Fluffy has nailed it, she is really just not a nice person, the social worker got to see exactly what she's like yesterday, and I'm glad.

I won 2.40 on the lottery last night, no giving up work just yet booooo.

NoWordForFluffy · 01/04/2020 12:52

Firefly, snap re peas! I grow shit loads! We froze a small bag for Christmas but that's it!

I have tomatoes on my bedroom windowsills. We're being taken over! 😂

That's shit, PJ, you were meant to be winning enough for all of our WhatsApp group!

PJMasksGhekko · 01/04/2020 13:50

I know fluffy, I am trying Grin

CrazyBaubles · 01/04/2020 13:55

why do you manage the nights ok? A million years ago when I was early 20s I worked nights as a home carer. I really struggled getting enough sleep in the day and was a grumpy mare Blush

Fluffy / PJ she sounds like a piece of work!

I have an agreement with a few friends that if any of us wins the lottery we will buy each other houses etc. No luck so far though.

I haven't started the cross stitch. I haven't started the bloody crochet bird yet either 🙄 however my house is clean and I've sorted through a lot of low fat / slimming world recipes I've pulled out of magazines - they're all in a folder, nice and neat now so that's something I suppose

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/04/2020 21:16

I was at work today (Key worker) First I had to scrape ice off my car ....
Ice !

Then my poor hands have been washed and anti-bac gelled to blazes . They feel like sandpaper . Despite constant handcream.

On Friday I might make a Stealth Visit to Sainsbury , I need to get the DC Easter Eggs (and yes they are Essential or they will disown me Xmas Shock

I need to plan the Easter Weekend food , I'm not wanting to be trying to shop then (might try and nab a Delivery Slot)

Our last order had 2 Quorn Roasts instead of fillets , so that;s good for Easter Sunday .
I need to be inventive here ....it's time to try all the cook ahead tips .

Mrsmadevans · 01/04/2020 21:41

< Saunters in like Clamity Jane> Grin
Guess who got a Tesco delivery slot ? For Sunday mark you Grin
To be fair it has to go around us here and the neighbours over the road and My Mum and Bob Grin am so relieved to get it though , just hope it all comes Smile
Have cooking plans tomorrrow , beef casserole & dumplings, lasagne, Banana cake , Coconut cake and a Victoria sandwich, so help me God Grin

70 well done on going in to work m'dear , it can't be easy Flowers

Fluffy love fresh peas they are delicious. It's supposed to be lovely weather this weekend up to 17C in some places. Something to look forward to at least Smile
Have found a Delia Smith banana cake recipe and l am going to try it out. I love Delia Smile Have about 8 ripe rotten bananas so l can make 2 , one for us, one for Mum & Bob Grin

PJMasksGhekko · 01/04/2020 22:10

Are you showing off Mrs Grin

Well the last one, well, as Fluffy said in our group chat, she needs to work on her bedside manner (the social worker), some of the things she said to my brother were shocking to say the least. Db's ex was bragging about how well they'd got on, pretty much best mates, how they were going back to her, nothing about what was for the best for the girls at all.

I've had an argument this evening with DD2, over animal crossing Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/04/2020 22:26

Ah , but Mrs are you Calamity Jane in her Darn tootin brown suit and hat ?
Or the Female thinkin' dress?
Or the cream suede fringed outfit when she's riding that adorable skewbald pony?

I like the bit at the end where she leaps onto the big chestnut and tears off after The Stage . Horse is thinking "Eh? When was this decided ?"

Well Done , I'm going to get DH to Search A Delivery tomorrow Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 01/04/2020 22:39

70 I've actually eaten an Easter egg over the last few days Blush. DH bought it and I've enjoyed every bite.

Dsis and I used to love singing & re-enacting the Windy City song, A woman's Touch and Whipcrack Away. Beautiful voice and fun songs.

Well done on the delivery slot MrsMad and good luck with cooking tomorrow.

If I'm able to move tomorrow I'll be surprised. I've done a HIIT workout, a walk and yoga. Might not be much for some people but I'm not a fit person. My legs are sore!

I've been trying to write my own crochet pattern for the bird today - I can't find a free one that's quite right and I'm too tight to buy one.

Hope everyone else is ok Xmas Smile

Mrsmadevans · 01/04/2020 22:47

70 definitely 'Calamity Jane in her Darn tootin brown suit and hat'
I love that film Grin
It was tough going l tell ya Grin

PJ am swankng like Idris Elba in his camel coat DROOL Grin
Any SW worth their salt is totally professional and non commital. IME anyway Smile

Mrsmadevans · 01/04/2020 22:51

Crazy you have been a very good girl with all the exercise Smile
Love Calamity Jane , it's one of my favourites.
You are very clever to make your own crochet pattern well done Flowers

TheWoollybacksWife · 01/04/2020 23:35

What are you looking for in a bird Crazy? I take it you've seen the Attic24 bower bird pattern?

