NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2019 09:53

Can is typo for Van?!

CatLadyInTraining · 11/10/2019 09:57

Loving this thread!
@ClaraLane - I've been looking at these Christmas socks on Amazon - six pairs for under £5. No idea of the quality though.

Does anyone have any tips on where to get free or cheap beauty samples? DD has requested a beauty advent calendar, but she is quite young and all the ones I have seen look too grown up (& expensive!). I am not quite ready for her to go full make up, but think she will have fun playing with various creams, face masks etc. (Or, alternatively, has anyone seen any beauty calendars that they like for a young tween?)

WisestIsShe what sort of man is he? Does he like coffee? Exercise? Beardy grooming?

QVCismyJam · 11/10/2019 10:12

Thanks so much *@CoffeeAndEnnui * have got a rotten cold today and you have put smile on my face Smile DH every year gets socks and more socks from his parents as his Xmas gift from them and he grits his teeth and always mutters later its not like I love ruddy socks I mean I LOVE pizza they could buy me a cheap frozen pizza for a quid and I would be happy Sad I have bought your pizza socks and will give them to him before we go to see them at Xmas as I know it will make him laugh before he has to be polite and say thanks for his millionth pair of socks!

@WisestIsShe have you had chance to look in Home Bargains? They have some good retro toy type things for your Brother he may find fun. Ive bought some Klackers (shows my Sisters age LOL) she loved them as a kid [santa]

mogtheexcellent · 11/10/2019 10:27

Logged on to post the turtle doves offer but someone has beaten me to it! Grin The cashmere fingerless are down to £16.50 if you use the link (discount appears at checkout). The offer is for 'from the box' which means you can choose a hue but not the actual colour. You can put a special request in the notes and from my experience they try their best to accommodate. They are fantastic quality and I have bought more as gifts. A definite recommendation for hard to buy for aunts/sisters/older kids/yourself

captainjacksparrow · 11/10/2019 10:33

Hi all, been lurking for the last 6 threads but had some great bargains so far thanks to you wonderful lot.
I'm after a bargainous DAB radio for dp if anyone has seen anything? Smile

mogtheexcellent · 11/10/2019 10:35

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 11/10/2019 10:39

catladyintraining last year Superdrug had a few that were more aimed at teens. think there was Disney ones and cute animal type with beauty bits in like lip balm, hand cream etc. I was tempted for my dd as she loves a bit of hand cream and lip balm 😂

SquintEastwood · 11/10/2019 10:39

@ClaraLane - I always wear odd socks too!

Last year my secret Santa bought a standard pack of 5 funky pairs (Primark or similar) funky socks then just folded them in odd pairs in a Poundland gift box.

I was chuffed with that :o

crikeycrumbsblimey · 11/10/2019 10:46

Erm van and it’s on fire so it can have a fire engine in it

Very big set for the price

Bluewavescrashing · 11/10/2019 10:46

I didn't buy the DMs. They are very pretty but a) I have 6 pairs of boots and b) I recently bought two kitsch pairs of trainers so am sorted for cute footwear. Go me!

Mountain warehouse has 50% off EVERYTHING this weekend. If anyone needs winter coats etc.

Notlongnow1 · 11/10/2019 10:49

Smafolk has arrived! Pretty happy. 2 dresses, 2 tops and a pair of tights. The tights are the size up annoyingly but not the end of the world.

unexpectedthird · 11/10/2019 10:50

Thanks for the pebblechild link. I just got my newborn a couple of beautiful hats for his stocking. 😁

Luxplus · 11/10/2019 11:18

@Reastie normally småfolk does not have any discount code to make it cheaper. But you tend to get really good bags with a great saving, granted that you like their style of clothing...

Dogmatix34 · 11/10/2019 11:22

When should the turtle doves discount appear? I’m making it all the way to postage and it still says £22.

TakeMeToYourLiar · 11/10/2019 11:24

Really pleased with our Småfolk delivery. 3 long sleeve t shirts and a jumper.

This is a boys 5-6 bag

@bettyskitchen you're welcome! Glad you could use it Smile

Footasylum have a few selected sizes/colours of Dr Martens in their sale, 10% off for students and free delivery over £49, the red sparkly ones are tempting me for dd but I'm not sure she needs 3 pairs of DM's Confused

ClutchinMahPurrrls · 11/10/2019 11:53

Thanks to PPs who recommended The Loving Nature! Ordered some salve and some deo samples. They all smell lovely! I'm going to put two deos in an advent calendar and keep one for myself.

Came with a code TLN63 gets 10% off, no minimum spend and free P+P on all orders Smile Hope someone else can use it as I won't order again until I've used my sample up and want a big tub!
