Thank you @TheGriffle for the title. Lots of mole whacking will be going on over Christmas thanks to this thread!

thebrightestcoloursfillmyhead · 02/12/2019 12:20

I now find myself in the market for a heated throw. There was lots of chat on an earlier thread I recall but not sure of it was a bargain or recommendations on which are good. Can someone remind me. Thank you

VividImagination · 02/12/2019 12:48

I have converted dh to my frugal ways. Those who normally receive malt whisky or rum will this year get a good bottle of wine and something from the two, completely unnecessary, bargain hampers that will hopefully arrive next week. Sunday Times Wine Club have some Black Friday deals. I have posted my referral code on the appropriate thread.

Trumpton · 02/12/2019 12:50

I have the Lakeland heated faux fur throw . I am currently snuggled under it . It is , I think , the best present I have ever had . Instant joy !

LazyDaisey · 02/12/2019 12:53

@Kutsy can I recommend Eight & Bob Egypt. Cheapest I can see is in Debenham’s here but if you google, you can find a sample size for £45ish.

Frederic Malle also has an oud-based fragrance that’s quite unique. I think they’re part of the site sale at Harvey Nicks.

PoopaPoopa · 02/12/2019 13:04

Thanks for the echo dot info Flowers
I was looking at my lists of what I’ve got everyone including the dc and pretty much every single thing is from these threads 😂 Honestly I’d be lost without you all FlowersFlowersWine

PurpleSock · 02/12/2019 13:22

Does anyone have and suggestions or recommendations for a fitbit/Garmin type thing? I have no idea where to start!

Only requirements and it has to be compatible with strava, and is just for tracking runs so don't necessarily need a heart rate and all that stuff!

Oh and in the spirit of the thread, ideally a bargain!

BeBesideTheSea · 02/12/2019 13:32

@eastmidswarwicknightnanny 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍John Lewis price matched. I love these threads. Thank you all.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 02/12/2019 13:34

@PurpleSock if you want the watch to track your run without needing your phone too you need one with GPS that may narrow down your search

Fitbit have a cyber mon deal on

I have a Fitbit ionic it has GPS I use it for running it does lots other things that I must utilise too :)

WisestIsShe · 02/12/2019 13:42

@thebrightestcoloursfillmyhead Lidl have one for £29.99 from Thursday 5th. Think it's only available in grey though.

WisestIsShe · 02/12/2019 13:42

@massnounexample I am so so tempted! That really is a bargain.

thaegumathteth · 02/12/2019 13:56

@margaritasbythesea I've no suggestions but I have two kittens and much sympathy

Ewock · 02/12/2019 14:10

Hi everyone I am nearly done and have so many of you to thank. However I am stuck for my dh. He never asks for anything and rarely spends money on himself. We aren't doing expensive presents to each other this year for a variety of reasons but I would like to get him a few things to open. Has anyone any ideas?

ninjaturtlesmum · 02/12/2019 14:28

Thanks so much for this thread. I have had so many bargains off it. Could i ask if anyone has bought men’s socks from Celtic and Co? I have been looking at the Fair Isle socks. DH is a size 9 and they do two sizes 6-9 and 9.5-12. No reviews so I don’t know if they run big / small. @Maybedefinitely, thanks for the voucher code - looking to use it to order a couple of bits!!

ninjaturtlesmum · 02/12/2019 14:33

@Ewock, there is a good ‘gifts for men’ thread here. Has helped me with a few ideas for DH.

TheGriffle · 02/12/2019 14:36

@elsielegallez thank you for that beach towel website. First present for impossible dm sorted!

Smileatthesmallthings · 02/12/2019 14:50

Does anyone have experience with a good quality yellow bus toy. It's all my nearly 3yo DS has asked Santa for so I want to get a decent one, but they are all either wooden with no opening doors or more of a die-cast type thing which I'm worried will break in a week. I'm pondering the playmobil school bus but a little worried the pieces might be too small Hmm TIA.

CamdenTownie · 02/12/2019 14:54

Not sure if anyone else has already mentioned this website but take a look
At theazurinastore.com today they are offering 25% off including the flash sale items, really nice stuff for teenage girls, I just ordered a phone case and small bag for £9.75 total. You can also choose to have a monogram added, either initials or there's a choice of a few other things.

imsorryiasked · 02/12/2019 14:55

@smileatthesmallthings how about this one from Fisher price

Lovemusic33 · 02/12/2019 14:58

I would go for the playmobil yellow bus, you can always remove the tiny items. My dd loved the playmobil ambulance and fire engine at that age, we bought them at a boot sale so didn’t have all the little bits, they are quite robust unlike the other playmobil sets (buildings).

BeBesideTheSea · 02/12/2019 15:14

Boden code 25% off plus free delivery C9N9

Tiredmummyof3 · 02/12/2019 15:37

@Luxplus Thank you!

Does anyone else have some real bargains that they don't actually know who will be recieving them yet?!?! I have 2 hampers. Birch boxes, and a bracelet to find owners for! 🙈 Really must gain control back and not get distracted!

Grafittiqueen · 02/12/2019 15:57

Agh, I didn't buy the bargain £20 Knight bus and now DD has asked for it! Anyone seen it at a bargain price anywhere?
