If you are getting a gift for your mum this year, what are you getting her?

100 stars dressing gown & a Chanel coffee table book.

Stompythedinosaur · 10/12/2019 18:53

We tend to just do small gifts. I'm getting dm a photo calendar, some posh mint chocs, a bowl with some crocus bulbs planted in (done by the dc) and tickets for a National Theatre Live performance later in the year.

Nonotmenori · 10/12/2019 18:55

I got her vouchers for next and marks, a dressing gown, a Clinique set and chocolate

Megan2018 · 10/12/2019 18:58

Electric toothbrush and some specific smellies-she does a wish list so these are what she wanted.

luckygreeneyes · 10/12/2019 19:02

Neom diffuser pod and oil

Thickums · 10/12/2019 19:02

Stocking:

Yankee candles
Slippers
Hair mask
shampoo
Fudge
Boiled sweets
Mascara
Body shop stuff
Chicago CD for her car

Main presents:
Book
Gardening tools
Coffee machine with coffee pods
Tickets to a concert in London for a weekend away.

I love my mum to pieces. My best friend. Shes always skint so buys nothing for herself but gives to everyone else.
If it wasn't for me then she'd just get standard 'body wash sets' from boots from my siblings. But nothing she genuinely would love or personal to her iykwim?

I earn decently so like to go all out at Christmas for her. I'm more excited to give to her than actually recieve myself which is nice :)

paddingtonbearsmarmalade · 10/12/2019 19:09

Neom candle (I got one for myself too in a 2for1 offer on Black Friday)
Nice hand soap
Tube of orange smarties (her favourite)
A leather iPad case with her initials - she asked for this
I’m hoping to get her a beautiful soap dish if I can ever get hold of the person who crafts them!
Umbrella
Possibly something knitting/crochet related

I’m an only child and love spoiling my parents a bit at Christmas. I’ll probably get a couple of smaller things as well.

thecalmorchid · 10/12/2019 19:12

Hotter shoes
Nice hand creams
Selection of treats she enjoys.

thecalmorchid · 10/12/2019 19:13

@EvaHarknessRose that's what I'm getting for Christmas too.

Cheese, cheese and cheese plus port.

One of the coatigans from next, she saw mine and loved it so got her one in a different colour. Some tickets for a show I know her and my DF would love to see!
I'm sure there's something else as well but I can't for the life of me remember, I normally wouldn't spend so much but she's done a lot for us this year so wanted to spoil her and my dad a bit Xmas Smile

Vouchers for a course led by someone of her choice from migrateful - they help train and support migrants and refugees to run cooking classes of their home cuisine. Hoping she takes me and then we'll go for cocktails afterwards!

Also something from the German Christmas market I'm off to next week...

Oh and paper earrings from the big issue site.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 10/12/2019 20:02

My sister and I have got her a set of luggage between us (she's late )0s) Then added to that I've got her some beauty items that I know she likes, a set of compression packing cubes, a jumper and a silk pillowcase.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 10/12/2019 20:02

She's late 60s!

SashayThatWay · 10/12/2019 20:37

She's off sunning herself over Christmas this year, so a pop up card with a plane in it, and a promise of a weekend away next year for just the two of us (she wants to choose where, holiday browsing is her favourite hobby)

And, bizarrely, cards against humanity, which she requested 😳

JustaScratch · 10/12/2019 22:02
