Looking for inspiration

Prawn cocktail
Turkey and all the trimmings
Chocolate and hazelnut roulade

I'll no doubt be having the first 2 again tomorrow but that was the only choice on the menu of the pub we're going to tonight that I actually fancy

Make Leek and Potato soup, not long had that with crusty bread.
Later we will de-vein some king prawns and wrap in tin foil with some garlic butter and bake , with more crusty bread to mop up the juices.

Chicken, chilli and chorizo risotto. It's my dh's favourite.

Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread

smoked salmon ,prawns , salad and homemade chips

Spaghetti bolognese.

Party food buffet

Vegi lasagne and garlic bread.

Cheese, pate, ham in cola, houmous, salads, that kind of stuff.

Carp. My in-laws are Polish, I've never tried it before

Aubergene bake and salad.

Husbands working so once the kids are in bed I've got a lovely mixed salad with quorn sausages, potato salad, hummous , marinated artichokes and stuffed peppers and a lemon cheesecake for pudding. And wine. Lots of wine.

We've cooked a chicken and laid on a buffet of cheeses, naice bread, ham, crisps and chocolate ect. I'm already full

Club sandwiches

My 13yr DS has turned Vegan so we are having a mushroom wellington. For the cost of the ingredients I could have gone on a cruise 😜

Nando's eat in

Indian aswell. Tis tradition!!

Gammon, jacket spuds and peas. And probably Mr Kipling After 8 fondant fancies for afters.

Fish Pie - brother’s in the kitchen cooking it!! (Fresh fish as he and my dad went down to the port this morning.)

Beef bourguignon, mustard mash, mixed green veg and red wine. Yum

Homemade spicy parsnip soup sprinkled with crispy chorizo crumbs, melted cheese-topped slices of crusty bread, red wine. Some snacks will come out later: pate( mushroom, salmon, regular)crisps, crudités, dips.

We are enjoying a buffet-style tea - even if all the kids are eating are cocktail sausages and MY salami crisps!

Takeaway pizza

Cajun chicken and rice, with dhal and naan breads. It's one of those season and shake bag recipes and is lovely and completely different to a roast and party food were going to be having the next couple of days.
