Went to the £ shop first time in ages and they have some nice stocking fillers; books, london taxi and a 'pick a poo' fishing game that cost £3. I'm sure 5 year old DS will find it hilarious!

No deals as such but iv just 'found' ESTY
Some really love stuff on there.

Just bought a personalised biscuit / snack tin and a personalised keyring.

Hopefully they are good quality, pictures and reviews are very good 🤞

Turtle Doves have a great offer on until July 30th. buy a cashmere “loop” scarf type thing and get a free pair of cashmeres fingerless gloves. the gloves are normally £26-£29. Colours of the loops are gorgeous!
I have treated myself to one for winter, the second one will go to mum for Christmas, and the gloves to both adult dds as Christmas gifts.
I am underway!!!

CRAFT20 code works at The Works. I got a load of stocking fillers for DS

MarshmallowManiac · 24/07/2020 20:47

Thanks Filthy Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 24/07/2020 21:19

I'm trying to make an order Filthy when do they ask you for the code?

FilthyforFirth · 24/07/2020 21:56

I was asked for the code at the payment page @marshmallowmaniac. Has it worked? It was a few days ago I used it!

Fuckingfuckssake · 24/07/2020 21:57

Looking for a little help please, I need some basic Lego bricks (or generic) we have lots of sets to make specific things but seem to be lacking in just ordinary bricks, if that makes sense!

sorryiasked · 24/07/2020 22:15

Seems to be several "Ryan's world" toys down to £5 at argos

MarshmallowManiac · 24/07/2020 22:21

No it didn't work Filthy were you able to save much?

sorryiasked · 24/07/2020 22:27

@Fuckingfuckssake you need one of the lego "classic" sets.
Or if it doesn't need to be new, keep an eye on Ebay for Lego bundles near to you - often bargains to be had if sellers aren't prepared to post.

WaterWishWash · 24/07/2020 23:10

@Fuckingfuckssake if not needed soon asda and I think maybe Tesco usually do one of the big Classic boxes (900 bricks) for £18ish which is a good deal. Think it’s normally Oct/Nov time maybe when the toys sales. Kick off - they’ve def done last two years. Lots of mixes of colours and great options. Keep eye on amazon as they’ll sometime reduce a a classic set. You can get special
ones with more windows or
Wheels say.

I’d personally avoid generic bricks as I feel the don’t stick as well. However the generic baseboards from home bargains are great and just as good as the expensive Lego ones.

Bluebell9 · 24/07/2020 23:25

I've lurked for a while but just wanted to say thank you for the Rex London recommendation and for the Works too. I've got some lovely sticking fillers.
@MarshmallowManiac I just used the code that Filthy posted and it got me 20% off.
The Works also gives 10% back via topcashback

MarshmallowManiac · 24/07/2020 23:44

Glad you got some bargains Bluebell, thanks for the info Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 24/07/2020 23:56

Does anyone know any discount codes for amazon?

MulberryPeony · 25/07/2020 06:55

@MarshmallowManiac they do sometimes do offers on vouchers but sometimes I get offered one and DH doesn’t or vice versa.

PinkDaydreams · 25/07/2020 07:22

I saw the LEGO base boards in home bargains the other day for £1.80.

@PinkDaydreams Branded Lego boards?

PinkDaydreams · 25/07/2020 08:41

No sorry not branded, just generic ones. I think they had them in different colours too.

I would second looking on ebay. I collected a whole crate for £10 near me as seller wasn't prepared to post. They came in a proper lego lidded crate, and were in great condition including wheels etc. I stuck them in the bath with some antibac 😂

SodOffCovid · 25/07/2020 09:19
