Crazy Your DH was right You threw everything at it 😂
Great that it worked ☺️

NerosFiddle · 07/10/2020 09:14

Fluffy I'm throughly ashamed of myself. I've every other spice known to man. Well, I have cinnamon sticks but that's it.

Boots how are you feeling now?

Woolly I forgot about lebkuchen 🤤

Is the M&S book out yet? F&M still haven't sent out my book yet.

Mrsmadevans · 07/10/2020 09:14

Fluffy Tesco had The Snowman toilet roll in but it was my local store so am not sure how f national. Am kicking myself now l should have bought some 🙄

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2020 09:20

I've boycotted Tesco, so can't go there! If it's about, Wilko must have it.

Crazy, we are getting Persian Spiced Chicken with Pomegranate Bulgar Wheat. I've no real idea what it will be like, but I'm willing to give it a go.

The M&S book is out, Neros. I saw it on Sat.

Feeling ok now, just a very sore nose. We went shopping early I and dashed around just in case I needed to sneeze - I didn't fancy doing that inside a mask. Blush

I thought they were Grape Hyacinth. There's one or two bigger ones which must be Daffodil poking through too. I've had stern words and told them to go back down, but do they listen? 🤷🏻‍♀️😁

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2020 09:27

Mine came up in autumn last year too. But didn't flower until they were meant to!

At least you're feeling better. 😁

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 07/10/2020 09:31

F national 😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 07/10/2020 09:32

Fluffy can l ask why have you boycotted Tesco ?

Mrsmadevans · 07/10/2020 09:33

Glad you are feeling betterBoot

Mrsmadevans · 07/10/2020 09:35

Meant to say thank you for your kind offer re the Booths book but there are no stores anywhere near me so no point because n stirring me up to wanting things l cannot have 😂

pussycatinboots · 07/10/2020 09:36

All the Halloween stuff is in Sains, as well as some of the Christmas gifts.
There's a microwaveable heated Crab 🦀 or Octopus 🐙 I looked for a squid, but they don't have one I quite fancy treating myself to the Hedgehog 🦔

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2020 09:45

Ooh. I'm going to a big Sainsbury's on Sat to have my flu jab. I'll look for those, Boots. An octopus does as a squid-replacement if necessary. Except we don't have a microwave, so maybe not! 🤦‍♀️😂

Tesco have given money to Mermaids (Asda too, so they're also on the shit list) which is a very dodgy charity. Though they've recently done a volte-face, seemingly, but time will tell. But Tesco donated while they were dodgy, so they're a no-go for me.

Unfortunately not, but I don't mind as she doesn't ever ask for much and she has requested one for this year.

I'll read the thread properly later, I'm off to walk the dog.

BiddyPop · 07/10/2020 10:35

M&S book was out last weekend in Dublin. I haven't seen it yet as DD grabbed one and secreted it in the passenger footwell of the car so DH wouldn't roll his eyes too much. She's learning!!

I was in our local larger DIY store on Monday too, and that had Halloween out - and they were putting out Christmas but that section was blocked off to customers while they set it up.

Another busy day here, it was too quiet with DH in the actual office yesterday so I ended up being thoroughly unproductive - to distract myself in the afternoon, I spent a half hour cutting out felt food to sew together (maybe tonight - last night we almost forgot the meeting for DD's year with the principal and year head...oops, remembered just in time but that was the end of doing anything productive for the evening).

No geese yet here, but the silver birch tree outside my window has a lot of very bright golden leaves. I can see the green through the branches again - which I could see when I started working from this room before the leaves fully emerged. It is such a weird year and gone on for so much longer than I ever thought it would....

But I had better get back and do some work

pussycatinboots · 07/10/2020 11:43

fluffy if you do want one (or anything else from there that yours doesn't have) let me know.
Biddy the tree outside my window (generic housing estate - not a cherry, or anything remotely attractive) is nearly bald. Well done to your DD for hiding Christmas from your grinchy DHXmas Grin
Seen loads of geese for weeks now, they fly over as there's nothing for them here sadly. I love them "honking" at each other while they rearrange their "V".

pussycatinboots · 07/10/2020 11:45

fluffy how about this? no microwave required!

CrazyBaubles · 07/10/2020 12:56

I didn't know about Tesco and Mermaids Fluffy! I don't shop in Asda for that reason. Am 😡 that the amount of shops I'm happy to give my money to is getting smaller and smaller.

Also, how do you survive without a microwave? Shock I'm using mine daily at the mo to reheat soup for lunch and milk for hot choc and weetabix.

I avoided shopping with my cold partly for that reason puss. Glad you're on the mend though.

My house backs on to a load of trees biddy. No idea what trees they are but it's also the way my spare room / office faces so I'm watching the leaves turn while I work.

My meetings for the day are done so I've just a lot of docs and spreadsheets to review for the next few hours but I am absolutely not working after 4pm (earlier if I can pull it off) and I am going to have bake off on in the background, followed by Delia while I do it.

I have big plans after work - clean the bathroom, meal plan for next week, order some birthday presents for niece and MIL, order multi-vits and crochet poppies for my mum and her friends.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2020 13:27

Bloody hell. I forgot Bake Off again. 😂😂

Crazy, we only heated milk in it for my breakfast, so do it in the hob instead. We got rid almost 2 years ago when we got the KitchenAid.

That crab is very cute, Boots. DS has a crab, but a small one, which he chose at SeaLife a couple of years ago. And DD loves squid, as we know! 😂 🦑😂

Oh, it's annoying re shops' stupid charity donations, isn't it? I didn't realise about Asda until the Tesco story broke. But both are avoided now.

CauliflowerCheese30 · 07/10/2020 14:40

I have been shopping in Asda recently, but we have a new Aldi opening next week and it looks massive, so I'll be going back to them.

BiddyPop · 07/10/2020 14:59

I think I will need to go into the office for an "in person" meeting tomorrow....which means I need to have a proper shower and dry my hair properly (I've been hiding the frizzy mop under a bandana for the past week), and find a pair of trousers to squeeze into....

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2020 15:12

Is that going to be up near Tesco, Cauli?

I get a delivery from Sainsbury's and either pop there or walk to Aldi to top up. We're lucky to have Aldi within a 5 minute walk and a Sainsbury's Local about a 15 minute walk away in the village.

OP posts:
CauliflowerCheese30 · 07/10/2020 15:40

That's the one fluffy, hopefully I'll get everything.

MarshmallowManiac · 07/10/2020 17:02

Afternoon everyone.
Haven't read all the thread but hope you're all well.
Hardly ever use a microwave Crazy, maybe occasionally to make scrambled egg but usually do it in the pan.

Really fancy some Christmas loo roll this year Mrs must look around. Smile

WreckTangled · 07/10/2020 17:32

We use our microwave for ds' ready brek in the mornings and the dc like to heat up brioche/filled crepes etc.

I've had a day wfh has been quite relaxed. Another busy one tomorrow though.
