Yes FAQS I linked to the Perfume Society boxes yesterday. They really are wonderful. I’ve enjoyed many myself and gifted lots too.

The best one on there right now imo is called ‘Latest Launches’. It has 2 x Miller Harris, 2 x maison francis kurjidan own label (the king of perfumers!) and lots of other lovely fragrances including a full size Nails Inc varnish. I’m a VIP so the box is £12 in the sale, not sure if it’s more for non VIPs??

They also have a travel set of Floral Street for a very good price!

If you want one you’ll need to be quick as they sell out quite fast based on my experience. Also be warned they take a week to be delivered.

Had anyone seen leather backpack with proper padded straps? It’s for DD who leaves for university next year, but the better quality, plainer leather ones are often marketed for men, (which is fine). I want something as plain and classic as possible. Ideally with an internal padded laptop pocket and a side water bottle pocket, but that might be asking too much. I think she’d like either tan/dark brown leather, or a bright colour.

@BlueSkyAtChristmas whilst you’re there. I’m looking for a really nice perfume with a fresh cut grass smell, any recommendations?

I've decided last minute to buy my DM a laptop to replace her 10y+ one. She basically needs a glorified internet browser that loads webpages faster than her current one (I've checked & her internet is fine so defs the computer). She wont use a tablet & would prefer a bigger screen.
Can anybody more technically minded than me please help?

@BlueSkyAtChristmas darn you I've just bought 2 boxes from the perfume society. I love a good sniff & couldn't resist the mini sizes to try, even though I really don't need more perfume. Is there a men's equivalent? Dh would like similar.

@panemEtCircenses have you looked at the mi pac tumbled black leather backpack? My daughter has it for 6th form and it handles the weight very well as her bag weighs an absolute ton and it has a laptop pocket inside and well padded straps. I paid about 40 from ASOS but you might be able to get it cheaper

@FAQs there are loads of grass perfumes. ‘Wander’ by Miller Harris opens with a strong fresh cut grass smell, it’s ok - not one of their best imo. But then I don’t reach for green perfumes too often. If you want something very green and loud, then Zoologist Elephant is amazing. More subtle but equally lovely is Miller Harris Cassis en Feiulle (leaves & tomato plants rather than grass but more ‘wearable’). Also try anything with ‘vetiver’ in as that might appeal.

The classic big green hitters are Hermes Jardin sur le nil, Chanel No 19 or Cristalle, Guerlain herba Fresca, silences by jacomo

@buckeejit lol sorry for enabling you there! Don’t think you’ll regret it though! They usually have a male oriented discovery box (or 2) but have sold out. If your fella is open minded I would recommend the niche collection- I think it’s £19. I have it and there are loads of unisex scents. It’s a really great box. They are often launching new boxes so it’s worth keeping an eye out. I think the value is fantastic for what you’re getting. Decent samples- especially niche- are hard to come by for free these days!
