Thank you @Jammiebammie for the thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Are you in the uk @TreeLinedMotorway ?
Does your phone have the location set to elsewhere?

Abibranning · 05/10/2019 18:36

Newly released Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch book currently half price on Amazon

margaritasbythesea · 05/10/2019 18:37

There are some very, very nice people on this thread!

(Looking at you RecklessGran Flowers and NoWordForFluffy Flowers)

Thank you with your help with the Sylvanians search. The upshot of it all for others that are looking, is that you should have a look at amazon and at these two places.

The official Sylvanian UK store

and
Jacinabox.ox.uk

What a fantastic thread this is. Well done everyone!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2019 18:37

Can anyone confirm which cookbook it is with a photo? I've seen two different covers on GH's own literature, so need to know if it's the one I got last year or not!

margaritasbythesea · 05/10/2019 18:39

MEant to say that the Sylvanian store has special offers on some sets here £2.99 shipping, though.

daphine2004 · 05/10/2019 18:43

@NotPennysBoat that’s an incredibly lovely thing to do. I’ve not long been on mat leave and received amazon gift vouchers from work and flowers. Whilst a very useful gift, I’d have absolutely loved vouchers for cook food. They sell home made ready meals and a package for new parents/lunch for the stay at home parent.

MorbidMuch · 05/10/2019 18:45

Sorry, @Ewock , it was a bricks and mortar Cancer Research shop I saw them in. They had loads in the window and looked like they'd been produced as new for CRUK rather than donated goods, but I can't see them online yet.

KMoKMo · 05/10/2019 18:45

www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/

Are you using this web address for the body shop?

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2019 18:48

Shipping is free from the Sylvanian store if you spend over £30 though (probably not hard!).

And I'm glad to have helped, @margaritasbythesea. Xmas Grin

riotlady · 05/10/2019 18:54

Hello folks :)

I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion of somewhere to get personalised Christmas stockings for a reasonable price? Ideally I’d like to get them from an established shop so that when we have DC2 I can get them one to match Grin

Not a fan of Santa sacks, I like stockings much better!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2019 18:55

We have stockings and sacks!

How big do you need the stockings to be?

Luxplus · 05/10/2019 18:58

@NoWordForFluffy I’m not quite sure tbh, average stocking size? XD not too big as then we’ll have to buy more presents lol

imip · 05/10/2019 19:09

@NaraDeer Flowers

I just wanted to add my experience in star toppers. When dd1 was stillborn I had similar thoughts to you. Babies have only a few ashes so instead I brought a beautiful Swarovski star tree topper. The problem with real Christmas trees is that the star is too heavy to actually sit on the top of the tree Sad so I’d advise just actually checking that it can sit on a tree because it’s usually just a very thin branch. Our star can also be made into a standing decoration, but it’s disappointing I can’t use it as I hoped.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 05/10/2019 19:27

@riotlady I have found this website but haven't got round to ordering yet so can't speak for quality etc

margaritasbythesea · 05/10/2019 19:36

Oo! They charged me shipping NoWordForFluffy and I definitely spent more than £30.i shall be on to them tomorrow!

Ewock · 05/10/2019 19:45

Thanks MorbidMuch I'll see if they have a shop near me.

JDSTER · 05/10/2019 19:56

Could anyone recommend a bean bag for DS aged 11? A decent well filled one that will last. Not sure about shape so any ideas gratefully received. It’s just for him to keep in his room for lounging around.

JaneyJimplin · 05/10/2019 19:58

Anyone know where the cheapest place to get a jumparoo might be?

Yeknom · 05/10/2019 20:03

@JaneyJimplin people are always selling them second hand on Facebook marketplace? Usually for around £20/25 if that helps. They're super handy but do take up space so people are always looking to offload them

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2019 20:03

How odd, @margaritasbythesea! It was one of the things I checked before sending you the links. (I pretended to check out to see what the shipping cost was!)

wibdib · 05/10/2019 20:04

@recklessgran Keep an eye on TK Maxx - I’m sure they used to turn up quite regularly at the one I used to go to. Haven’t checked online for them though.

runningpink · 05/10/2019 20:14

Xmassy I love my hygge bands, the patterns are fab and they stay in place. I find they do get a wee bit loose after a few wears but once washed again they are perfect.

runningpink · 05/10/2019 20:16

Ivegot, Dolphin and Noodle thank you all so much for the suggestions for the wee ornaments.
I will check them out properly later but I think between them I should be able to put something together. I am crafty thankfully which will help.

Thank you!
