Looking for inspiration

Ham, egg, chips, tenderstem broccoli and leeks. Eggs were a last minute replacement for a parsley sauce that got abandoned because the parsley turned out to be bogging. My rosemary didn't make it to Christmas, this year either but thankfully I bought some of that for my roasties, tomorrow.

We had a chippy the kitchen is all prepped for tomorrow so don't want to go in and make a mess!

Chinese and a very nice malbec

DP is cooking duck in orange sauce, I'm doing the pommes ana and creamed spinach. Our Christmas eve tradition for several years now.

Takeaway pizza and pink fizz, just for me.

Christmas ham, roast potatoes and steamed veg. Ferraro Rocher.

We've just had pizza hut with the dcs.

Dp has been at home with Dc's for the holidays so far having broken up early. I finished work finally at 5pm tonight. I have had a bath, large wine is poured. Bliss x

Happy Christmas everyone!

Just ordered crispy duck with pancakes from the Chinese and DH having sweet and sour chicken. Everything is tidy and prepped so don't want to mess it all up now

A Chinese, not cooking tonight I’ve too much other things to do lol. My kid was easy fed too as me and her dad had lasagna last night and kept her some for today. Tomorrow I’ll cook and I’ll probably be lazy again for Boxing Day lol

Veggie burgers and chips but, as it's Christmas, having Stilton in the burger rather than cheddar.

We’ve decided it will be a new tradition

After eating utter shit for last 2 days I had a chicken salad for dinner although will open fizz and crisps when smalls go to bed.

Kids had party type food for dinner husband ate far too much crap for late lunch so didnt bother he does it every xmas eve :)

Anybody else sick of food already?!

there is an Arab shop near me that does cooked chicken, so I bought a whole cooked chicken, and I’m having some crisps, crackers… I wanted to buy cheese earlier, but didn’t.

Devils on horseback (dates wrapped in bacon & grilled), chicory & Camembert, home cooked ham and pickles, baby plum tomatoes, wholemeal bread and farm butter, chunks of pork pie, Prosecco.

Followed by warm mince pies, hazel & coffee macaroons, home made lemon drizzle cake.

. I’m happy

Cheese on toast lol

We have had a cheese and meat board with pickles and chutney. Served with crusty baguettes, crackers and crisps and all washed down with a bottle of rose wine. We are just settling down to watch a xmas film now nd i might partake of a cheeky Baileys! Bliss.

Buffett food. Normally a Chinese takeaway but we had that on Sunday instead

We’ve had beec bourguignon with mashed potatoes. And strawberry roulade. Stuffed already.

A sort of kedgeree, except I couldn't find the smoked cod under the piles of other stuff in the freezer, so it'll be with prawns instead. Maybe a bit of smoked salmon in there too, as we have rather a lot of it!

We had a McDonalds, we do this every xmas eve when everything is done. Kids are snacking on chocolate now, me and dh have mince pies, Christmas cake and after eights

Salmon fillets with wild rice and some stir fried veggies. Fancied something quite light and un-rich tonight.
