Sorry, not caught up at all with last thread because of a germy family. I’m figuring this will be the thread with Christmas on though!

No links etc because I’m figuring you know it all now and we’re so nearly there!

Happy Christmas everyone 🎄☃️❄️🎅🏻

I have ordered in more gift from amazon off her list, I think I have a spare selection box I can wrap and a adult colouring book. Hopefully that will be enough. I really don’t want to hit the shops today.

DaisyChops · 22/12/2019 11:57

Wrap up a tangerine 🍊 😂

Zillaindie · 22/12/2019 12:02

Can i recommend Direct2florist.co.uk for anyone looking at sending flowers this week?

Use their website to search for a local florist and pick from a selection of arrangements. The local florist then provides delivery.

I used them last year and again this year and they havent disappointed. I have surprise xmas eve and new years deliveries arranged grandparents and great grandparents.

There is a service charge however the web team have been brilliant in organising changes and dealing with a particularly challenging delivery to be made. Has removed a lot of stress!

Lovemusic33 · 22/12/2019 12:03

Daisy I should be wrapping a lump of coal, she’s not the easiest of children 🤣

noodledoodler · 22/12/2019 12:09

@Lovemusic33 would you have the makings of home made playdoh? You could make a couple of different 'flavors' and put it into a tin or container, lots of recipes on pinterest you could try.

Jammiebammie · 22/12/2019 12:21

@Lovemusic33 I have similar issues here, youngest has asd amongst other things and they have to have the same number of presents which can be hard, especially as youngest still very much into toys and the older 2 are clothes/make up. I just go strategically with my wrapping, either splitting gifts up if someone has less, or wrapping a few things together in one parcel if someone has more. If you did want to buy her more things what about something useful, such as pyjamas or body wash set, or even a cheap game or dvd?

I’ve lost a ring I bought. It’s from sil to dd and I ordered it for her and now no idea where I put it Confused

I also have nothing for dh. His birthday is before xmas too, argh where has December gone lol.

SlayingDragons · 22/12/2019 12:42

Thanks for the suggestions - didn’t realised M&S had started their sale already. DH and I are headed there at 5am tomorrow to pick up the food for Boxing Day and the last few bits for Christmas Day so will look then. Might also manage Home Bargains or B&M tomorrow

Pixie2015 · 22/12/2019 12:47

Lost the Velcro bricks from a couple of threads back after weeks of searching emptied the whole wardrobe and found them wedged inbetween 2 dresses ! Good luck to everyone hunting missing clothes x

Pixie2015 · 22/12/2019 12:48

Presents not clothes !

newroundhere · 22/12/2019 13:33

Argh, I'd forgotten about the velcro bricks Pixie2015 - we're on the road to family now for Christmas so I guess they're not making it under the tree this year.... Confused

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 22/12/2019 14:05

I’ve twitched and bought more Christmas Tree Spode (and holly and ivy cake plate) from Portmerion. If you order today you get it before Christmas.... I’ve been using the platters I bought recently and have had comments on how nice they are. I luffs them!!

4 items just ordered - all 70% off rrp - and a further 20% off 3 of the items. 2 sandwich platters will be presents for host and mil.

I also bought a cookies for Santa plate and drink set that was out of stock before. So will get to use it Xmas eve with daughter.

Came to £44 absolute bargain!

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 22/12/2019 14:08

Re the Spode/ Portmerion Holly and Ivy table ware... I have seen these retailing for full price at my local garden centre Christmas store. So they really are a great bargain. Lots of stock still left

Glad everyone is liking their raclettes! I knew you all would! They are such fun aren’t they?!

Mistressiggi · 22/12/2019 14:58

Wrapped everything last night and as usual need one more thing for one dc - have ended up getting ds (12) lots of clothes which he likes but it looks a bit boring - thought I could get a gift on amazon but can't find anything suitable (did look at stranger things posters or wallets but none that would come fast enough). He won't read and Santa is supplying the video game stuff Smile
Got some cellophane for £1 in the Card Shop locally, thank you for all the tips.

Mistressiggi · 22/12/2019 15:31

Oh have decided what I need to get from another thread on here - a euro 2020 football - now just need to decide where to get it from since amazon don't have it on prime!

wineoclockthanks · 22/12/2019 16:54

@Mistressiggi Sports Direct and Argos have the Euro 2020 footballs

dancemom · 22/12/2019 16:58

The Works has gorgeous cellophane in today. Came in packs of three rolls, one pack having pinks and the other lovely winter theme. Was dying to purchase them even though I had no use for them!

Goingslightlycrazy1 · 22/12/2019 17:10

Which website are people getting the Spode and Portmerian from please?

December25th · 22/12/2019 17:39

@Goingslightlycrazy1, the Spode site is here

December25th · 22/12/2019 17:42

Here for Portmeirian. It’s the same group.

Christmascookiesmmmm · 22/12/2019 18:03

I’m heading to shops tomorrow (strangely to return things rather than buy 😆) but just wondered if anyone has any heads up for good in store reductions?

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 22/12/2019 18:17

Mistress, Asda Living has stranger things posters in, £3 or two for £5. They also sell the maxi frames for £12.

EvilHerbivore · 22/12/2019 18:22

My online food shop is coming tonight and there's no mince pies! How can the whole of a depot run out of mince pies at Christmas?! So looks like I'll be venturing out anyway...

Bigtelevision · 22/12/2019 18:24

There’s only a few left in stock but Amazon have got a Mega Marshmallow BBQ kit for £5. Has big marshmallows and chocolate but no burner.

Unihorn · 22/12/2019 19:13

In laws were down yesterday with the first load of presents for ours; the Leapfrog Ice Cream Cart went down a treat with the 1 year old and 3 year old for anyone who got it in the end. There's a fair few modes of play that are definitely great for older children too.

margaritasbythesea · 22/12/2019 19:47

Christmascookiesmmmm - I went into town today and I ahve to say that I was underwhelmed with the reductions everywhere.

Great customer service in Matalan though. I had bought two duvets for guests and tested one out last night and hated it. I had lost my receipt but took the other one back and explained and they let me swap it with no problems. Fab.
