@NaturalBlondeYeahRight I've got 25 people to buy for (I do all of DH's side too as it's easier) and have only done about 3 or 4...

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 21:50

Try again here

DarkHumour · 10/10/2019 21:58

Glad the M&S codes were of use.

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight I feel exactly the same, but I have to keep reminding myself it’s only October. I have a lot of family to buy for including 11 children. The most difficult part is trying to ensure gifts look fairly equal between siblings. I might see a great deal on a toy for one, but then I may have to go over budget for the other two siblings to balance it out, negating the original bargain. Next year I may just give up and just purchase gift cardsGrin

recklessgran · 10/10/2019 21:59

@WisestIsShe have a look at Lakeland they've got a whole section of stocking fillers, a lot of them are edible but some lovely stuff there for a fiver or less.
I've bought these for stockings - lots of flavours and a nice tin that looks expensive.
realcoffeebagco.com/product/gift-tin-10-coffee-bags/
They also do a coffee subscription for next to nothing - about 3 or 4 quid a month I think.
Then put in a scratchcard, puzzle book, pen, paperback, some toiletries, miniature alcohol/bottle of craft beer, car air freshener if he's got a car,one of those little metal puzzle things, some chocolate coins, anything special you had as kids? Retro sweet like a sherbert dib dab or something?
I'm sure someone else will be along with more ideas......

I do not need sparkly DMs. I do not need sparkly DMs. I do not need sparkly DMs.

DarkHumour · 10/10/2019 22:09

Aldi are selling little jars of flavoured Beanies Coffee for £1.49. I bought Caramel Popcorn flavour today and it’s lovely - I do have a very sweet tooth thoughBlush They would make a great stocking filler.

Givealittlebit · 10/10/2019 22:11

Argh the threads are moving so fast! Thanks to whoever posted the iPad/tablet case, hope it's as lovely in real life!

Imustbemad00 · 10/10/2019 22:13

15% off H&M

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 22:15

@Bluewavescrashing yes you do, yes you do, yes you do. You will look fabulous in them.

Bluewavescrashing · 10/10/2019 22:17

@WisestIsShe you are a bad influence!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 10/10/2019 22:25

@WisestIsShe, how about a few circus skill type toys in his stocking? Things that could make fun distractions on Christmas day. I'm including a Diabolo and flow rings in adult stockings this year as well as juggling balls for those who don't already have a set.

You could do popcorn attached to a favourite movie you share in there too and maybe make him a 'mixtape' of favourite old songs on a data stick. Suck UK do an awesome mixtape case with a data stick hidden inside but I hate to link this version because it was available at a total bargain price in the Oliver Bonas sale yesterday and is definitely not worth what Amazon is chargingSad

The Luckies of London Soup Socks are always fun and the tin fits well in a stocking too. As do the single slice Pizza Socks. But honestly, you're doing such a nice thing that I'm sure whatever you choose will be well received and make him smile.

(Forgive all the Amazon links, half of these were in my basket so I used them for ease as I have a sleeping dog on my arm but obvs shop around for cheaper versions. Firebox stocks lots of them too)

Elpheba · 10/10/2019 22:27

My Småfolk parcel arrived today. Girls size 4-5 and I’m fairly pleased I think. Two nice dresses, one in a Christmas print, one dark brown with rabbits. Pair of green tights with apples on, short sleeve yellow t shirt with a mermaid print which DD loves and a rather hideous yellow ruffled skirt thing which DD got very excited about because it MATCHES the t shirt 🤦🏼‍♀️ Nice to get something a bit different though and the surprise element was fun but I wouldn’t have paid more than the £37 ish for them!

Mipe · 10/10/2019 22:36

I have some more M&S codes valid between 10th - 14th October, please pm me if you would like one Smile

HoneyDragon · 10/10/2019 22:38

Ok. After the last useless Amazon code these metal collapsible straw sets look good for stocking fillers. I’ve purchased them for £3 ticking the 75% off box. Think the offer ends tomorrow though

HOBBIC Collapsible Metal Straw - Reusable Telescopic Straws with Travel Case and Cleaning Brush - Eco Friendly Stainless Steel Drinking Straw with Keychain - for Home, Office, Outdoor - 2 Pack (Blue) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07VRMQLY5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Rp6NDb7TEBEFG?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Ginxed · 10/10/2019 22:44

@Wisestisshe how about a game you played as kids, I’m thinking Operation, Mousetrap, Bucking Bronco type of thing.

Definitely a stocking, but wrap all of the gifts in it, I always think it feels more special that way!

Ginxed · 10/10/2019 22:55

@Honeydragon thank you for the straws I was looking for those for my twins’ stockings.

While I was buying them, I spotted this ring 13p plus 95p postage, great for a preteen’s stocking or advent calendar.

Jacopone · 10/10/2019 23:06

Gosh, what a thread. If anything it’s very educational. Half of those things I never knew existed. Feeling very backward. Trotting off to buy pizza socks. Thank you to the poster for this revelationSmile

CoffeeAndEnnui · 10/10/2019 23:14

@Jacopone, if you can justify an entire pizza box full of socks, the large boxes have rolled crusts too and look epic in real life!

Youvegotafriendinme · 10/10/2019 23:25

@WisestIsShe for Christmas one year I did my DB (very late 20s at the time) a box full of things he had as a child. There was an annual, a potato gun, those paper snaps you threw at the ground, stretch Armstrong, jelly aliens you put on your figure and loads more. I got nearly all of it in Hawkins bazaar. I wrapped each thing individually and He absolutely loved it.

Or last year I bought my DH concert tickets. In a large box filled with torn paper, I wrapped up individual, extremely vague clues to songs that linked to the artist. There were only 8 things in there but took him around 30-40 minutes trying to work it out. Was great fun for me to do and even better watching him open it

MyIncapableOne · 10/10/2019 23:47

@Bluewavescrashing Grin
Me either, but they are calling to me and have my size...

Jacopone · 10/10/2019 23:58

CoffeEnd... No way! And I thought I have seen everything. It’s amazing! Seriously, big thank you - I’ll have a perfect present for my boy.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 11/10/2019 04:37

@recklessgran @WisestIsShe I emailed the Real Coffee Bag Company and they confirmed the offers on the subscriptions would be on until Christmas. I didn't want DHs to start arriving before Christmas but didn't want to miss out on the offer!!

Penguinbeaver · 11/10/2019 06:38

Photobox have a sale 50%off everything code FLASH50

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 11/10/2019 06:39

Do lush ever do any promotions? I like the bath bombs as stocking fillers

gaggiagirl · 11/10/2019 06:58

Lush do a half price sale on boxing Day but it's of Xmas gift bundles. Aside from that no they dont and they charge p&p no matter what the spend if you buy on line.
