Thank you @TheGriffle for the title. Lots of mole whacking will be going on over Christmas thanks to this thread!

Sorry for that crazy link.

Can anyone remind me what the code is to get £50 off for opening a credit account at Very?

GymSloth · 29/11/2019 11:56

@CatLadyInTraining

I think you might need to be a new user of the app. I've only just downloaded it - I normally just use the website.

I've discovered that if you type in 'get more' in your search bar on the app.you can see if you are eligible for it or not.

GymSloth · 29/11/2019 12:01

Also the Book People have 25% off with the code MEGA25. It's plastered all over their website, but just in case anyone has missed it.

I've just been doing some price comparisons and the code meant the books I wanted were quite a bit cheaper from there than other places.

StudentHelp · 29/11/2019 12:03

@BlueSkyAtChristmas
Depends what you’re looking for but I saw this one in person at a Christmas market and it was lovely. They do a few others too

Happychappy33 · 29/11/2019 12:03

Just got this M&S 20% code to my email
8TU5-UNBF-NPUE-XFCE if it’s any good to anyone

Happychappy33 · 29/11/2019 12:05

Re the M&S - It’s only on clothing, beauty and homeware

StudentHelp · 29/11/2019 12:06

Not really the cheapest though.
I also got a decent one from Lidl for £6 (I think) that is musical. They had 3 designs

SilkieAndMoonface · 29/11/2019 12:07

@MoonlightBonnet Thank you, the link is broken but I think I found the one you mean on Argos. Unfortunately it's OOS for delivery, and for every store anywhere near me, or my parents, MIL, or any other relatives I could press-gang into going in for me! Sad

lancslass17 · 29/11/2019 12:07

@SilkieAndMoonface i picked up some grow your in chillies from debenhams the other day for my hard to buy for grandad.

Does anyone happen to have a lakeland code pretty please.

Finally anyone seen jumbo heated rollers for sale ive got babybliss 30 pack in my amazon basket just wondering if there's anything better out there today x

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 29/11/2019 12:09

Thanks so much for the snow globe link- it’s the nicest I’ve seen and it’s good to know it looks as great in real life. Thank you!

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 29/11/2019 12:10

^ my thanks was directed at studenthelp

catanddogmake6 · 29/11/2019 12:12

@BlueSkyAtChristmas I bought a snow globe from here last year. Don’t think they have the one I bought but it was lovely (was a gift). I hope it will be loved for years.

StudentHelp · 29/11/2019 12:14

@BlueSkyAtChristmas
You’re welcome! I saw it at Chatsworth house Christmas market and couldn’t really afford it at the time but really wanted it!

www.werchristmas.co.uk/
Also do some others that are less traditional but do multiple songs etc but I haven’t seen them in person.

Junobug · 29/11/2019 12:25

@MoonlightBonnet The very code was PAQ96

You need to open an account and spend £100 on electricals. Then you can add the code to the check out and it will add it to your account balance. It takes a few days to appear but does work, I used it on an Apple Mac a couple of years ago and then my DH used it off an xbox yesterday. You have 12 months to pay off the balance interest free.

TheGriffle · 29/11/2019 12:38

Can anyone please recommend a good but bargainous soup maker? Ideally under £40 but not sure if that’s even possible!

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 29/11/2019 12:40

Thank you catanddog and studenthelp for the links to some stunning snow globes. I want to get a really special one and these look wonderful. I’m always hesitant when buying things online because you can’t inspect the quality. So it’s great to know they look as good IRL. The ones I’ve seen in the shops aren’t great - although the price reflects it.

Rather than buying lots of decorations, I’m slowly buying really special items for Christmas- 1 or 2 things a year. My youngest is only baby and we are just establishing our family Christmas traditions. So far we’ve a decent artificial tree, set of glass baubles and a beautiful nativity. I would also love some special cake toppers and a Christmas plate. January might be a good time of year to pick these up at a good price!

I will let you know which snow globe I go for.

MissMarple0203 · 29/11/2019 12:46

@LutherRalph you need to use this code - 25AIRW for the £25off and then if you go through top cashback you can get the 10% off

101Robin · 29/11/2019 12:51

If anyone sees a REALLY good deal on alcohol markers that aren't copic (those things cost more than gold) please shout it out on the thread.

KillashandraRee · 29/11/2019 12:54

Can anyone help with a compact camera? DH wants one and I have no idea if deals on amazon are any good?! Feel slightly panicky as this is his birthday present and I haven’t even started Christmas shopping for everyone yet (and breathe)! X

torthecatlady · 29/11/2019 13:08

@SlayingDragons I've fancied one of those giant bean bags for ages, not sure if I can justify the price (even on sale) Blush

Nearlyadoctor · 29/11/2019 13:10

@FatimaLovesBread - B&Q have a 5ft tree for £15 or can be combined with a set of lights for £19.

I was in store yesterday and saw it, it’s ok just as I remember all artificial trees being before they tried to make them very realistic ( and expensive). I think the next cheapest at that height was about £25

Bickles · 29/11/2019 13:13

Lego sets in Aldi for £6.99 looked good value.

villamariavintrapp · 29/11/2019 13:22

Costco has iPad for £289 and another £10 off.
