Thanks Mrs. That's what I've been doing. Hopefully it starts to ease up soon.

I've also being hearing good stuff about the aero press. I don't need it so trying to pass up the bargain.

I didn't see the rugby this morning. I was too traumatised after yesterday's debacle.

Wow, 70. Glad to hear you're doing better! What a shame it was at the start of your holiday instead of the end!

Think I mentioned our tumble drier died last weekend - turns out it was the socket, not the drier Blush But, we did need a new one - the old one was one of those in the big repair/recall debacle with Hotpoint or whoever it was, and one of the paddle things inside that move the clothes around had fallen off, so it did need replacing.

Anyway, so they delivered it at 7.15 this morning ShockShock I slept badly anyway, and had to get up and move the car (work's pool car so DH can't drive it), so I'm being pretty useless today as well!

Neros you have my sympathy. I broke my little toe and the one next to it once - on day 2 of a 2 week cruise! My foot went blue and swelled to twice it's size so I had to wear flip flops (we were cruising fjords in Norway).
Cocktails made it feel better though so that's my top tip 👍🏻

flouncy that pass was much discussed in the Crazy household. We've settled that it was flat Xmas Grin Awful actions from the French player who was sent off though. How our players jaw wasn't broken is beyond me!

Excellent bargains MrsMad

We took nephew to his rugby match today - I didn't mind this week as it was cold but bright and dry. They lost but did so well, he was muddy from head to toe!
Brought him home then had a nice relaxed hour or so eating ice cream and watching Spiderman. Nephew had a nap and I worked on my cross stitch.

Dsis has just picked him up so housework now 🙄
I need a lottery win so I can afford to work part time and hire a cleaner / housekeeper Xmas Grin

Mrsmadevans · 20/10/2019 15:42

the drawers Xmas Grin

Left box in the car so couldn't take a pic but these are the same Smile

Mrsmadevans · 20/10/2019 15:45

Crazy my DH has catergorically said to me that it was not a forward pass Xmas Grin
I think l offended him when l said, only in passing , Hmm was it a forward pass Xmas Grin

We've watched Arthur Christmas this afternoon. It's quite a cute film! I was doing a bit more cross stitch at the same time.

I didn't get to mow as we had rain (not forecast; apparently a 6% chance at the time it rained!) and it was too wet. Bugger! I did get the buddleia pruned, as well as tidying the strawberry patch and some of the pots. I need the green bin emptying before I can finish tidying!

Good shopping haul, Mrs. 🎅🏻

Neros, I hope your toes improve quickly. Funny how the smallest things hurt the most!

I made tuna cakes for dinner. They were really good and everyone ate them which is a miracle in itself

Mrsmadevans · 20/10/2019 23:23

Have news will travel , Mum's dance club had the AGM on Thursday, The fallout is, the treasurer has resigned because the DJ's wife stood up and wagged her finger at him and said 'Don't you call Majel a liar' . Majel did lie about the booking of the Christmas dance and the treasurer called her out on it . Treasurer resigned and Majel asked him for the books . I am cringeing as l write this . They are all in their 80's, can't dance for toffee and are so childish it isn't true! The treasurer rang Mum , then Majel rang Mum . Mum believes the treasurer because he doesn't suffer fools gladly and tells ppl what he thinks to their face even if they don't like it ! So it looks like my Dancing days are done because Mum has now fallen out with Majel for lying ! I couldn't make this up ! Xmas Grin
Fanny those glasses sound lovely Smile
DH doesn't agree with you and is mortally wounded Xmas Grin
Some more gossip, fireworks set off at 4 in the morning by 2 men, one of which is my Mum's BF's grandson, who Mum loves to bits but he is very immature l am afraid, think extremely silly but harmless Hmm
Anyway my sil has been on the local FB page having a go at the men, who were filmed and it was put on FB (they were very polite and never said a swear word/shouted) not that it makes it better but .... . I wouldn't blame her if she had heard it but she hadn't, she has form for getting involved in stuff that has nothing to do with her and causing a huge row Hmm. She would be good at inciting a crowd you know Xmas Grin, Anyway Mum has been on the phone to me telling me all about it and she is upset because her BF doesn't have FB and doesn't know ! I told her to keep out of it and pretend innocence it will all blow over by then with a bit of luck Hmm
Have a good sleep everyone Grin

Mrsmadevans · 20/10/2019 23:25

Morning!

Brrrrr! Chilly pom pom this morning! I hung the washing out at 5.30 and got a bit cold! 😂

We're meant to have dry weather for most of the week. I'll probably mow the lawn as soon as I get home tonight. Before it's too dark to see. 😁

Mrs, all drama round your way!

Wreck, I hope you're feeling better. Neros, I hope your toes are on the mend. 70, I hope you keep recovering well.

I'm a big fan of this chocolate brand - Lauden Chocolates, the ultimate luxurious chocolates - beautiful and delicious! You mgiht have seen Stephen, one of the founders, on GBBO Creme de la Creme.

They rarely discount so it's a good time to take advantage. You can get 15% off til the end of the month with code CHOCTOBER

www.laudenchocolate.co.uk

Will I be able to make any last til Christmas though?! Hmm

Afternoon!

I've had a busy old day today! Mondays are always a bit frantic.

Then I have to mow the lawn when I get home! Well done to your DH, Mrs! It's definitely tidying time, isn't it?

I think our washing will have dried as it's been lovely today. I'll see when I get back. We rarely use the tumble dryer, thankfully. Only if it's hideous outside. So much can't be tumbled, so it's not able to be used a fair bit.

Wreck, I hope you and your DS are OK.

Hello all I am keeping my sanity and trying to remember how to type (kindle type device with very unique predictive text). We bought a big drum Hoover dryer recently after our nightmare hotpoint still refused after a £75 repair bill .so glad we did ....I'm waiting on clearance to get home but dreading the flight if truth be known .Once back on terra firma I am never flying again. Staying positive but I have done my uncontrollable wailing
this last week. Catch you all up later☺

Ds was still complaining when he got home so I gave him some calpol. I'm ok just getting on with it. Dh on the other hand is acting like a complete baby and pissing me off so much Angry

70 I hope the flight home isn't too far away and isn't too traumatic. My mum loves a cruise.

WreckTangled · 21/10/2019 19:15

My hotpoint washing machine is ten years old and still going strong. My hotpoint drier is almost as old too.

Mrsmadevans · 21/10/2019 19:28

Fluffy did you have to cut the lawn in the dark? 🌆
Hope not but it is dark early now 🤗
70 hope you are home soon m'dear keep your pecker up with Christmas plans 💐
Fanny, l second the cruise suggestion 😊
Wreck your Hotpoints are doing well , hope Ds and you are better very soon m'dear 💐
