@Renovirgin2018 I’ve bought my (small) 14 yr old a small man’s size dressing gown from Sainsbury’s - navy with fine red stripes. Really both in and out. Great value for the money but some designs/styles were better than others for softness.

Lovemusic33 · 12/12/2019 07:27

RenardeRenarde thank you, I have bought her the jar set up 😁, she will be so pleased with it. We stumbled across a reptile and exotic pet shop at the weekend whilst we were lost and they had a selection of preying mantis and stick insects and she asked if she could get one (we had spoken about it before) and I said not, maybe after Christmas’, we already have a few exotic pets as well as a hamster and a cat. The house is starting to look like a zoo. At least these don’t take up much space.

wineoclockthanks · 12/12/2019 07:50

@Renovirgin Primark have some super soft ones for £12 - they're in the Mens section but the XS fits my 13 year old.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/12/2019 07:55

Scooters. If you want a stunt scooter grit and crisp are both good. We got ours from skatehut, skates.co.uk or the skatepark itself. Get metal bearings though for stunt use.

Does anyone have a recommendation for cheese making kits?

PinkJam · 12/12/2019 08:25

Clinique have £20 off their Sparkle and Glow gift set. So now £40. 8 piece gift set which includes 3 full size products.

And Clinique still have their Christmas wishes game on where you can win discounts and free gifts.

BrieAndChilli · 12/12/2019 08:28

I need a light grey large knit blanket. Budget up to about £30. Can anyone find me one??

Grafittiqueen · 12/12/2019 08:53

Thank you everyone for the suggestions for filler presents!!

gaggiagirl · 12/12/2019 09:12

@Floopsy the sandy leaf farm one on Amazon, it's usually less than £8 is a fine kit , I've used a few of their kits they are inexpensive and their customer service is great if you need any help with your kit.

lolarabbit · 12/12/2019 09:14

Depends if you just want it to make a basic soft cheese or hard cheeses I think @Floopsy. For the former we have this and it works fine, is sturdy plastic and a reputable make (but basically is just a lidded bowl and strainer so not much to go wrong!).

gaggiagirl · 12/12/2019 09:15

Sorry @Floopsy just checked Amazon and it looks like they sold.out of kits over black Friday. , I was going to get one for DH

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 12/12/2019 09:22

Brieandchilli, home bargains had the really chunky thick knit blankets in grey and pink for £24.99. Primark also had a cream one for the same price but our homeward section is very small so there may be more colours in other shops.

Smelly50 · 12/12/2019 09:28

Not in the high street had some cheese making kits

7Days · 12/12/2019 09:33

Brie, I'm certain I saw big knitted bedspread in either Aldi or Lidl's upcoming deals leaflet. The picture had them spread over a double bed.

MyFriendKimberley · 12/12/2019 10:05

I'm looking for a large dragon soft toy. Doesn't need to be massive but I would like it to look impressive. Should be 'realistic' rather than cartoonish. Ideally looking to spend no more than £25 (including P&P). Bonus points if it is red. Not asking much, am I?!

Gardenworm · 12/12/2019 10:07

@livingthegoodlife thanks for the Period Living + chilly bottle link, I added it to my basket then closed the browser and opened through top cash back (not sure if it will work but worth a try for extra 14% off)

keeganface · 12/12/2019 10:10

Does anyone have an Amazon Show? Does anyone recommend? We don't have a TV in the kitchen and was thinking of asking for one for Christmas so I could listen to podcasts, watch TV shows whilst I cook.

LazyDaisey · 12/12/2019 10:59

@MyFriendKimberley, jellycat does red dragons

Love these threads.

Spartonian · 12/12/2019 11:15

Yes to Jellycat dragons, yes to any Jellycat cuddly toy in fact I may have my own collection

Emiliemoo · 12/12/2019 11:23

I'm not sure if this has been posted but I've been in my local Matalan this morning and they have quite a bit of Christmas stuff up to half price off - I didn't look (was just picking up an order and didn't want to be temptedWineXmas Smile) but noticed it included gift bags, wrapping and tags etc.

lolarabbit · 12/12/2019 11:32

@BrieAndChilli - this is on offer at Urban Outfitters if you want a home knitted look. Good price but looks quite thin. Just realised you probably meant large as in chunky knit - if so, ignore this!
