fluffy Good luck int he alottment. I need to go try and find the board and read. I don't tend to go anywhere else on mn lol Good luck with the haircut!

wreck Ooof good luck with the youtube ban. One of mine is grounded and it's put her into such a snit she's driving me mad. Mine are older and it doesn't influence them but they are teenagers and sometimes act like little monsters I think because of hormones haha

Mrs I'm getting my flu jab next week! The kids are getting theirs in November cause it's the soonest I could get them into the doctor. I have had all my pneumonia shots too! Go me!

woolly I don't iron anything unless I'm sewing it haha

firefly I love that placemat!

It's so cold! It's 1 C right now with today's high being 13. The highest it will be this week is 22. I'm loving the cooler weather! No more toasting!

CrazyBaubles · 12/10/2019 14:40

Wheels Brexit is a controversial topic here, debates about it can get very heated!
Your weather has changed so quickly. It's cold here but nowhere near that bad (I think we're currently at around 11 degrees C)

Woolly you did ironing instead of knitting 😱 Xmas Grin
What are you making at the mo?

I don't iron - I deliberately buy dresses and cardi's that don't need it because I hate it almost as much as I hate hoovering.

MrsMad I have my flu jab booked for 2 weeks time (soonest I could fit it in with work).
I've never had flu either, hopefully it stays that way.

Firefly lovely place mats!

Tile Arthur Christmas is always a winner with children.

I woke up to a flat tyre this morning. I was expecting a £10 puncture repair but no, big slit in it so was a £55 replacement 🙄

Can I ask for some creative suggestions please? We take my nephew away every year. We tell him on Christmas Day and the trip is usually Jan / Feb.
This year we're taking him to the Isle of Mann and I need a way of telling him that's fun (for Loch Ness I crocheted him a Nessie and for Ireland I printed a little book where a leprechaun talked about giants Causeway and asked him for help is finding the Giants who were hiding).
For this trip I have no ideas at all...

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 14:51

Been waiting for this to come out YAY!

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 15:04

Crazy what about a Manx cat with no tail?

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/10/2019 15:06

How old is he Crazy? Could you crochet him a cat without a tail? Or do a make-your-own jigsaw of a photo of the Manx flag or the Laxey Wheel? I had one done a couple of years ago at a photo printing shop.

I'm knitting now after my domestic goddess-ing this morning. It's a baby jacket and hat for my great niece's baby.

EmrysAtticus · 12/10/2019 15:17

DS' letter for his flu vaccine arrived yesterday so that will be sorted soon :) Was thinking of paying for it for me this year as I have heard it's going to be a bad year.

I think a jigsaw of the Manx flag would be fab crazy

WheelchairWoes · 12/10/2019 15:18

crazy yeah our weather changes so abruptly it usually makes everyone sick! It's kind of miserable to be honest

I second and third everyone's ideas of a tailless cat toy! that would be really really cute.

Mrs Those foods look SO yummy. We're off to the festival for rides in about 3 hours!

TilandPop · 12/10/2019 15:38

Lovely placemat Firefly, and a bargain too!

neros sorry if you’ve mentioned it but where are you off to?

Do you have any plans for tomorrow Fluffy?

Crazy I’ll put Arthur Christmas on, the girls like Elf and the snowman too. I fourth the Manx idea!

mrs I love good food! It looks delish!.

Does this thread usually get this active towards Christmas time? It’s so hard to catch up with you all!.

I managed to get some baubles with the DD’s names on yesterday, so they can be their Christmas Eve baubles.

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 15:50

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 16:04

Wreck l think Scotland is a certain bet
'Statistically, the snowiest place in the UK is the Cairngorms in Scotland, with 76.2 days of snow or sleet falling on average. Cornwall is the least likely to get snow, with an average of only 7.4 days of snow or sleet falling a year' according to the Met office Grin

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 16:07

DH says they usually have snow on the top of Pen y fan in the Brecon Beacons too but it is treacherous Grin

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2019 16:10

Firefly your placemats are gorgeous , you will have a busy Christmas this year Smile

WreckTangled · 12/10/2019 16:11

I didn't think Scotland had snow at Christmas. I remember a few years back we had loads of snow the week before Christmas but it was gone by Christmas Day. I want a log cabin and snow Grin

WheelchairWoes · 12/10/2019 16:21

Til it gets pretty wild the closer it gets to Christmas. Lots of prep and stuff and photos :)

Mrs We will try! It's super sunny and clear even though it's cold so it should be a nice time! The kids are throwing a fit about me making them dress warm lol

wreck I want a log cabin and snow too. It sounds like a good deal to me! I keep wanting a good 4 feet of snow haha

I got dressed in an Autumn jumper today! It's got pusheen the cat with leaves and mushrooms and acorns.
