Hello all! I love lurking on here and just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts bargains for us all.
Today I bought presents for work colleagues from Rex London
Worth checking out are the sale pages on superdry, hollister and jack wills plus other branded sites. Really great for older teens and young men!

MarshmallowManiac · 25/07/2020 16:45

Thanks Choc my son loves Superdry Smile

Hi, first time poster on these threads, loving all the tips thank you!
Had to get DN a Barbie Reveal doll today, £20 in both Smyths and Argos, but I found a box full by chance in Home Bargains for £16.99, small saving, but a saving none the less.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 25/07/2020 20:13

For the poster asking about the smyths £10 off £50 - it was around the end of October last year. They didn’t do it at all in Dec so it pays to be organised (as all you lovelies on this thread know Wink)

73kittycat73 · 25/07/2020 21:24

@ClaraLane

I bought some lovely things in the sale from Wild + Wolf yesterday - well worth a look if you’ve got babies/quirky people to buy for.
Thank you for the tip off, just order a few items from there too. Smile
Ewock · 25/07/2020 21:27

Hi all so many fantastic bargains on here. I've lurked in previous years but wanted to ask you lovely people your advice. I have a 7 year old boy he loves lego but has so much I'd like to find other things for him. Any ideas would be amazing. Thanks

MarshmallowManiac · 25/07/2020 21:34

What about K'NEX *Ewock"

superstar84 · 25/07/2020 21:39

Magformers are great too

Queenfreak · 25/07/2020 22:15

@superstar84
Great suggestion re magformers.
I've just had a look at the official website and they have a sale on a few sets which work out yo be good value!

BunnyBerries · 25/07/2020 22:50

Magformers are fantastic. All ages of kids (and me!) are mesmerised by them. At the start of the summer I stocked up on lots of the sets they had in their sale. One of them was out of stock before they could update their site and they called and offered me a slightly more expensive set for the same price. Fabulous customer service. And strong safe quality compared to the ubiquitous cheap duplicates.

Ewock · 26/07/2020 00:21

Knex is a great idea thanks. And magformers we have a small set but a bigger set would be a good idea. Funny how you forget about these things. Thanks so much everyone

MarshmallowManiac · 26/07/2020 00:32

ClaraLane · 26/07/2020 06:53

@Ewock Not sure if Geomag are still around but my brother loved his at about that age. Knex is fab too.

ClaraLane · 26/07/2020 07:58

Another few websites I can suggest:
Anne at First Glass Creations does gorgeous work - I’ve got my dad a fused glass bullfinch for his birthday next month and can’t wait for him to see it. She sells on Etsy but also via her Facebook page www.facebook.com/FirstGlassCreations/

  • Holder & Hook are a Norfolk-based business that make beautiful wooden gifts. I’ve given two family members their wooden signposts with the mileage on for a sentimental destination and will be buying BIL and SIL one of the plaques with multiple place names on for Christmas: www.holderandhook.co.uk/

Slightly more bargaineous - Emma Bridgewater has a decent-looking sale on their older items which could be worth a peek: www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/collections/discontinued?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=Paid+Social&utm_campaign=RD+%7C+Promotional+%7C+Awareness+%7C+Prospecting&utm_content=RD+%7C+Promotional+%7C+Prospecting+%7C+Lapsed+%26+High+Potential+LAL&utm_term=RD+%7C+Promo+%7C+Sale+-+Discontinued+Video+–+70%25
