NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 10/10/2019 20:41

Love this thread, been here about 5 years but I can’t be the only one who gets a bit stressed when I hear some of you say they have finished it nearly finished. I can’t pin people (kids and teens) down on what they are hoping for!!

NoGravyForYou · 10/10/2019 20:41

Found a code for yslbeauty.co.uk randomly in my inbox today, 10% off with free samples and free UK delivery. One use only so if you use it just comment to say.

Oops forgot to say, it's valid until 1/11/19!

PinkJam · 10/10/2019 20:46

I don’t want to speak out of turn but just be careful posting one use codes on the thread as in previous years some people that just browse use them and don’t say.

georgialondon · 10/10/2019 20:47

Thanks to the PP who mentioned the Hush sale. I just spent £100 in 5 minutes on stuff I didn't know I needed 10 minimum ago!

And all of it's for me!

QOD · 10/10/2019 20:50

Thanks for the lollipop face muslins

Smileatthesmallthings · 10/10/2019 20:51

@bluewavescrashing Email your council and say the binmen forgot your bin, they'll probably do a one off collection for you! We got ours to exchange for a bigger bin and they took the old one away full too - made this old person very happy!

ReindeerPoop · 10/10/2019 20:56

I don’t suppose anyone has a snuggle free delivery code? Their sale is fab but £4.99 delivery Shock

ReindeerPoop · 10/10/2019 20:56

Smiggle!

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 21:03

I have a brother. He's the best. Currently he's having health issues which mean he can't work and is very down. He's in his thirties and single with no kids. He has a birthday in November, then Christmas. I'd like to get him lots of presents, as long as they're bargains Grin In the usual order of things he's very laid back and likes everything.
I've already ordered from Tokyo Laundry but I'd love any other suggestions.
I really want him to know we love him.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 10/10/2019 21:03

@coffeetofunction, the H&M 15% is a voucher you can find in the membership section and add to your basket. For existing and new members so you can still sign up and qualify if you're not already in the scheme.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 10/10/2019 21:06

Discount can be activated on your phone to use in-store too. Has a 15-minute countdown though so probably best activated when you're ready to buy.

NotPennysBoat · 10/10/2019 21:10

@WisestIsShe I always think that the beat gift to show someone you love them is your time. Do you live close by? Could you do something together like a show (Back to the Future musical is on tour)l for example), or an escape room, or brewery/distillery tour, or an expensive car race day??

NotPennysBoat · 10/10/2019 21:11

*best gift not beat gift!

SkintSanta · 10/10/2019 21:14

@CoffeeAndEnnui it’s like the holy grail. A nice storage basket and with a lid. Imagine the stacking possibilities ShockGrin

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 21:14

@NotPennysBoat Yes, we are very close by and already spend maybe two evenings a week together. He's not been working for a while now though and I thought some treats might bring him some real pleasure/childhood fun of Christmas. Frivolity, I guess?

Wholetthetoysout · 10/10/2019 21:16

I thought I’d share some discounts I’ve found for wooden toys/sustainable living shops. These work always (aren’t just monthly discounts) unless you’re trying to buy something exempted from discount (eg. Sale)

yesbebe.co.uk/ Code: FAM10. Best for most Grimm’s, Lanka Kade arks, Hape and Haba. They have free delivery over £30 and loyalty points

www.babipur.co.uk/ Code: BUDDY. Best for Holztiger, Plan Toys and quick delivery

www.littlewhispers.co.uk/ Code: SHOPSMALL. Best for wobbel boards and Tonnies

These might not be considered bargains for some, but might be helpful to others Smile

Theimpossiblegirl · 10/10/2019 21:18

My neighbour's porch is stacked full of parcels. I wonder if she's on this thread..

recklessgran · 10/10/2019 21:28

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight I'd like to reassure you that I won't be done for ages due to the size of the Christmas gig here! I guess it's all relative. My bestie is done having bought 5 gifts in total. I've got 122 on my spreadsheet so far.... However I have 5 adult DD's and 5 DGC who all have stockings, themed hampers and presents under the tree. That's before we even start on wider family. I love it all, [especially this thread which is warm and lovely and kind and full of Christmas spirit!]
I'm really enjoying myself here-thanks all.

Smileatthesmallthings · 10/10/2019 21:31

@WisestIsShe Lovely idea to cheer your brother up. You should definitely get him an advent calendar (I saw some pork scratchings ones the other day - very 'manly'), and a selection box (either prebought or homemade with his fave/childhood sweet treats). If you're going to spend Christmas together why not get yourselves matching pj's for a giggle? For proper gifts I don't really know, but I like the idea of doing the things we all loved at Christmas as a kid.

recklessgran · 10/10/2019 21:38

@Smileatthesmallthings what about doing him a stocking? There are some lovely bargainous things you could put in there.

livingthegoodlife · 10/10/2019 21:43

Can someone direct me to the cheap Doc martens mentioned earlier? Thank yooou!

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 21:46

@Smileatthesmallthings yes, advent calendar is a great idea. Thanks. He doesn't need it to be manly, he lives chocolate! Not sure about the pjs Smile
@recklessgran a stocking sounds lots of fun, I'd love some ideas for it.

WisestIsShe · 10/10/2019 21:49

@livingthegoodlife that was the sale page on here but I found the bargains sold out really fast. Hope your find something great.
