For anyone got the sample box from the coffee company from earlier thread: the label can be peeled off easily so left with plain box than could be decorated etc, but inside there is a voucher for £5 off a spend of £20. Think it was sample5 which sounds pretty generic

Just to make sure people reading aren't confused - those are the paperback versions, I think they've always been around that price? The Bloomsbury offer was for the hardbacks which are usually £20-30 but were down to £10 each. Mine arrived today and it's huge! Beautiful though, I expect a paperback version would be easier to wield for little hands.

@ScarlettDarling if you search for Oral B on Amazon there are loads reduced at the minute. I haven't linked any as not sure what price range you are looking at

Hi this might be a silly question but if I buy an echo as a present for someone else and they set it up and ask to buy something on amazon would it be charged to my account? Also a question for anyone who has Alexa in Ireland we have one but I can't get the Irish news is there a way of getting this ? Also as we can't get Amazon music is there a way of playing music with spotify without upgrading to the spotify you pay for? Sorry but I am clueless about these things.

I've just checked my email confirmation and Amazon only charged me 99p for the echo dot?! Thought it was £8.99. Says it has been despatched too. Anyone else?

Appreciate the insight into the busybookness of the advent calendar @vroc81 I've decided to go with playmobil instead, she wont miss what she didn't know about and playmobil will be fun for longer I expect.

Whoever you gift it to would set it up to their Amazon account @whatwillIcallmyself. You do need a Premium Spotify account to connect it to the echo dot though unfortunately.

I looked on the Bloomsbury site and they were selling the paperback version for about £13.50, so I figured it was still a bargain - although obviously not as bargainous as the £10 hardback deal! Sad I missed that, although you're probably right about little hands, as DS is only six and finds hardback chapter books a bit unwieldy.

I have a dot downstairs, reminds me to take meds and to check cooking and the fridge door etc. Do I need one upstairs and what for? ( trying to justify) 😀

How has everyone bought more than one cheap Echo Dot's? I tried to get DH to order one but he gets the message about it only being for new customers, I guess because he is tagged on to my Prime benefits (even though he doesn't use them ).
