Basically what the the title says Grin I am super organised this year which is a first I'm usually the last minute shopper but all the presents are bought they just need wrapping I am however going to wait till December to wrap as it will feel more festive [santa] we always get a real tree so usually wait a little longer in December before the tree goes up etc! But because I'm so organised this year I'm very excited to get the decorations up ! I was thinking of putting them up some point in the first week of December but is this too soon? When do you deck your halls? Grin

Ours go up the first weekend in December. It’s a good compromise in our family.

LochJessMonster · 13/11/2019 12:02

First weekend in December.

SuzieBishop · 13/11/2019 12:18

I want to put mine up on the 25th of November which is a Monday but my husband says no it’ll have to be the 1st of December 🙄 I said I’d put it up anyway but problem is I need him to get it out of the loft 😤

NeverHadANickname · 13/11/2019 12:27

Thanksgiving is November 28th this year so we will put ours up that weekend because that is when the tree farm opens for the real trees. It is a lot earlier than what I used to do but DH gets excited and it is our first year with a new baby.

HoneyBee03 · 13/11/2019 12:30

We are going for the 7th Dec this year. There is a local christmas market on that weekend that we love so we will head there, then go somewhere to find our tree and spend the evening decorating it and drinking Baileys :)

HideYourBabiesAndYourBeadwork · 13/11/2019 12:34

No earlier than the first weekend in December and back down by New Year’s Day as I like to start the new year with a fresh slate.

Clangus00 · 13/11/2019 12:36

1st of December.

squashyhat · 13/11/2019 12:37

The weekend before Christmas Day.

blibblibs · 13/11/2019 12:38

Always 1st Dec regardless of what day that is, luckily its a weekend this year. A few bit might sneak out the week leading up to it but tree is always the 1st.

Aposterhasnoname · 13/11/2019 12:39

Normally the second week in December, but this year I too am extra organised, plus we’ve had the house decorated and it looks fab so I’m super excited and they’re going up on the 1st December 😃

ParkheadParadise · 13/11/2019 12:40

Dd's birthday is the 5th, I like to leave her birthday cards up for a couple of days.
Probably about 12th I'll get the decorations out.

Sistercharlie · 13/11/2019 12:40

19th December. Back down on or before the 6th.

missmouse101 · 13/11/2019 12:42

Second week of December

Cineraria · 13/11/2019 12:42

Start of Christmas holiday from school or last weekend before Christmas, whichever is first. DH insists it should be start of December but doesn't do anything about it then so it gets left until I suggest it. Previously we have done it while the children are asleep and their reaction had been amazing when they see it but this year I think they would probably enjoy doing it so we'll do it all together.

grandmasterstitch · 13/11/2019 12:43

Around 14th and it stays up until twelfth night

SouthernComforts · 13/11/2019 12:44

If you haven't put them up by now you may as well not bother Wink

kelper · 13/11/2019 12:46

At some point during the first 10 days of december usually.
I have someone on my fb who is having huge rows with her husband (On facebook) because she wanted to put her tree up in November 1st......
99% of her friends responses have been "way too early" but she won't have it!

maddy68 · 13/11/2019 12:47

Week before Christmas day

Fishcakey · 13/11/2019 12:52

Generally 1st December. 29th November this year as it's a Friday and we like to have a drink, nice food and make an occasion of it. My mum would always make us wait until after 12th.

ritzbiscuits · 13/11/2019 13:19

We'll be going for Sat 7th Dec this year. We want to do it on a weekend, and Sunday 1st is too early. I'm sick of it by Christmas if it goes up too early.

Arrowfanatic · 13/11/2019 13:38

Usually the first weekend of december that my husband isnt working. So if not 1st itll be 14th. I'd prefer the 7th but we have fil visiting and hes a major gumpy old man..actually dreading his visit.

Stompythedinosaur · 13/11/2019 13:56

Beginning of December whenever we have a free day together.

MustardScreams · 13/11/2019 14:00

7th here. My birthday is the 12th and I love having everything looking festive and lovely in time for it.

MustardScreams · 13/11/2019 14:01

Someone was saying on another thread they put theirs up on the 1st November Shock

Touchofclass · 13/11/2019 14:05
