Thanks @moonbabyandthebeast for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@zeerecords I was wondering exactly the same thing as I have a few bits in my basket!

steph2412 · 17/09/2020 16:39

I'm also looking to purchase the M and S gin online and a musical biscuit tin does anyone know if it's available online?

Isadora2007 · 17/09/2020 16:45

@LifeInAHamsterWheel my 11 year old is 139cm and wears the sienna hoodie thing from amazon and loves it. It’s massive but she says it’s better that way.

zeerecords · 17/09/2020 16:45

Just checked my M&S offers and have a free Apothecary candle!

TheSeedsOfADream · 17/09/2020 16:49

Lisa Angel usually do something around end October iirc.
Skechers 25% with SUNSET on their website. Not sure if it's off everything.
I have bought extremely non bargainous Warner Bros and Christmas at Kew tickets today in blind optimism they'll both go ahead!

JinglesWish · 17/09/2020 16:49

@steph2412 no, the gin isn’t online at the moment. I think customer service has been saying it may be online in future. Last year, it was only for sale in store

SayNoToCarrots · 17/09/2020 17:12

@Vebrithien b&m have red velvet sacks, embroidered with a large cursive initial, for £6/7. They are really nice. I would have got them but they only had one of my children's initials.

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2020 17:40

M and S hate me. I spent £500+ on a bed recently and all I got is shopping bag!

Bluewavescrashing · 17/09/2020 17:48

AFGN305 was meant to get £5 off a £30 spend at Paperchase. It only got me £2.50 off but better than nothing. Postage over £30 is free. I got loads of half price birthday cards to stash for the next few months. And a nice photo frame.

JustanotherTuesday · 17/09/2020 17:54

The Range had a display of Beanies coffee if anyone is interested and a good selection of flavours for £2.49 a jar.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 17/09/2020 18:02

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts, my 9-year-old has a subscription for The Phoenix which she absolutely adores. It's a weekly comic with a good mix of funny and exciting strips by different artists and male and female characters. It comes in a really bright funky envelope with their name on and arrives just in time for the weekend.

DD has been getting her copy for the past few years and it's the first thing she looks for when she gets home from school on a Friday afternoon. She's been known to lie on the door mat and start reading it when she's extra caught up in a storyline. They had some good interactive stuff online during lockdown too.

The bargain part...For £1 you get your first 4 issues!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 17/09/2020 18:13

A less bargainous but excellent value for its content magazine subscription we also love for movie-loving tweens/teens is Film Stories Junior. It comes out quarterly so the £15 subscription gets you one year of issues delivered.

The reviews and articles are primarily written by children and young people and they encourage readers to pitch their own story ideas too so it's a nice interactive gift for aspiring reviewers or children with a passion for writing.

Back issues are available on the site too. It's a fairly new mag so you could make a really lovely gift bundle with one or two of the issues that have already come out together with details of their new subscription. Or all four so your recipient has every single issue.

PhantomErik · 17/09/2020 18:13

Geometrics sticker book down to £2 on amazon!

Thread 6 - the one where there is a very sweet STIbaby
UselessInDisguise · 17/09/2020 18:29

Thanks @PhantomErik I got two!

CactusForever · 17/09/2020 18:33

Does anyone know how to cancel these magazine subscriptions without being charged the full price instalment (after the introductory offer)? Do you literally cancel the direct debit with your bank? Can you do that straightaway or do you have to wait until you receive the reduced price issues? Thanks for any insights :)

BighouseLittlemouse · 17/09/2020 18:38

So following @CoffeeAndEnnuirefomendayion I think I will get my reluctant reader DS8 the Phoenix

Does anyone have any magazine recommendations for his younger brother - he turns 6 just before Christmas. He’s a more enthusiastic reader!

FireflyGirl · 17/09/2020 18:45

For anyone making up hampers, Hobby craft have their medium wicker baskets half price at £6.50.

IDontDrinkTea · 17/09/2020 18:47

Still no success on the puppet front 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is starting to turn me insane

WisestIsShe · 17/09/2020 18:57

@PhantomErik thanks!

livingthegoodlife · 17/09/2020 18:57

Talking about magazines - my daughter is a big fan of the Sylvanian magazine. It's £10 a year, you get one fancy figurine sent by post, and 4 quarterly magazines including stories, colouring, fun facts etc. It's very cute and a bargain! You also get an impressive pop up birthday card on the child's birthday. (Also email newsletters but these aren't as fab).

dollypartonscoat · 17/09/2020 18:57

And me @IDontDrinkTea

What's worse is the first time I ignored it as I didn't really understand Blush

vroc81 · 17/09/2020 19:00

We had slightly smaller Percys for £15.. must resist buying Percy.. must resist buying Percy.. has anyone seen if the Percy money boxes Have appeared in m and s yet.? Ours had the soft toy, sweets and biscuits but not the money box but our store is tiny..

SayNoToCarrots · 17/09/2020 19:07

I'd avoid the hobby craft wicker baskets. I got the large ones when they were reduced, and they weren't even worth what I paid. Poorly finished, with the handles not even centred and bits of wicker sticking out. One of them even looked dirty.

Lellyo · 17/09/2020 19:16

@phantomErik thank you just ordered

Lolly34h · 17/09/2020 19:27

@PhantomErik thank you helps
