DH doesn't like craft beers, I just want to buy it for a one-off present for a friend's DH so wouldn't want any more.

Am I being very cheeky to get the offer then cancel, as surely it'll cost them more than £5.99 to post it out so they won't be making money on it?

I noticed that it said "we are a small company" on the website, so that's adding to my guilt, but it really would be a good present for my friend's DH Grin

unkindnessofravens · 30/09/2020 13:43

Did some real life shopping today and got this Orchard Toys set from Tesco for £15, which I thought was a good deal.

They also had the Playmobil Fire Engine for £20 which I'm sure was popular in threads past.

BunnyBerries · 30/09/2020 13:44

@Shufflebumnessie

Yes they do! - last year at the end of November they had 35% many ranges. Plus different 'bundle' deals that were great value (2 or 3 items bundled to make a set, such as fire station themed, airport themed, camping, school and classrooms etc). Eg. they had waterpark sets 6669, 6670 and 6673 bundled for £25.99.
The children's zoo was £12.99.

jocktamsonsbairn · 30/09/2020 13:52

Not a massive bargain but some nice gifts on the Eden Mill Gin summer sale page. I emailed scout their virtual gin tasting experiences but unfortunately they are only doing them till Xmas then in real life! They do have one reduced to £36pp for Oct 16th though if anyone was interested. My friends did them in lockdown and said they were amazing!

jocktamsonsbairn · 30/09/2020 13:55

Thank you to whoever posted about the Yesiwantit site - I managed to get some fab Christmas presents fir tricky teens! DS fit me a 20%student code which looks generic YIWIBEANS - worth trying!

BadgerFace · 30/09/2020 13:55

Robert’s just checking in to say he likes the chat (thanks @Reastie). Especially when it’s about him.

(And yes, seven years in, I am still slightly disappointed by the size of his horn).

Spicentice have 20% off between now and Wednesday with free delivery - would make good stocking fillers or great to make up a curry hamper FREESHIP

LutherRalph1 · 30/09/2020 14:01

Thomas the tank cave collapse is half price in smyths, which is a tenner less than amazon

Elskerdeg · 30/09/2020 14:16

@whoknows1230
You can cancel it by email too, even though it doesn't say you can.
I get what you mean about the guilt but they seem to be doing alright as they have done this offer for years and years. They obviously get your email from it and occasionally send out offers, many of which I have taken up for people's birthdays etcSmile.

Shufflebumnessie · 30/09/2020 14:17

@BunnyBerries thank you very much. That's quite a saving! Fingers crossed they do similar this year as there's a few Playmobil items on my list Smile

Chocolateteabag · 30/09/2020 14:17

GemmaJ 10% off with

Lovely jewellery - charms and necklaces etc. Nature, animals etc

Amazonmulu · 30/09/2020 14:19

Not sure if it's been mentioned this year but a great tip on Playmobil is via the website, and under "Treasure Box". I think it's end of line items but mostly huge amounts off. Last year I bought about 5 sets - they were all very cheap, pristine, and amazing.
