Thanks to the PP for the free Barbie at smyths tip, that's my niece sortedSmile

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/07/2020 12:09

Bluewaves is there a particular game he plays? There might be a FunkoPop of one of the characters

Fairly inexpensive hits with my DS last year were wireless over ear headphones and skins for his controllers. I also got him a Chillys water bottle from Boots that I used Advantage card points for - SHO bottles are similar and they have had discounts lately including 50% off for key workers with NHS, supermarket workers and teachers all qualifying (amongst others).

My small/medium sized Asda had some good toy reductions, making way for new season toys, so might be worth a check. Twisty pets down to £2.48 great stocking filler. The isle was a wee bit crowded so I got out of there and didn't get to see rest of bargains. May be worth checking your local asda out.

Oh no! Sad I ordered 4 items and got a dispatch notice for just one of them this morning, so that doesn't bode well...

Just a reminder that charity shops are also good for presents. I’ve picked up a couple of brand new children’s books today for just 50p each!

Bluewavescrashing · 14/07/2020 18:14

Thanks for the ideas @TheWoollybacksWife Smile

Myhouse2011 · 14/07/2020 19:26

@Bluewavescrashing

For the 10 yo nephew, THIS tshirt goes down well with that age group.

Reastie · 14/07/2020 20:56

I miss charity shops @PinkDaydreams . I often get a fair few stocking presents there but we are avoiding rl shops because of coronavirus (I know most people seem to be back to real life whilst we hide away still).

PinkDaydreams · 14/07/2020 21:09

To be honest I’ve done hardly any rl shopping apart from the supermarket. Normally I’ve bought all sorts of presents from the shops by now but my stash is tiny. It felt good today to get a couple of bargains whilst also supporting the charity shop too.

EvilHerbivore · 14/07/2020 23:09

Might be a nice teachers gift/stocking filler - code ABP72CO9 gets it reduced from £3 to £1.50 at checkout

The £10 off £50 etc ends today on Bargain Max, by the way.

@Annie1290, did you get the Super Station the other day when it was linked? I can't imagine it being lower than £62 anywhere.

Ehunt1 · 15/07/2020 07:49

I love following everyone’s bargain finds, I’ve just bought the Schliech horse set from Argos, I used a £5 voucher I had from an app called Jisp. You basically complete a very short checklist and you get a £5 voucher. You can choose what shop you want it for. I’ll had my referral code which I think gets you a bonus.

share.jisp.com/download

My referral code is E7V7L3

Hope the extra £5 helps make something an even bigger bargain!

NoWordForFluffy · 15/07/2020 08:09

@Ehunt1, I can't find the checklist to complete, where is it?! #dim

Mrsfussypants1 · 15/07/2020 08:10

If anyone knows a child who loves horses there are some good Spirit items in Argos gift clearance section. Spirit horse shaped bag £3, pencil case with pencils £2, 3d spirit pencil case £2, juice cup £2, horse money box £2. My local argos has opened today so I managed to get a few horse bits to go with the schleich horse set and putting away for granddaughters 5th birthday (next year!) I just need to add a horse experience day to complete the set. Never been this organized in my life so thank you for all the tips.

Ehunt1 · 15/07/2020 08:50

@NoWordForFluffy I’ve just checked and they have totally changed the app and you don’t get the checklist anymore.🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s only the daily competition they do now. Well that is a reminder for me to check the facts before posting. #iamthedimone

NoWordForFluffy · 15/07/2020 09:12

Oops! They still refer to the bloody thing though! I might raise it with them.

Ehunt1 · 15/07/2020 09:28

To be fair though, the daily competition is quite good. I’ve won a few times and everyday day you win 1/2/3/4pence. It’s not much but quickly adds up.

Eeeek! No I meant to check when the money off expired as I get paid on Friday! But may have to steal hubby's card and pop it on there instead.
NoWordForFluffy · 15/07/2020 12:54

You can pay with Klarna and PayPal and they're generally slower I think. Especially PayPal as they take time to deduct from your bank.

sideorderofchips · 15/07/2020 13:04

I've always found PayPal to be instant payment. Maybe they don't trust me 🤣

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 15/07/2020 13:24

Do you use your card with it? It takes about 5 days when I use my bank account (as in they have to set a DD up to get it, not the card attached to the account).

margaritasbythesea · 15/07/2020 14:33

Sometimes I get to choose to pay after delivery (two weeks later) with paypal
