@allyougoodpeople Lidl had some heated throws in store at the weekend.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there’s anything I can do in this situation? Debenhams have sent me an incorrect item, it’s the wrong colour and size that I ordered. However I can’t get to a shop until the weekend to return it. They are refusing to refund me (even though they have accepted and seen photos of the wrong item) and have said it would then take 3/5 days to get my refund. But then I can’t order the correct item from anywhere else because they are holding my money?!

Do they have the correct item @pinkjam even if it's not in a local store?
If so, they should try and reserve one and have it sent to you.

Someone recommended an Anker powerbank & another poster was trying one & seemed pleased - wondering what one(s) they were as am confused by the variety (!)

Also did anyone find long charging leads for iphones ?

Re cellophane -florists sells it if you wanted to avoid postage costs - if you have PRIME could use Amazon, or on high street try Poundland or The Works

@wineoclockthanks They said they don’t have any in stock in the warehouse (and it’s showing out of stock online) I asked about local stores and they said they can’t ring round each store to find out. So I just need t bring the wrong item back and then can get a refund?! But they are ignoring the fact that they are wrongly keeping my money and have not delivered the ordered item.

In my local John Lewis this morning over half the shoe department was given over to clearance stock. I nearly bought some very soft black leather Carmela loafers for £29, reduced from £79.

I like johnlewis.com because you can search by discount % highest to lowest.

They also had plenty of gift hampers at 20% off.

We have bought my Dad a google dot for Christmas. I was thinking about getting him a music subscription to go with it so he can just ask it for songs /artists rather than trying to work his CD player with his failing eyesight.
However I don't do technology beyond basic use of my iPhone/iPad - I have heard of Spotify 7 know I can do a trial but after that its £10 a month. Is anyone else better value ?

My brother lives at address and has Amazon Prime - would that help ?

BeaLola - I have tried a few in the last few months and I find Spotify the best. The cheaper amazon one was so hopeless I didn't even want to try the full version.

@PinkJam will the store refund when you take the order back? If so should go straight back in your card. Obviously doesn't help immediately though.

@PinkPanther27 unfortunately by the time I knew anything was wrong there were several stones and my whole gallbladder was inflamed, I couldn't keep food down, was in lots of pain, bilirubin levels were very high etc so it was too far gone to 'manage' and so was straight to surgery
I hope you get sorted soon, it was a horrible experience before the surgery
