Beige food and cheese.
Lots of champagne

NaughtyLittleElf · 24/12/2019 13:33

Our traditional Christmas Eve buffet there's only two of us so it'll be more of a fridge grazing experience than a fully laid out buffet. I'm roasting a ham later so that'll be the main event.

Not sure whether to breakout the M&S sticky toffee trifle tonight or warm up some frangipani mince pies with custard 😋

MillyMollyMooMum · 24/12/2019 13:42

We're actually having our Christmas dinner! We often have it the evening before so everyone can relax on Christmas day.

Sweetpeach3 · 24/12/2019 13:44

MrsWhites · 24/12/2019 13:57

PhoneLock · 24/12/2019 14:06

Laksa

A bit fiery. I'll ease off on the paste next time.

mamaduckbone · 24/12/2019 14:11

Chinese takeaway - can't wait 😊

SisterSistine · 24/12/2019 14:28

Ham, egg & chips. Decided to do the christmas ham today rather than boxing day as think we'll have enough leftovers then and it's just 4 of us.

ravensoaponarope · 24/12/2019 14:34

home-made sweet potato and carrot soup.

DarlingNikita · 24/12/2019 14:36

Newcatmum · 24/12/2019 14:52

Fifthtimelucky · 24/12/2019 14:58

Leftovers from a couple of days ago. Salmon for most of us and nut roast for the vegan.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 24/12/2019 14:59

Nachos with BBQ pulled pork.

BabyMoonPie · 24/12/2019 14:59

Fajitas. We always have fajitas on Christmas Eve

KingaRoo · 24/12/2019 15:02

Nachos with chilli beef and chorizo, sour cream, guacamole, cheese etc. With a lovely bottle of red.

ivykaty44 · 24/12/2019 15:03

Home cooked ham with oven chips & a Jamie Oliver cauliflower cheese recipe with lots of garlic & broc in the sauce 😋

Hams already cooked, cauliflower cheese I made two yesterday, one for tomorrow & ready to go in oven for an hour then the chips... so no cooking 🤣

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 24/12/2019 15:04

We are having salmon with roasted peppers and baked potatoes. Biscoff. cheesecake for pudding.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 24/12/2019 15:05

Chippy tea. A family tradition of 6 years now, we go to the christingle service then send dh to the chippy.

Gorbie · 24/12/2019 15:06

Spagetti bolognaise and garlic bread here, full on roast beef dinner tomorrow so fairly basic tea which kids will definitely eat

DrCoconut · 24/12/2019 15:06

Party food! DC's can't wait

Cliffdonville · 24/12/2019 15:08

All the beige food, a tonne of cheese and a shit load of chocolate and ice cream Xmas Smile

Indecisivelurcher · 24/12/2019 15:17

I'm wondering whether to try a new Jamie Oliver veg stir fry which sounds vaguely child friendly as it's got tinned peaches and vermicelli noodles in a kind of sweet and sour sauce. Or a fried rice dish with tinned pineapple, chickpeas, carrot, peas, lots of soy ginger and garlic. Dd(5) wants jacket potatoes or spaghetti though!

Tinnedpeachesandcream · 24/12/2019 15:24

We’re having beef bourginnon (unsure of spelling!), dauphinoise potatoes and green beans. 😋 might make rice pudding for pudding/supper as we have about a million pints of milk in the fridge!

homemadecommunistrussia · 24/12/2019 15:29

No idea, there's a fridge full of food, but nothing for tea...

stuckinthemiddlewithtwats · 24/12/2019 15:35

I'm cooking an Xmas dinner with chicken instead of turkey. My DP is working long shifts Xmas day and Boxing Day so is expecting a big meal tonight and to be able to take a leftover Xmas dinner with him tomorrow to reheat for lunch.

At least it means I don't have to cook tomorrow as I'll go to my mum's instead. We had Chinese takeaway last night which is probably what we'd have done tonight if he didn't have to work tomorrow.