CrazyBaubles · 02/04/2020 01:13

I can’t sleep 😩

Woolly I’ve added a pic of the kind of thing I’m looking for. My main issue is that I don’t know how to make the body get bigger on the front (like where the red on a robin is) but stay flat along the back (sorry if that’s a rubbish explanation).

I’m getting lost in a Pinterest black hole - it started with crochet patterns, then houses and I’m now somehow looking at retro decor which is leading me to vintage Pyrex which I’m strangely finding comforting (pic attached). Going to try and sleep now 😴

I've just spent an hour on LoveCrafts trying to find one for you Crazy - no luck, sorry unless you want a puffin or a cockatoo

Forgot my manners Blush

Morning Grin

WreckTangled · 02/04/2020 06:53

Well done crazy! I've been aching after the joe wicks pe class and that for children!

Mrs I can't get a slot anywhere Sad they're all booked up. I even went into Tesco at midnight and still can't get any.

I think we should have a group session of watching calamity Jane Grin

I've got to go into the office today, my old one thankfully. Wonder if I can get a blood test whilst I'm there really need one. Bit scared of going out tbh.

WreckTangled · 02/04/2020 07:27

It's cloudy today. Feels weird not taking up to the sun, it's the first day in ages.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/04/2020 07:46

Wreck, that was yesterday for us; it's moved down! It's sunny - and windy as ever - here today.

I went to bed after 11 at some point so didn't get up until gone 7. First job was washing on the line and now I'm eating breakfast before I shower. Amazingly, the kids are still asleep!

I did 3 hours of cross stitch last night and if I keep it up, I may well get it done by Easter, Boots!

There's only delivery slots at midnight here, but we're in a town. I imagine being rural doesn't help at times like this, Wreck.

Crazy, did you get back to sleep in the end?

I'm not a fan of Calamity Jane, or films of that ilk, it has to be said!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 02/04/2020 07:48

There's just nothing on ASDA or Tesco. Have even looked at the three 'nearest' Tesco for click and collect but again nothing. It's very annoying but DH will go and do the shopping so I don't have to, he's petrified of me catching it and said he wants to lock me in a cabin at the end of the garden until it's all over 🙃

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 02/04/2020 08:35

Came down this morning to 4 new tomato plants. Only sowed them at the weekend!!!

NoWordForFluffy · 02/04/2020 08:56

This is the view from my desk!

My cucumbers and tomatoes came up the fastest of all my seeds, Most.

I need to look at my planner to see what I need to sow this month. We did 48 more peas yesterday and I might do another 24 broad beans.

Crazy I've been giving much thought to your "fattening out a budgie" problem Grin
Look closely at the pic, I suspect they've done any increase in sts, to give him a bit more shape, under the wings, and then he's been stuffed very very carefully before sewing the wings on to hide the shape change iyswim?
*complete guess as i can't crochet for toffee, but as a fairly incompetent knitter that's how I'd do it Grin
and don't forget you'll need some cream/pale pink pipe cleaners for his feet Wink

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/04/2020 09:27

Morning all.

Crazy I don't know if you've come across thiss* site on your searches. It looks as if the ones marked as "Premium" aren't free. I tried searching using "Amigurami Budgie" and "Amigurami Bird" if that's any help. There were a couple of nice kingfisher patterns that came up - I'll see if I can find them. It's annoying when you search by image and then realise it's not a pattern but someone's Pinterest board.

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/04/2020 09:30

It would help if I spelt amigurumi correctly though. 🤦🏻‍♀️

TheWoollybacksWife · 02/04/2020 09:42

This might be adaptable Crazy

Have you tried Ravelry? I've just done a search. Put in Amigurumi birds and then filtered for free and crochet (I have no idea why there were 100+ knitting patterns when as far as I know Amigurumi is a crochet thing 🤷🏻‍♀️) and it brought up 8 pages of patterns. There are a lot of Angry Birds patterns 🤣

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 02/04/2020 10:41

Morning folks. Headed to Morrisons first thing for an NHS slot now just lazing about as I am off today.

Crazy. I quite like night shifts but I can be a grumpy cow after 3 or 4 on the trot. I am best avoided really unless you are bringing me gifts and to be honest that does not happen enough in my opinion 😂
