Thank you @TheGriffle for the title. Lots of mole whacking will be going on over Christmas thanks to this thread!

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Normally I’m completely finished by now but I haven’t even started, it’s been a horrid few months and Christmas has completely passed me bye!

I don’t even know where to start! Argh!

tinysnickersaremyfavourite · 29/11/2019 11:05

I need something for 4 and 8 year old boys, cost about £5 per child. I have part of their presents already but they are smallish in size things so would like something else For them to open. Ideally the same thing each to avoid arguing!
Any ideas?

CarrotVan · 29/11/2019 11:06

Any idea on the best place to buy cheap travel cups? I need about 14 for my parents’ carers

tinysnickersaremyfavourite · 29/11/2019 11:07

Oops 5 and 8

boobybum · 29/11/2019 11:10

CarrotVan these are £1.95 each - would they be any good? I think there may have been mention of a discount code somewhere as well?

I've been following the threads since the beginning but usually only lurk as any bargains I find you've mentioned first, but I wanted to say thank you everyone for the lovely Christmas spirit and the bargains.

I wondered if I could pick the hive mind for the last couple of things I need?
DH and I would like to buy our 2 DSs a Nintendo 2DS each, just the regular one is fine (though for a really good deal we might stretch to the XL). It's their main gift each and, especially as we need 2, we'd really like a deal. Bundled with something Mario would be fine, or I'll probably buy a bundle of second hand games anyway if not.

I also need a gift for FIL, who is a tricky bugger to buy for as we rarely see him and he's got enough money to buy anything he wants. He is into football, music, writing funny poetry, dogs/shooting. It's the kind of relation I'd normally buy a token box of chocolates for if that, but he doesn't seem to have a sweet tooth at all. I'd rather spend as little as possible but DH is adamant we should get something. I should have bought a joint hamper or something for him and Step-MIL, but I got the three Turtle Doves Fingerless Gloves offer from an earlier thread (thank you very much PP!) and was thinking one pair of those would be nice for her. Does anyone have any ideas?
TIA.

Lily Lolo (who do nice mineral foundation and various other things) have 25% off atm, and if anyone is looking for Elemis, the littleskinshop.com have good discounts, and free delivery on ALL orders. I've used them a lot, and found them very good.

PinkJam · 29/11/2019 11:15

@SilkieAndMoonface Completely agree! Great Christmas spirit and friendliness in these threads Smile

Dreamqueen · 29/11/2019 11:15

Hope this might be useful to someone.

Lurker here- have logged back onto mumsnet after long hiatus to share a Black Friday deal

The Perfume Society has 20% off all their discovery boxes. I’ve bought lots of these as presents for women and men of all ages. They’re particularly good for people who like luxury scents but you don’t have the budget for a full bottle! They come beautifully packaged and I’ve signed up as a VIP (you get a ‘free’ box and discount for a year as well as access to events and their magazine).

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 29/11/2019 11:18

In addition to sharing that deal, I’m looking for a really nice snow globe for my daughter. I want to buy a good quality one that will last. Are there any specialist Christmas stores online I could look?

Thanks to whoever shared the deal for handmade Christmas stockings- they arrived and we love them!

ArabellaPilkington · 29/11/2019 11:20

@SilkieAndMoonface I would get FIL a nice lined Moleskine notepad to write his funny poetry in.

GymSloth · 29/11/2019 11:22

Not sure if this has already been posted, but Amazon have a deal whereby if you order via the app, you'll get a voucher for £5 if you spend £50, £10 if you spend £100 and £20 if you spend £200.

I've not placed my order yet, but I've got a number of things sitting in my basket, so just waiting until I've got everything I need before I check out.

luckiestgirl · 29/11/2019 11:23

This is the link to the Clinique set with the gorgeous lip stick.

£16 if you use the code on the site (worth £29)

link

ArabellaPilkington · 29/11/2019 11:29

Thank you @thesoo for the Neom details. Got a reed diffuser for me and a full size candle as gift for £40 delivered. Smile

SilkieAndMoonface · 29/11/2019 11:30

@ArabellaPilkington

Now there's a good idea! Why didn't I think of that?! Thank you!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 29/11/2019 11:32

Thanks so much for the new thread @Reastie

@SweetPeaPods I don't think the velvetiser ever goes on sale. Also the Nintendo switch deals are never great. Nintendo say switch holds its value. The best deal which I got yesterday was the switch, Pokemon sword and mario kart for £264 from Very.

Thanks so much for the Clinique code last night. I got the box with Black Honey for myself. That was the colour I always wore years ago but for a short while it was discontinued and I wasn't even aware it was available again.

GeraldTippett · 29/11/2019 11:34

Monopoly Cheaters edition £10 on amazon. I think it was a bargain a few weeks ago at £13!

TiceCream · 29/11/2019 11:34

Are there any more M&S 20% codes knocking about please?

raindropsonwindows · 29/11/2019 11:39

Go Ape have 40% off all of their gift vouchers (eg £40 voucher (which would mean two people could do the Treetop walk thing where I live) only costs £24).
On a totally different note, Lakeland have various KitchenAid attachments half price. I don't usually pay much attention to these so am not sure how genuine the discount is but I do recall seeing them when I bought the KitcheAid (BF two or three years ago along with many others on these threads) and thinking they were pricey.

Thanks for the various tips over the recent months, especially the Harry Potter Great Hall at Argos last night. I've lurked on these for years (anyone else's children still playing with the bargainous Playmobil School from 6 years ago?) but rarely seem to spot any bargains to post myself.

MissMarple0203 · 29/11/2019 11:40

@graffitiqueen I can't see £25 off the airwrap on Currys website? Showing as being £449 or £399 was the £25 an email offer or something? Thanks

Reastie · 29/11/2019 11:40

@luckiestgirl sounds like you’re going to be a very popular Santa this year!

BlueSkyAtChristmas · 29/11/2019 11:43

Just checked the Perfume Society website and there are no discovery boxes aimed at men left - but there are 3 aimed at women all £12 each. I personally think most fragrances are unisex though ! I have the latest launches box and love it. The full size bottle of the Maison Francis Kurjidan alone is £150 and there are 2 generous samples in the box (both sprayers, don’t like dabbers!). Anyway might be good presents for any perfumista like me in your life !

CatLadyInTraining · 29/11/2019 11:46

@GymSloth - where can you see the Amazon cashback offer on the app? I can't see it on mine :(

Lc2006 · 29/11/2019 11:49

@SlipASomethingUnderThe just be aware it says used-like new. I didn't notice until after I had ordered but have emailed amazon to find out what this means. I don't mind if box is a little bashed as can pass off as santa having to cram everything in sleigh Grin but if the boxes in it have actually been opened I'll be cancelling

LutherRalph1 · 29/11/2019 11:53

@MissMarple0203 I thought the same but I think the entire deal is via top cashback
